recently had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful brunch experience at this Carnegie gem, and I must say it left me thoroughly impressed: 🍽Mango & Sticky Rice Pancake with Coconut Ice Cream -The Mango & Sticky Rice Pancake with Coconut Ice Cream is a must-try! The combination of the rich mango paste rice soufflé and the heavenly coconut ice cream was a symphony of flavors. The soufflé's texture was delightfully fluffy, with a pronounced egg taste that blended seamlessly with the coconut cream on top. The sweetness was just right. 🍲 Congee with Crispy Pork Belly - For those seeking a heartier option, the Brunch Congee with Crispy Pork Belly is a winner! The porridge is warm and comforting, topped with a perfect combination of hot spring egg and deliciously crispy pork belly. Rice cracker adds a delightful crunch to this savory delight.

The Nude Duck Cafe & Bar has rather nice Coffee in my opinion and the Bacon and Egg Breakfast Burger was awesome. I would have expected to pay more than $8.50 for the Breakfast Burger considering the price of things around Melbourne, I was pleasantly surprised, I would definitely recommend trying it out to see what you think.

The food at this place is absolutely amazing! It not only tastes delicious, but it also looks visually appealing. Each dish is prepared with great care and attention to detail. I’m particularly impressed by the diverse flavors that bring a delightful surprise with every bite. Furthermore, the presentation of the food is captivating, with beautiful color combinations and attractive plating. This combination of delectable flavors and aesthetics makes the dining experience truly remarkable. Even if you just ordered a simple dish like scrambled eggs on toast with avocado, highly recommend this brunch cafe.

Came here for brunch and tried a few things from the menu: - Chilli scramble egg was quite bland and the roti was dry, couldn't really taste any cheese. The best part of the dish was when you get some of the fresh chilli in the bite. - Prawns Tom-yum roll was pretty tasty; potato roll has a nice texture filled with plenty of fresh tasting prawns. Tom yum mayo had a tangy and zesty flavour; a bit too saucy, probably only need half the amount of mayo. Appreciate the lettuce holding the toppings to keep the potato roll from becoming soggy. - Matcha tiramisu drink was very creamy when you mix in the cheese cream; it was sweet with a strong matcha flavour. - SoufflΓ© pancake was sweet and not eggy. It was quite dense and not very airy for a soufflΓ© style pancake. Toppings and sides were nice and basic, strawberry sauce was not too sweet.

a very Thailicious brunch experience at BKK Lab. Favourite appetizer would be the Prawns Tom-yum Rolls, packed with a punch of spice and a burst of freshness. We also tried their Crispy Pork Belly Congee, a very heartwarming dish. We satisfied our sweet tooth cravings with the ultimate duo: soufflΓ© pancakes and mango sticky rice. The pancakes are so fluffy and jiggle. Best combo with fresh mango and thai sticky rice.

@bkk_lab πŸ“BKK Lab exceeded my expectations- the venue is stunning with their peach aesthetic and the food and drinks are a work of art. The place was incredibly busy on the weekend too. Matcha tiramisu ($9) 🍡& orange espresso ($9) β˜•οΈ are premium must tries! For pancakes their mango sticky rice ($24) and Thai milk tea ($22) were light and fluffy πŸ˜‹πŸ₯žβ˜οΈ- the texture was perfection. For savoury we loved the soft shell crab roll with chips ($19+ $4), and Wagyu beef burger ($22) πŸ” is also good for something less adventurous πŸ˜‹πŸ’• Loved this so much.

This place is INCREDIBLE! The atmosphere is so calm and inviting, the lights are nice and dim, the music is lovely, calm and quiet. Very autistic friendly. Jay went above and beyond! Super accommodating! She got us plastic cups and cutlery for the kids without us having to ask! So lovely and thoughtful! She even got us a spare plate when she overheard I was going to share my food with my daughter. The food was amazing! The strawberry pancake was light and fluffy, the strawberries were fresh and lightly bitter which worked great with the sweet crumble! Such a well thought out dish! Thank you so much for a delicious meal and a delightful experience!

Delicious Thai inspired brunch! Good place to go for something a little different than your standard cafe. Especially loved the Thai milk tea. Not too sweet! The brunch congee was delicious. So hearty and perfect on a cold morning. Service was wonderful and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

One of the best cafe in Carnegie, coffee was amazing and service was also good, we been there on a busy public holiday but the staffs were trying their best to provide the fast and good services. Also, for foods, we got congee, softshell crab burger, salmon croquettes and muffin all the foods were tasty 10 out of 10 with a reasonable price. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

This is a quirky and creative cafe that offers a fusion of Thai and Australian cuisine. The cafe has a unique and charming atmosphere that feels like it's straight out of a Wes Anderson movie (a pink wall and everything is in centre πŸ˜†). The location of the cafe is also easily accessible and convenient, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The menu at BKK Laboratory Cafe is innovative and diverse, with a range of dishes that cater to different tastes and dietary requirements. The pancake, which is infused with coconut and pandan flavors, is an interesting take on the classic pancake Although some may find it a bit dry. The creativity and fusion of flavors deserve a bonus point. Another popular option is the rolls, which are affordable and filling, making them a great choice for those on a budget. Plus, the Wagyu beef burger is huge with classic flavour. Coffee is alright to me. While the coffee at BKK Laboratory Cafe is decent, it's the dinner menu that really stands out with $2.5 per oyster on happy hours. The service at the cafe can be slow during busy times. Overall, a creative cafe that is worth a visit for anyone looking for something different but it's really missing a signature dish.

Suce a cute little place, lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff! We had the bacon and egg souffle pancakes which were perfect! Great fluffy texture, more pancakey then eggy like other souffle pancakes. We also got the wagyu meatball sub which was so good and had a great balance of flavour.

While the crispy pork congee, chicken congee, and drinks were all enjoyable, the congee could have benefited from a touch more salt to offset its slightly sweet flavor, which made it less savory than expected.

such an amazing experience! they recently introduced their dinner menu - thai cuisine made slightly modern but it def still stays true to its authentic thai cuisine! by day they serve up a brunch menu, and in the evening they transform the restaurant into an intimate dining experience! the Mussel Pot - mussels cooked in Tom Kha - was my absolute fav!!! definitely check this place out for good quality thai food!

A pretty cosy Asian fusion brunch spot with lots of nice winter warmer dishes for brunch. First time I've seen Thai Milk Tea panna cotta and it was the highlight for me - smooth, milk tea-y and crunchy granola. This goes perfectly with their chai - such a gorgeously presented loose leaf drink. The congee was a bit bland and parts of the pork belly were a bit dry but the egg on top was lovely!

Must be one of the reasonable priced cafes with both great quality and service. The little cafe is rightly placed in the heart of Carnegie, although small - the cafe is very vibrant. Can't complain, would very much come here again !!

They used to open for brunch and lunch only, but now they’re serving Thai food for dinner service as well! ❀️: Super delicious and impressed by the food. As a Thai, I can say the taste is very authentic. Haven’t had Sai Auo in so long, and the spices were on point! Northern Thai pork sausage served with pork crackling and a side salad. The Pla Phao Grilled Fish and Tempura Eggplant was also super delicious. Definitely coming back again!

Having just recently opened for dinner, The Nude Duck is serving up delicious Thai food that will satisfy any taste buds. The koi pla tuna sashimi, crying tiger grilled beef, eggplant tempura and sai auo northern sausage are the perfect starters to whet your appetite for the meal to come. Bold and punchy flavours, cooked beautifully, and the spicy kick to the northern sausages is a delight. The pla plao grilled fish and BBQ pork ribs are full of flavours, and so incredibly tasty. Definitely a must visit if you're in the vicinity of Carnegie! They are also open for breakfast and lunch too, and are coming up with a revamped menu so keep an eye out on that.

Friendly crews, fantastic burger. But it’s slightly pricy. Just a little bit. I repeat it, slightly. (But it still reasonable price:) )

Public holiday brunch at Nude Duck today so surcharge was expected which was fine though word of warning the bathrooms are not very child changing friendly (gave up and did it in the car). Food was prettily presented though I did say no chilli on my smashed avo dish which was repeated back to me by the waitress but somehow didn’t translate to the kitchen. It also lacked salt and lemon, some basic seasoning which would have really improved the flavour. They did allow us to split the bill itemised though which was appreciated

Consider me a convert to a Melbourne, these two breakies melted in our mouths and took us on an adventure. One meal is more than enough, but you want to eat it again even though you are stuffed. The coffees could become a rolling thing one after another. 10/10 Would eat again

Went there over last weekend with my partner. Their Thai style brunch was really good. We also tried their signature mocktail, both taste refreshing. Overall it was a good experience!

This cute Thai style cafe serves both brunch and dinner! We went for brunch last week, and order quite a lot to share. Highly recommend chilli scramble on roti and roasted pork roll! It’s something you will crave every now and then :) will come back in the future!

  • 5/5 Li Y. 10 months ago on Google
I love Thai style roast pork but I did not expect th pork roll to be so delicious. The bread was the highlight, it was soft and sweet. Was it French brioche? Chili scramble egg was so so, I find the roti a bit chewy to my liking. I expected it to be fluffy. Milk tea was good but you might need to stir it a bit because the flavour is at the bottom. Overall 4 star and I will come back just for the pork roll.

The best cafe on Carnegie’s main drag! I’ve eaten breakfasts and lunches here and it’s been consistently good each time. The food is always so fresh, delicious, and the presentation is incredible! They somehow made a pickled onion segment look like a pink lotus flower petal on the side of my sandwich plate πŸͺ· The staff are super friendly and the place is always really clean. Great muffins too if you need something quick to go in the morning 🧁 β˜•οΈ
