Located in the heart of Gordon Square, this restaurant has a lot of warm wood inside and a nice patio outside with lots of heafty stone. The bar area is large with lots of chunky wood. I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed in the food, service, or drink. They have a good selection of beers, as well as all types of liquor. They do not have a large menu, but everything on the menu is very good. The brisket sandwich is tender and juicy. If you get it loaded with onions and add cheese, it's even better. On this day, I had the Roasted Turkey Club sandwich. It comes on soft deli bread with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The turkey was thick cut and juicy. The sandwich was full of flavor. I got it with the side of their house apple coleslaw. Which is always good. This neighborhood gem is worth a stop in.

Went there March 16 this year. My son was in town to celebrate his 28th. We had a couple pints and a shot of Jameson. Its a really cool place!! The woodwork in there is incredible. Just like being back in a pub in Ireland! Service was great too!

First time here! We dined on the patio with a view of the stone fountain. Our appetizer course was the Chicken Paprikash Dip with Homemade Soft Pretzels. Both were delish, especially the dip, which is something I've never had before. We ordered the Special of the Day: Chicken Pot Pie w/side green salad and the Spinach Salad with Salmon. The Chicken Pot Pie was under-seasoned, so my husband sprinkled the kosher salt from the pretzels into this dish. It worked, but he shouldn't have had to do it. My Salmon was perfect! Moist, tender and seasoned. We did not opt for dessert this time, maybe later. Overall, for our first visit it was a pleasant experience. We'll be back again to try more dishes and play some bocce ball! Ciao!

An Irish Pub in a quaint Italian neighborhood! What a gem! The beer was delicious and the food was excellent. Nice sized portions....large enough to share. Beautiful patio with a large fireplace. Live music inside while we were there on a Sunday evening.

Great Sunday special with chicken pesto. Also, the waitress was spectacular even with being the only server.

First time in tonight. We didn't eat, but the atmosphere was amazing! We were blown away by the stone work and stained glass. Rueben took his time and gave us a tour. We cannot wait to come back. Bar service was fantastic. Check this gem out if you get a chance.

Drinks were good, atmosphere was excellent. We walked in off the street and asked the bartender after we ordered if we could sit on the patio and he assured us that it was fine even though we ordered from the bar that he would take care of us. When we went outside the waitress was very upset about this because we brought our happy hour drinks outside and β€œthe patio will fill up and she only wanted people who ordered outside to be outside.” If she was not so rude we would have stayed and ordered from her outside but seeing as it was dead at 4:00 on a Thursday and how she was talking us we decided to leave after our drinks were finished. Would come back again but not if this waitress was working.

Just a great place to eat for just about any occasion. My wife and I stopped here after a day at Edgewater. Dress here is casual but not too casual and you would not be out if place in business casual. The outdoor seating area is our favorite with all of the stone while the indoor seating has kept the feel of the original building. The food is outstanding and the menu is small, which I like. The burgers are amazing and at 12 ounces are plenty big enough to share, if you want. My wife ordered the ribs special and those were prepared perfectly. If you are looking for a great place to eat and drink, on a date or with friends this is a must see. Come out and visit Gordon Square and then finish your day here.

The beer was good (though the draft list could have been longer), and the food was decent (the pizza was soft, but also deliciously cheesy; other menu items were hit or miss). However it’s impossible to beat the ambiance and charm of this historic building!

Highly recommend this restaurant & pub near Gordon Square! Right when you walk in, there's such a cool vibe that feels like you're not in Ohio anymore. The building is huge which is great when it's a busy night - we were seated immediately on a Friday night for dinner! We started with the chicken paprikash dip that came with a soft pretzel and it was INCREDIBLE. The Caesar salad and margarita pizza were awesome as well. The staff was super helpful and quick even though it was a crowded night. I'll definitely be back soon!

The pizzas crust and toppings were really buttery and delicious - it was close to enough food for two. I recommend the supreme with the brussel sprout appetizer to split. A 'medium' burger came out well, so order accordingly. The brisket and salmon BLT were also great.

Good food and atmosphere. I loved all the stained glass and mosaic art. Make sure you check out the bathroom artwork.

The drinks and food were wonderful, however I have never had such horrible service. 45 minutes from the time we ordered until we actually had something to eat. That is due to the total incompetence of the waiter, who's name was Chris. Other tables, with a different server, were waited on and received their food in a timely manner.

Great atmosphere I love the oldeness of the wood in the architect. But the food is really good the Irish Burger is awesome shepherd's pie and their Brie very very good. I give it a thumbs up

Very inviting atmosphere greeted by Joe who was polite and the good looking bartender. He makes fabulous Long Islands and is a pleasure to be served by. The mussels were a nice touch with Happy Hour pricing for only 6 bucks! The burgers are to die for! They are worth every cent! Who can forget the delicious slaw made with apples and "homies"?(Their hash brown french fries) Thanks Joe n Stone Mad Pub for being a part of our Friday night fun! Definitely returning here.

Atmosphere: Bomb! Food: Good! Good for groups: Excellent! Price: Slightly Expensive Overall: Great place! Go, go, go! Atmosphere: Stone Mad Pub is a wonderful place to take a date or to go with a group of friends. When you first walk in,, you are invited to an open floor/stand up bar which was being used for a large party of about 25 people. The next room is one of the main seating areas, very dark but also had a fireplace to help light the room. The atmosphere was much more rustic than I expected, but I enjoyed it! The back room is much brighter with large windows to illuminate the room with natural light. This is also the room where they have a bocce court which is really fun! (The court is a little too fast for the balls used but makes it for a fun/competitive experience.) Food: I went with a group and we started off with the Chicken Paprikash Dip as a starter. Fantastic! Packed with flavor and similar to buffalo chicken dip. I ordered the Irish Burger since the Stone Mad Burger was so expensive to add all of the additional. It had a huge patty and fresh ingredients but I was shocked at how tasteless the beef was. It was still good, but almost tasted like there was absolutely no seasoning or marinade put in it. The Stone Mad Fries needed a little more salt but that was an easy fix. My date ordered the four cheese pizza and had the same feedback. Good, but seemed like it was missing something. Overall: I had a blast. The place sparked great conversation and the beer list was really good. Not to mention the Stone Patio and Bocce court that would make this place a must try during the spring/summer. I will definitely be back again!

This is the best. We went in the side door, not one person in there. Left 1 hour later there wasn't a seat to be had. Found out they had a wedding party in there. The food is good, only top shelf drinks, a place for the young, and for the young at heart. Never been disappointed.

Great overall place for food, drinks, and service. Patio is beautiful and Bocci is also available for entertainment. We recently needed to reserve space for 30 people for a birthday party and Stone Mad was the only place that responded and accommodated us professionally. They made planning our event simple, and the entire party was really impressed with the food and service. (Thank you Bryan. Keep up the nice work! ~ Jackie and Greg)

Great old restaurant and good new food, I had the mac and cheese it was delicious. The drinks were amazing. The inside decor looks like you're walking into a scene from " The Godfather". The outside patio looks great with seating and the fireplace.

The brisket sandwich and dining on the patio with our dog was the best. Lilly said her burger was perfect. Yeah, I love having my dog along for the Sunday adventure!

Had a great meal with friends. Salmon on the salad was nice sized and well cooked. Brussels Sprouts were excellent. Everyone else enjoyed theirs. Nice selection of beer and full bar. Service was well handled and not hurried at all.

😠 The best thing about this place is the decor and the gift shop. The food is more salty than a crusty old pirate. The server was great. My drink order was wrong, got a new one. Slow going on all accounts. Hubby couldn't eat his food- hard chicken, freezer burnt shrimp, salty broccoli, yuck! Stroll i...
