So
I
recently
tried
Vedic
Thai
Massage
as
one
of
my
first
forays
into
eastern
healing
arts
with
David
in
his
cozy
studio
located
in
Saint
Matthews.
I
have
long
been
interested
in
yoga
but
for
one
reason
or
another
have
not
made
a
practice
of
it
in
any
way,
so
I
figured
it
would
give
Vedic
yoga
(a
friend
termed
it
lazy
yoga
to
me,
and
God
I've
been
known
to
be
lazy
as
hell)
a
go
after
having
received
my
first
traditional
massage
around
a
month
ago.
So
I
came
to
David
not
quite
knowing
what
to
expect
out
of
the
experience.
But
he
like
the
consummate
professional
that
he
is,
was
able
to
put
me
at
ease
and
explain
what
Thai
bodywork
is
all
about
and
how
I
might
be
able
to
benefit
from
it.
Ineffable
is
a
word
typically
a
quality
of
mystical
experiences
and
in
searching
for
words
to
describe
my
feelings
during
and
after
the
massage
it
truly
is
quite
difficult.
I
would
however
describe
my
first
session
in
Thai
Massage
as
a
mystical
experience.
To
say
that
I
was
moved
by
David
would
be
true
in
two
ways.
David
told
me
before
the
session
that
it
might
feel
as
if
multiple
people
were
in
the
room
manipulating
my
body,
moving
my
joints,
stretching
my
muscles
and
tendons...
and
it
did
because
the
man
was
using
all
four
limbs
concurrently,
truly
impressive.
David
stretched
parts
of
my
body
that
I
didn't
know
existed
before
this
session,
that
is,
I
never
paid
attention
to
them!
Specifically
some
of
the
support
muscles
located
in
my
ankles
were
worked
at
angles
that
were
moderately
uncomfortable
to
feel
moved,
but
this
was
truly
because
of
inactivity
and
made
me
realize
quite
a
few
things
about
my
own
inattention
to
my
health.
I
didn't
focus
on
my
breath
as
much
as
I
should
have
during
my
first
session,
but
I
do
know
that
some
of
the
deep
breathing
and
specifically
breathing
through
my
nose
enhanced
the
mystical
nature
of
the
90
min
session
and
left
me
feeling
absolutely
incredible,
light,
and
content
with
my
existence.
David
finished
the
session
with
some
wonderfully
scented
anointing
oil
that
he
applied
whilst
massaging
my
face
with
special
attention
to
my
third
eye.
This
left
me
feeling
absolutely,
positively
rejuvenated
and
quite
frankly
changed.
After
our
session
I
then
spoke
with
David
about
a
whole
myriad
of
topics
related
to
health
and
wellness
and
found
him
to
be
so
incredibly
educated
and
insightful.
I
can
highly
recommend
him
to
anyone
looking
to
explore
Thai
bodywork
and
I
look
forward
to
booking
with
him
again
soon.
