I'm not sure what I was expecting, which is why I'm generously giving 4 stars. I wasn't expecting this, though. I think this place is a true sports bar. I didn't know that. Someone told me they have good burgers, and they're hand pattied. My husband hears or reads about a good burger, and he has to try it. So you go in, the music is blaring. There will be no conversation. The seating is all angled and oddly placed, so you may be able to watch the game, or you may not be able to. Because of the way the seating is placed, you may get a piece of a bar to eat your food at, a full table, or wing it. We found a regular table in the back. You seat yourself, scan the QR code for the menu, and then go to the bar to order. There is no service. If you need something, you go to the bar. The only service is there or when they bring out your food. That's it! My husband ordered the Western Burger. I didn't get a great pic, but he said it was really good. It was loaded with bacon. Not like 1 piece cut in half. It had about 4 good, crispy pieces on it. He said he would absolutely buy it again. My son ordered wings. He said they were good. I ordered chicken tenders, and they sucked. The fries are the real winners, tho. They were so amazing. Some of the best fries I've ever had.

Ok bar. They were packed after a Guardians game. Nothing special in my opinion. They have a long bar and lots of drafts. The cool thing was all the bobbleheads. The pretzel bites were pretty good.

Whether pregame or post game, City Tap is a great bar to go to with friends. Beer selection is large and prices are fair. The appetizers, especially the loaded tater tots, are worth getting! Food came out very fast and portions were worth the money. the layout here is also nicely laid out, creating a fun experience.

Wonderful inner city craft beer bar and restaurant. At least 40 different and unique craft beers. Different styles from ales, to wheats, to IPAs to BBA stouts! Their wings were coated and actually, meat fell off of the bone! Wonderful decor or lighted liquor bottles and all sorts of Cleveland athlete bobbleheads on display

Excellent handmade fresh burgers. Didn't expect that kind of quality in a sportsbar. Nice.

They don't call this place City Tap for nothing! If forty beers on tap is not enough you have another 60 bottle / can options! You will find something you like here. Try the pretzel bites for a snack or the burger or wings for something larger. Friendly and efficient wait staff even on the busiest of nights.

The bar has a great variety of beers, through the spectrum of styles. I took 2 milkshake smoothie beers that were amazing. The bartenders know a lot about beers, and looked very professional making cocktails.

We went right at 1100am and got right in. Food and drink service was as the bar, which was really no big deal. Good food and drinks. Great for a pregame meal.

From the power hour drink specials to their delectable honey sriracha wings, this is the perfect place to meet before or after the game. It has an energetic atmosphere that attracts a diverse cross-section of Cleveland locals. This bar is a worthy ambassador of Cleveland for any tourists lucky enough to discover.

Stopped off for drinks after MJBlige concert @Rocket Mtg Fieldhouse. Heavy crowd, 4 people behind bar, all seemed to be on break. Ordered two drinks between them passing me by. You know sometimes you walk in a business and workers are eager to help or serve you, this wasn’t one of those by places.

A loud, bustling sports bar right next to the fieldhouse with great burgers and extensive drink options. After running through the snowy streets of Playhouse Square searching for any place with an open kitchen, a noisy oasis opened its doors for us. Inside was a bustling crowd of post-game Cavaliers fans enjoying the holiday evening. Tables are all first come first served and you order food at the bar. We were lucky enough to snag a too large table for our group of three but happily traded it to a larger group for the smaller table they had found. For this busy night, they were running a limited menu. The bartender was patient with me as I figured out food and drink while he had plenty to take care of. As we settled into our seats with our drinks, the food was brought up to us not long after. We were hungry and had put in a lot of work to get to this moment. The burger not only hit the spot, it obliterated it. I quickly wolfed down the burger and fries. It wasn’t the easiest visit of the weekend, but it was a great way to cap it all off. Go here if you’re looking for that lively sports bar experience. The place is massive and has two floors and you’re never far from a TV.

Great beer selection, great bartenders if you’re polite. They will dog you if you act a fool they will treat you like a fool. It’s a service industry style late night bar and sports bar . If you don’t like it you may be the problem. Regulars are always there and will always love this spot. It’s like Mr Rodgers neighborhood for the downtown regs.

The food here was really good. I can’t remember the burger I had but it was good, and so were the fries and wings I shared with colleagues. The drink was great and I’ll be sure to eat here again when I’m Cleveland the next time. Also, service was quick. I’m not sure if that was because it was weekday or not but still, I enjoyed the vibes and food here.

Favorite after work hang out. Great for drinks after a Cavs or Monsters game. Steve is the best bartender ever!

This is my go to place after a Monsters game. Great beer selection. Food is very good. Can't go wrong with the pretzel and cinnamon butter combo

Michelle is awesome and recommended a sour that I really enjoyed. I also watched the large one with red hair throw a tiny foam ball at her head. So many sports balls everywhere! 10/10 would bring my friends balls here.

The food was great! The services was HORRIBLE….the young lady that took our order walked by us twice, once our food was delivered, and never acknowledged us. We both needed more to drink! Another young lady did ask me if I needed anything and refilled my drink. Then she continued to carry on a conversation with her friends. Again no acknowledgment….I finally asked for another refill. Finally the original server asked if she could get us anything (Obviously we were finished..napkins on top of our food)…I said yes, maybe our ticket.

Really good food - we had burgers and wings- and efficient service despite huge pre-game crowd. Also, good beer selection. Was definitely full before sold-out playoff game. Closure of Winking Lizard next door cuts down on options.

Great bar set-up...we loved the bobblehead collection & the bottle display with the led lights. The drinks we ordered were good...the staff were courteous, attentive & ready to serve us as soon as we sat down. Nice cool vibe.!!

We spent a week’s worth of nights at a recent conference out on the town, and every night we ended up at City Tap. Bar has a good selection of drinks for good prices, is within easy walking distance of down town hotels and restaurants, and has a pretty relaxed sports-meets-dive bar vibe that was great. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This is a nice place to go to have a cold Beer and something to eat. They have lots of different kinds of Beers. The prices seem kind of high. Two beers and a basket full of fries. 17.00 dollars. To high for me. Check the place out!

Great beer selection, and the little tacos are fire, didn't take a photo because we ate them too quickly but the clean plate club strikes again.

Beer selection was pretty mediocre, lots of macro breweries and corporate owned breweries. Not many vegan options for food. This bar is in a great location and has a decently cool space, but I'd rather support independently owned breweries and eat better food. Overall not terrible but not great.

My wrap was the most beautiful, well put together I've ever had. Great flavor in every bite! My husband's burger (the barnyard) was amazing as well. High fives to the kitchen staff for the best food served to me in quite a while! The servers was great as well! The ladies behind the bar were very nice!

😠 The best thing about this place is the decor and the gift shop. The food is more salty than a crusty old pirate. The server was great. My drink order was wrong, got a new one. Slow going on all accounts. Hubby couldn't eat his food- hard chicken, freezer burnt shrimp, salty broccoli, yuck! Stroll i...
