It's been a few years since my dog, Sandy, has passed, but when my elderly dog started having an issue with her eye, the local vets said her eye needed to be removed but they didn't want to operate on her for fear of her not waking up. They insisted that she should be put down. With her still in good health otherwise, not wanting her to go down to an eye problem, I looked for alternative options. Animal Eye Care not only worked out that her eye didn't have to be removed, but they were able to treat her for it. My best friend lived an additional 3 or 4 years in peace, and Animal Eye Care played a big part in this. My experience with you meant more than you can imagine. Thank you

Hello my name is Big heart. I am a Newfoundland. I turned one a week ago. I am writing this to say thank you so very much to Dr Jane, Dr Robin and the team at Animal Eye Care in Malvern East. Thanks to Dr Jane, Dr Robin and the team Animal Eye Care I can see the world now. Two months ago I could not even open my Left eye. I was in so much pain. So much so i was even told my a general Veterinary doctor from a different practice my left eye could go blind. I cried when I hear that. I was a 10 month old big puppy then. Can you imagine hearing that. Being a Newfie I am a puppy for about year and a half (may be bit longer than that). So prime of my puppy-hood I had do go through a potentially life changing situation. I had a severe corneal ulcer. I was told by the doctor from a different practice my ulcer is a result of a trauma to my eye. Due to that a corneal ulcer has developed. They tried to treat me for about three weeks and they were not successful. I don't blame them. They are not experts like the team at Animal Eye Care. So after getting an operation done to correct my eye at Animal Eye Care, straight away I started to get better. Day by day, slowly slowly I was able to fully open my left eye. I was slowly able to see properly from my left eye. I was given all clear today. Left eye corneal scarring is reducing. I sincerely hope that scarring would disappear as the days go by. All this time my servant Anthony looked after me. He gave me medicine, applied all the ointments and eye drops. So the moral of my story is, if you see your animal suffering from any eye condition, please take them to a reputable animal eye specialist like Animal Eye Care. I would highly recommend them. Thank you again very much Dr Jane, Dr Robin and the team Animal Eye Care. I highly recommend you to everybody. You friendly friend. Big heart

The level of care for my puppys surgery was exemplary. The staff explained all outcomes, risks and benefits associated with the surgery. Post care was terrific and when I had queries, I was responded to within a short time frame. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Thank you to all the team!

I just wanted to thank Dr Helen. She looked after me so well when I came in for my check up, She said I was doing very well with my eyes. Dr Helen, I hope you go well with your studies coming up. I know you will do a fantastic job. I was very excited to see 'my' Doctor Helen but I was a bit upset when I found out Megan had left, she was my very good friend and she used to call me the 'Sherriff'. I will miss you so much and I hope you enjoy your new job.

Absolutely disappointing!!! I would think twice before coming here! It seems this place is nothing but a cash grab. I am very disappointed with how my 1yo pup has been treated from here. She had a condition where her lenses had come loose, they charged us just over 3k to remove the lense. Not once were we informed that she would end up getting glycoma and needing her eyes removed. After the surgery not once did they do any testing to see how much vision she has. This shows that yous only care about taking peoples money and taking them for a ride. Shame on yous

The vet's there were great, if a bit rushed, I understand there are some potential emergencies etc they have.

Wanted my pet's eye trouble looked at. They wanted a $300 fee paid before being seen. I asked why, and why so much. Answer was "because the demand is high, we can" = outrageous & so different from how they used to treat patients. Money is now king = so sad, so bad! The owner's response in WRONG. It wasn't an emergency and NO appointment was made - therefore it couldn't be cancelled! My response to the fee demand was "That's outrageous! We won't be coming." and I hung up. How anyone can perceive that as agreement to an appointment is astounding! If an appointment was made, why wasn't the $300 paid? The owner's comments disclose the helper's veracity as questionable.

Accessing medication is too difficult at this clinic. We were provided a prescription that didn't last and the meds ran out. Noting there is a 24 hour notice period in the fine print, however I was repeatedly given timeframes of the meds being available that did not eventuate so we had to wait while our dogs eye deteriorated. Mulgave & Mount Waverley provide refills within the prescription period, however Malvern East require an online form, sign-off and waiting period for medication despite being within the prescription period. When I raised this concern with the Clinic, the owner informed me that the client & practitioner relationship will be terminated for myself and my dog! I was even informed that my dog will not be provided with any after hours or emergency care from Animal Eye Care. I am shocked and disgusted by the emotional & petty response by the owner, who clearly cannot handle this accurate & warranted feedback about the flawed medication process not in line with the local market standard. This is evident by his decision to prevent emergency medical services to an animal as some sort of personal grudge.

We really appreciated the compassion and care shown to us by the team and Dr Matt. We had to travel from the north-west suburbs for an emergency referral from our vet and we were seen quickly and without fuss. Dr Matt walked us through the injury our little dog had sustained and our treatment options (and costs). For a specialist (and emergency visit), I feel the costs are reasonable. Thank you again to the team at Animal Eye Care.

Amazing care provided for my dog Bolero. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Dr. Allison put so much care and effort into his consultation and was able to determine his prognosis which gave us a peace of mind. Thank you to the team at Animal Eye Care!

I have just returned from my first visit with Barkly to the Animal Eye Care Vet. Dr Robin was fantastic and explained everything in great detail and all understandable. Barkly is a very difficult dog at the vet and they were brilliant with him. Thanks and see you in two months!

Cupcake had his cataract surgery on 08/11/23 by Dr. Robin introduced by Richmond Vet. Dear Robin: thank you for all the hard work you and your team did on my 12 years old Spoodle , seems like you gave him a “second life”. Compare to the past 4 years, now he is so happy, so active and so enjoying his life instead of spending most of time on his bed. I’m so glad I have made right decision in the end base on your professional suggestion. Thank you and your team again and I wish all of you a happy new year and hope you can have some time off. See you in May 😊.
