👍👍 Had gone with a friend for dinner on a Monday night and as expected, there were hardly any diners. But we loved the hospitality where we were given suggestions on what we could have and feedback on the food was also sought, twice.. Now coming to the food. Biriyani was pretty good.. Goat was tender.... People often mention Indian, chicken, service, restaurant, time, good, staff, dishes, order, delicious,

Had gone with a friend for dinner on a Monday night and as expected, there were hardly any diners. But we loved the hospitality where we were given suggestions on what we could have and feedback on the food was also sought, twice.. Now coming to the food. Biriyani was pretty good.. Goat was tender..we wanted order a fish curry but decided against it when we learnt that they have only basa fish.. So ended up opting for prawn vindaloo.. However! The prawn vindaloo was a bit below average, the potatoes had a mild strange taste to it while the curry tastes like a pickle.. Too much of spices and tamarind. Or something. We finished dinner with kheer and gulab jamun which was quite good. Over all a good place to visit but your experience will depend on what your order..

Great authentic Indian food! The staff are so lovely and friendly, they take pride in the food they make and the food itself proves that everything here is made with passion and love. We had multiple types of curries and what I really liked was the lady, when we were going to order to Raitas she said one would be enough for both of us, she could stay silent and let us order but she didn't think about the money, and that's something of great value! Highly recommend, good prices too!

Don’t be fooled by it’s humble appearance - this little restaurant boasts some of the best Indian in Melbourne. The chef is incredibly well versed in each regions premiere dishes so don’t be afraid to get adventurous. The staff here are incredibly kind and transparent, ordering is super fast and it’s unbelievably well priced for what it is. Can’t recommend it more

Ordered chicken fried rice, chilli chicken, prawns and loads of other dishes Prawns - not fresh, had off smell - we were told we would be refunded, nothing happened. Fried rice and chilli chicken is far from anything close to Indochinese. Horrible, very oily, avoid at all costs Butter chicken - 5/10 Naans - 5/10 Avoid at all costs, there are many fake reviews with 5 stars which made us spend $100 here. Avoid at all costs.

They are rebranding themselves with a New Name. A nice little boutique restaurant with pretty nice Ambience. The food is really below average. Especially if you are aware of the North Indian taste, it will be a disappointment. The staff is very veru courteous and 3rd star is just for their Hospitality. Chef really needs to up his/her ante. All the Best to the Lovely Owners.

Tonight I went to pick up our order and the Butter Chicken was missed. There are two issues with this: 1. When picking it up, I stopped her and asked her to double-check the order to make sure it was all present. Unfortunately she lied to me and said she'd done that. 2. When I got home and discovered the missing dish, I tried to call the mobile number advertised. Unfortunately the service hangs up on anyone trying to (be transferred and) speak with the restaurant. So I made the 15 minute drive back to the Glen Iris store. She apologised, of course, and I suggested that she should look at my wife's account and 'make this right'. She did nothing. 1 star rating: I simply hate being lied to. And not having any way to contact the store made it worse.

Service was good, I found the website for ordering very confusing. The food was good my only complaint is the goat curry comprised mainly bones with not much meat. Otherwise vg and we will reorder

We had our second visit on Sunday night. The food and service were excellent again. We have tried many Indian restaurants in Melbourne and this is now our favourite! The restaurant isn't fancy but the food is great! Highly recommended.

A taste of India like no other! The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a top pick. The biryani is a must-try—flavorful and satisfying.

my Wife and i went to this place for a date night, they were very accommodating to our needs. both of us love spicy food, started mild then went straight to spicy as suggested by the amazing staff. we enjoyed the amazing biriyani, paneer tika and the tandoori chicken the spicy was exactly what we were looking for. we thoroughly loved the food.

We loved their garlic naan, chicken biryani and special butter chicken. We also had freshly made mango lassi. Definitely coming back to try the others.

Wow wow wow! First time trying tonight and we are impressed! We ate the chicken biryani and the butter chicken and both commented that it was the best Indian food we’ve tried in recent memory. We will definitely reorder!

The taste and the quality of food is exceptional every time we get takeaway from this gem of a place. Excellent value for money and prompt service. We are very fussy eaters as we love to cook but their food is cut above many Indian restaurants.

Probably one of the best (if not the best) Indian restaurants in the area!

Fathima's is my family's favourite place for local Indian food. Food is top notch and the generous servings are a huge selling point. I've ordered the samosas several times and they're always fantastic.

Look, this place has the most delicious Indian food in the area. The butter chicken is incredible and we love the paneer. But seriously 4 times out of 5 our order is wrong. We pushed through because seriously, the food is so good, but we can't go there anymore because it's just so difficult to get everything right. We always end up missing an item or something being wrong. Maybe, just maybe, we've been super unlucky, on multiple occasions, but we're looking for a new local now. I'm not saying don't try it, cos it's delicious, but I am saying not to order on a night where you want to have everything simple, on time and just relax.

Great food and polite staff. No BYO or drinks menu might be the reason why this amazing restaurant had 4 people dining in on a Friday night. Call me Aussie but I like a drink with my meal.

Delicious food as always! We've ordered takeaway from here many times before, but went into the restaurant for the first time today. Lovely staff and having the food served fresh to you at the table makes it taste even better than at home.

We ordered the saag curry and the silky butter chicken with butter naan and saffron rice. Meat was very tender and curry was smooth and on the thicker consistency which we liked. We also liked that we could choose our spice level (mild, medium, hot).

I always order online (Uber Eats and lately on the restaurant's website), the service is always great, food is always hot, delicious and well packed. This is by far my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne.

One of the worst places to have tried Indian food. The restaurant/chef doesn't have a balance of keeping spices in the food. I had ordered mild and hot both the dishes. The mild one was too sweet and the hot one was super hot, like literally someone put an entire bottle of paprika in it. The Indo Chinese dishes were poorly made and presented and the same goes with the main dishes. Very disappointed with the place. I will never visit them again.

Had a great dine-in experience a couple of weeks ago. I’m familiar but by no means an expert on Indian cuisine however, I can vouch for the choice of dishes available and the excellent service from the staff.

These amazing people have made some incredible meals for me and my friends With their friendly staff it’s always easy to get the right meal for your needs. Multiple times they have allowed me to get a late night meal and made it to the best of quality. I will be forever thankful for the great service they’ve given!

We went to Fathima's Indian Kitchen in Glen Iris last night. We got the banquet and the food was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the butter chicken, hot and fresh naan bread and the gulab jamun. The waitress was very polite and helpful too. We all walked away very full and extremely happy with our Fathima's Indian Kitchen experience. Highly recommend this place.

Great Biryani! We were having a belated Diwali celebration 🎉 Fathimas really made it such a happy and memorable event! I would 100% recommend the biryani (chicken)! The food looked and tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly and we deeply appreciated the complimentary pappadums (as there was a very short wait). Fathimas is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the area Next time we would love to dine in! Thank you Fathimas 😊

Discovered this little gem of a place today while coming to inspect a property in Glen Iris. A family run business with delicious authentic North Indian food and top notch customer service. Orered the beef biriyani, baingan lamb, jeera rice and tandoori chicken! The food was amazing, had to wait a bit for the Tandoori but I don't blame them, I was there at a peak time and they really got extremely busy with takeaway and online orders, besides I finished my food in a flash so ended up taking the Tandoori as a takeaway. I was given a complimentary lassi for the wait, thanks Chef! Definitely coming back, not only for the food but also the fact that they really make you feel welcomed and are humble. Thank you!

I have tried so many Indian restaurants over the past 20 years and this place is hands down the best! I’m vegetarian and the chef will make me a special dish not on the menu all the time. He cares so much about his cooking and is shown in his quality dishes time after time.
