One of the liveliest most friendly and exciting brewhouse restaurants you will ever enjoy. Live music, amazing food, great beer, and lots and lots of cheering. Be prepared to dance on benches or do a conga line if you're interested. And if you're especially enthusiastic you can do ski shots with groups of 4 at a time. (Honey Nut Cheerios shot is a win personally). Restrooms are well kept, outdoor seating is superb and more quiet when the weather allows. If indoors then be prepared for loud music and lots of table banging and fun. As for the service, the staff are super nice, altho there is a wait for food when its packed. But your liter or beer (choose from many options that are all pretty great) comes immediately. And if you're not feeling beer then pick a good wine and they will bring you a good bottle. Food and dessert options are really actually filling and delicious. Recommend for groups of at least 3 to 4 people who are not afraid to make some noise or be in a lively setting. Awesome place.

I'm what some may call a "boring eater" since I get a burger almost everywhere I go, but I just really love burgers and Hofbräuhaus in Cleveland did not disappoint. The food was incredible and so was my viking-sized mug of beer. Highly recommend checking this place out. From the server uniforms down to the performers on stage, I loved it.

Very similar to columbus but true to its Cleveland roots. Chose a local favorite dish and was very satisfied! The hostess Barb was amazing! Seated us quickly even with a huge party coming! Thank you! The waitress was great and the beer was cold! Stop in here!

The most authentic German beer hall experience with live Polka music and food. The stein holding competition was entertaining and fun. There are numerous TVs to watch all sporting events. This was a hell of a time. Can't miss place for OKTOBERFEST

I went at the perfect time for me (1 pm on a Friday). The service was good and staff helpful. The food could have been warmer and mashed potatoes were dry, but it gave the feeling of being in Munich or Berlin. I will go back.

We took 50 kids here on a field trip before the Cleveland Guardians game. I can't say enough about the service we had! We ordered ahead of time with Eva and everything was perfect and served timely and fresh. They even had little name cards for each individual. The kids and adults loved the experience here! Thanks for a great dinner!!

This place is a good time! 10/10 for atmosphere. Saturday night is hoppin', great live music. Highly recommend the pork schnitzel, pictured. Was a big fan of the potato salad and the cranberry orange relish. Other things we tried- Potato pancake with applesauce, goulash, spaetzel, black forest cake all just "okay". Lively place, extremely loud with band and expect to shout across the table, as everyone is cheering and clapping for the ski shot drinkers who stand and take the 4 person shot together. Despite the drinking still family friendly, saw some toddlers and kids with families. Great place for all ages, young and old and everything in between- a tenant of the German village festival culture! Small playground outside for kids if there's a wait. Great service from all staff, many who wear traditional clothing dirndls etc. Parking lot across street $10, playhouse garage was $20.

Possibly the best dining experience I've had! The food and service was amazing! The atmosphere was unbelievable. The german band played great music and the energy in the place was second to none. We went on a friday night to celebrate our anniversary, was our first time, we were blown away! Can't wait to go back!

This place is a great gem! Authentic atmosphere, great food and beer, live entertainment polka band and outstanding service. A regular stop after a show at playhouse (and your receipt can get you a big discount on valet parking)

Good food, and good beer. Had cod and pierogies, along with a side of hot potato salad w/bacon. Service was great. If forced to find a negative, my SO and shared an entree, side, one beer, soda, and desert - and it was over $50. Yes I know, big city, inflation, etc. If I'm in town for a special occasion again, I'll come back.

Food is good, highly recommend breaded pork (Jaegerschnitzel). Very well-seasoned, flavorful, good match with German noodle as side dish. 1 star off is for the noisy environment.

Wow very cool! Modeled after the original in Munich. HUGE. Went at 7pm on a weekday. I don’t recommend this late, they close at 8 but I didn’t know until I got there. But it also happened to be Thursday which was $7 liter/beer day so that made up for it! Definitely recommend trying it on a weekend with a group of friends. Beer was good. Service was good enough. Food was good. Look how hilarious my liter of beer looks next to a regular wine glass.

This place is the schnitzel! Great atmosphere, great food and of course great beer! Prices are good for the amount of food you get. Large bench table layout so you get to be friendly with your neighbors. Always fun when they have a band playing too! Parking sucks but they have valet which is good.

Very energetic and fun place to gather with friends. Great food and beer selection. Parking across the street is a bit tight. The place has an Octoberfest feel. Great band for Saturday nights. They play German music, polka, and cover popular sing-a-long songs to get the place going.

What a real treat this was! Came across Hofbrauhaus essentially out of the blue, not knowing they had more locations outside of Germany. Been to one’s in Berlin and Munich and it has the same life and feel. The service here was really bad but whatever! Hah.

Excellent food and service. Cool atmosphere. We went for the Sunday brunch buffet. A little pricey at $35 but it included bottomless beermosa and fresh schnitzel for the table. Really cool place inside too.

Wonderful! Am coming back. Schnitzel was always my favorite way to check out a German restaurant, now the roast pork is. And the Chef, a gentleman, came out to see if we were happy, to which we said a resounding YES!

Incredible atmosphere, highly recommend if you love German food! It's best to make reservations for this restaurant. There is parking across the street, it was 6 dollars so not bad. Server was sweet and friendly and the beer she recommended tasted great. I had the braumeister schnitzel which was very good, so were the German potatoes and my husband had the haddock which was the biggest piece of fish I've ever seen! Should have gotten dessert but was too full so maybe next time. Will definitely return! Danke Schoen!

Stayed the night in Cleveland on our way to Chicago and stumbled upon this gem. They offer GF gluten free menu items, the food was good, prices reasonable and the service was friendly. Arrived at 6:30pm with no reservation but was seated quickly. There was a live band and the place filled up by 7:00pm. Also got to enjoy the tapping of a new keg of beer. The restaurant and city was such a delightful surprise that we may return to stay a few days!

Came for our son's 27th birthday. Walked from the Arcade hotel unaware we needed reservations before 7pm due to a Broadway frozen play. Barb the host was amazing and set us anyways. She's adorable and a staple to this place ❣ our waitress Katie P was great. Great food and beer. 👍👍👍 always a great experience. Cleveland/Columbus

I love these restaurants. Im always surprised how close the food resembles the Munich location. Had sauerkraut balls for the first time...yummy. My wife had a vegan bratwurst that was so good i took a second bite.

Unique place to eat and/or drink before shows at Playhouse Square. Food is decent, but service can be slow at times. Fun atmosphere.

This is the real German experience. If you don't like noisy bars, this is not the place for you. Live music is great & atmosphere is better. Food is good & drinks are very well priced. Price per person is based on a few drinks each 🍻

Wonderful German music band The schotzkies, playing music in German lyrics that I remember from my fatherland. I had the pork roast with dumplings and red cabbage instead of sauerkraut. Excellent food, excellent beer. I left very happy!

Absolutely delicious! Please open a minnesota location!! Had the jagerschnitzel and a hefeweisen and both were fantastic. Portion of food was enough for 2 meals which i was glad to have again! Arrive down touristy Euclid avenue. The streets north and northwest with apartments when traveled on foot will have offensive things yelled at you at each apartment complex.

An official franchise of the original Hofbrauhaus in Munich, the Cleveland location does a great job with the atmosphere, food, and entertainment. The beer is excellent (and can be ordered by the liter!) and the menu is excellent and contains some local specific items as well (pierogies, for example).

👍 March 2022: Stopped here for lunch on a comp from the Jack Casino. They gave me $30 that I used to get the Double melt, tots, vanilla shake, and chili to go.
