Our family stopped in for pizza before seeing Christmas lights with 3 kids. Unfortunately Sianatos’ dining room was closed for a private party. Instead of sending us away, the staff went above and beyond to set up a table in the lobby! The food was incredible and the family loved the experience! Thank you again, we will definitely keep coming back!

We did a Tik Tok out of the two pizza places we ordered extra cheese this is what we got! I was not acknowledged upon arrival the place was very busy but the workers just walked past me until one asked if I was picking up, placed my card in the machine and disappeared I had to grab my receipt and leave. I called left a message and no one ever called me back. Needless to say they lost the pizza challenge and that will be our first and last time visiting!

First time here and had a great time. The calamari was some of the best I've had in cleveland, the caprese was good and our server/bartender was great! Tori made sure I had a good experience, gave me suggestions and was super sweet. Good location, parking was east to find, competitively priced, has a patio, full bar and good food.

Not a good experience. Here on a Saturday night but most tables empty. Told to seat ourselves. More than ten minutes to see waitress who asked for drink order without offering menus. MANY people walking through open kitchen including a toddler waiving a stuffed animal and a guy in shorts who is either hanging out with his employee friends or just decided not to wear his uniform. Doesn’t appear to be working but has the run of the place. Lights overhead flickering every thirty seconds the entire time. There are literally three other tables with people. Eventually asked on status of our order after 40 minutes. Meal came after 55 minutes but only after waitress standing over kitchen staff. Chicken parm chewy/ undercooked. Sent back. Canceled order. Asked for manager but another server was sent over and said manager was not available. They took both our meals off the bill. My son said his spaghetti and meatballs was good. Table next to us served cold meatballs and their bill was wrong.

We had zucchini planks with lemon aoli. Aoli had no flavor except mayo. The place was dead and the server was overwhelmed. She certainly tried though and was friendly. The calzones were yummy. Great local beer selection. In the past they were served with a garnished pint. Now you get the can and have to ask for a glass. Overall, lunch was good.

They've been here for 50 years. I'm glad that I came! I ordered for carryout, after I missed the lunch buffet. The kind lady approached me and said that she could make a pizza for me, New York style like I prefer and she followed through. Unbelievable.. I know good pizza, and Cleveland clearly has had very few good pizza places. Thank you🙏 finally I found my place.

This was the first and last time we will go to this restaurant. We had reservations for 5:30, when we got there we went to check in for our reservation the only waitress for the restaurant said "Oh, well I didn't know that." When we arrived most of the restaurant was empty, "luckily" the reservation wasn't needed. We ordered shortly after arriving, a salad, spaghetti, and a pizza. Then we waited for 1 hr and 15 minutes for the side salad to come. We then waited 30 more minutes to get any more food, which we only got because we stood in the kitchen demanding our food. When we got the food it was next to inedible; the pasta sauce tasted like ketchup, and the pizza was served in a pizza box and was lukewarm at best. The service was inattentive, in her defense 4 tables is a lot to handle by yourself, please note the sarcasm. All in all, I would give 0 stars if I could.

The pizza was excellent and the restaurant, including the restrooms were clean. The bottom of the crust had some crispness but was still soft and light. The sauce was good. The toppings all tasted fresh, and overall, this was one of the best pizzas I've had.

Worst Italian food experience. Pesto pasta was dip in 2 cups of oil instead of pasta sauce and no pesto was there. Place was super empty.

First time here. We will definitely be back! We had the cavatelli and meatballs, meat ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, and a small meat lovers calzone. Huge portions, and the meatballs were amazing! Great service an great prices

Located next door to Cleveland Metroparks’ Merwins Wharf & Rivergate Reservation, Sainato’s newly-renovated dining room is amazing and the pizza and pasta is some of the best that you will find in the area.

Nice spot. We were in the area for an afternoon drive and were lucky to find this spot. I would definitely recommend the lasagna (big hearty & tasty), the Italian sausage & fried provolone cheese (appetizer were the bomb). Great folks, and very prompt. Food was hot & veeeeeery tasty. We sat at the bar as the place was quiet busy. There is also outside seating. A definite must try if you like great food!

I used to really enjoy the pizza here. Granted it could be a bit greasy at times but it was a good price and always hit the spot. I recently ordered two pies and a sausage appetizer ( legit sausage). The crust was tasteless and seem to lack any yeast influence. The pizza itself was tasteless and was greatly in need of any seasoning ( any seasoning….at all). There was maybe half a link of Italian sausage in yeh app and some undercooked peppers. Not to mention it was over fifty bucks for this school lunch tasting pizza disaster. Do yourself a favor and hit up your local Pizza Hut.

I haven’t dined in here, but I have been to the brewery next door Brick and Barrel. They allowed our party to order at Sainato’s and then they delivered the food to us in the brewery. The server that took our order was friendly. The food is delicious and their pizza is the best around. Will definitely recommend this place to others, and dine in next time I’m in the area!

Delicious Pizza. Just like I remember! Taking home our midnight snack The best! Check it out!

Sainato’s is a good, Italian restaurant. Other reviewers here seem to have a problem that it’s not the most high scale restaurant they have ever been to. That is perfectly fine. If you want a good Italian meal for a fair price and quick turnaround. Look no further! Remember they also have takeout if you want to grab a pizza on the way home.

We enjoyed dining on the patio. Even saw a huge ship go through the lift gate. All of our food was delicious. The staff were wonderful. Love this restaurant. A highlight of our stay in Cleveland.

Food was decent. I ordered the spinach lasagna and it was good, not as “blow your mind, flavors are intense” good. But it’s lasagna, you know. Came in on a Friday night with a group of 12~ people, it wasn’t busy at all and it seemed as if they were limited in wait staff that night as well. Reason to why I say that is because service was very slow and at one point I think the wait staff had forgotten we were sitting outside and it took very long to get our food and drink orders in and out. About an hour since we’ve sat down of waiting for wait staff to come out, to another hour if not hour and a half to getting our food (I think food are made to order but…) Inside looked nice, plenty of tables, a pretty big bar space and adequate outdoor patio seating. The road this restaurant sits on does get busy and loud in car traffic passing by. I’ve read other reviews of the low quality customer service and having experienced it myself, that kind of sucked.

It's a great little restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. The food was excellent and the portions way more than generous. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a nice Italian meal out.

I've had a couple of people tell me that Sainato's (at Rivergate) had great Italian food and then after reading some reviews on here, I decided that I was going to give this place a try. Today is my birthday and my Mom wanted to treat me to Lunch and so I recommended that we give Sainato's a try. (I always feel bad when writing a review and due to my experience, I'm unable to give the place what I would consider a High Rating). To start off, I was kind of shocked when we walked into the restaurant at 1:30pm and the place was totally empty, we were the only table. My first impression was that the dining room was clean, the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, and it smelled great! I had read a few reviews that mentioned a Lunch Buffet, and even though I mistakenly decided to get the buffet, it was definitely sub-par in my opinion. There was a traditional salad option that was good, but then the pizza had been sitting out for so long that the bottom of the pieces had become soggy (which soggy bread is always a turn off for me), then there was some old penne noodles saturated in oil to prevent them from sticking and I imagine to try and give the impression that they were not that old. Then the pasta sauce to me was just average, nothing special, same as the meatballs. The price was not too expensive at least, and it's possible that on a different day, maybe when they're busier, they will offer fresh food items on the buffet. For the service, I wish there were 0.5 point increments, as one of the 2 servers was very pleasant and helpful, but the other server just wasn't as cheerful and inviting. (As to why there were 2 servers I am unsure, maybe one of them was being trained?). And again, I'm hoping that maybe it was just a bad day, and that on a different day this place would be much better.

Stopped in for dinner on Saturday after the air show. The veal piccata with pasta and salad was excellent. My buddy had the he veal parmigiana and said it was very good. Full bar with very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

The food is awesome and is probably the reason this place is still going strong. There was definite service issues that could be addressed. The first issue would be uniforms, at least matching t-shirts would be a wonderful start to a better dining experience. Workers look like civilians, so its difficult to know who to ask for anything. The food timing was bad, food took much much longer than expected. The service timing was equally as bad. The server was not good. She seemed happy but looked lost and confused during the entire ordeal. No introduction, no sense of service, no refills, no help, dropped off bill but never picked it up, food missing, she tried to drop off different food items we didn't order. I could list more things that were lacking but I won't, since I want to save time. If this place could get a few real experienced and dedicated service staff it would probably take off after a couple years. The atmosphere was good, tall ceilings give the feeling of open air, big inside-out doors give plenty of light to the inside. Its a nice little location right near the Cuyahoga River. Came back to watch a little band play, they were decent. The service has improved since last visit. The food is sneaky-good! It really is fresh and delicious once again. Glad we made the trip back to check it out. It was a good Saturday night

Not bad. Ask to go easy on the garlic if you want the Eggplant parm. The food is fairly consistent, comparing between the 5 or 6 times we've been over a few years. Carry out and eat at Brick and Barrel.

It was great. My 4 stars is probably most people's 5. I could imagine better salad and bread. But we had a great meal and our waitress was phenomenal. Yum!

Took a couple minutes for anyone to bother getting off their cell phones to talk to me, even though I was the only customer waiting. Turns out they hadn't bothered to acknowledge the online order I placed, so they hadn't made the food. Probably too busy with their phone call. Of course I've already been charged for the order they never intended to make. So now I have to deal with that. Come on.

Had a great time. The pistachio cheesecake was the best part of my visit. Cleveland pizza week was a success. The barbecue chicken pizza I give a 10/10. The carmen was a 8/10. A little spicy but was very good as well. Will be back very soon💃🏾💃🏾

👍 March 2022: Stopped here for lunch on a comp from the Jack Casino. They gave me $30 that I used to get the Double melt, tots, vanilla shake, and chili to go. Pros: * Clean restaurant with a bar and plenty of TVs on the walls. * Friendly staff who were attentive to my needs. It was not very busy so...
