We had a great time here! Camped in a tent at spot #97 and #98. The site was little small, so we had to park along the road. Not many campers in this side of the park so it was quiet. The loop with the RVs was packed! The equine trail head was right next to our site, so the kids were happy to see an occasional horse. We could occasionally hear a horse from the horse corrals which are nearby. Site #97 did not have a cooking grate on the fire ring, #98 did. Both sites were partial shade and had picnic tables. We walked around and this park is beautiful! There's a picnic area (one table) down on the lake where we took some nice photos. The beach was nice and clean and the kids had a blast there. We wished there was somewhere to rent kayaks or paddle boats. Overall, we had fun and would come here again!

Jeff was a great help getting situated. Cabin was clean and cozy. Great views, calm, and serene surroundings. Wish could have extended our holiday. Park has equestrian trails, rv lots, tent lots, and studio cabins.

3 fires is a lovely little state park in Iowa, Is near Bedford. It was very clean the bathrooms were great, Lots of dumpsters for trash. They could use a few more water spigots. The beach is lovely! I am a Birder, Lots of bird action there, Lovely walking trails. I really enjoyed my stay there

Lake is pretty small and silty. Beach has nice sand and is roped off. Park is older very limited for camper spots, lots of nice tenting spots. Lots of upkeep needed on picnic tables and other wooden structures Nice rest rooms & showers

Beautiful for a small, intimate wedding and great accommodations in the cabins, too.

Warning on the road to the beach area. Drive CAREFULLY as the right side of the road going down is VERY ROUGH and has been for several years. Don't blame the local park workers as the state DNR controls the funding for fixing this. Going down the hill to the beach and boat ramp, the left side of the road is smoother.

So I took my wife here for our 25th anniversary. We brought kyaks and the lake was literally overtaken by Lilly pads. The cabins are advertised with stoves and in fact only have a 2 burner hotplate. I'm a guy who likes to cook breakfast on a campfire but the grates are bent and warped so bad a pan wouldn't survive. For the money it sucked.i won't return there.
