Nothing short of amazing!! Great hospitality ! Constantly checking on you to make sure all needs were met/exceeded. I came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and they were whipping orders out left and right. Despite having a small staff, they are incredibly efficient. I ordered the Corned Beef Reuben and the Corned beef dog. Both were outstanding! If you’re in Cleveland, this place is a MUST. I’ve already marked it as one of my food places in Apple Maps. I WILL be returning.

Excellent and huge sandwiches. Great latkes. Place is busy busy busy. The front staff is super friendly. It is pricey but you should expect it. You must wait in the line and order before going to a table. Parking is small but sufficient. Probably not a good place for mobility issues.

First time visiting this location we weren't disappointed. Went with roast beef which were tasty and huge. Friendly, helpful and quick service. Timing your arrival is important in this tight location.

This place was excellent when I went. Sandwich was hot and meat was sooo tender. Slymans never seems to disappoint. Bit pricey $22.00 for Sandwich and a can soda, but I’ll pay it again no questions asked. Thanks Slymans I came all the way from Las Vegas to have another sandwich from this place.

Food was delicious, atmosphere is great. Worth the wait for a table. Definitely worth a stop or detour if you’re traveling near Cleveland.

First time here been hearing about this place for so long. The food was really good me and the wife got the Reuben and fried mushrooms. The only down side is I don't know how it's 50 dollars for two people. That quite craziness in the price. Due to that fact we wouldn't be back as that's a little ridiculous for two sandwiches and fried mushrooms.

A wish list stop, finally had the opportunity to go. Arrived about 11:30, had no problem placing orders, finding a seat and shortly served lunch. I HAD to have pastrami on rye with Swiss cheese, Mrs.Turtle had turkey club and fries, both came with pickle, had 2 diet cola's to drink. Meals were as we heard described, HUGH sandwiches and tasty. Pastrami was deeeeelish and Mrs.Turtle thought her turkey sammi was good as well. 1 note of caution. The sandwiches are huge and tasty however, the cost sorta took my breath away. Maybe it's just me but view pictures and you decide. 2 sandwiches, small fry and 2 cokes = $43.00 + gratuity. Can now say "been there, done that". Fixed income doesn't promote eating here often.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Look, I went there 2 days in a row this week and the AMAZING lady that works the register started calling me "Smiley"! She is so kind and she brings such a positive vibe to the deli! Her daughters are AMAZING too! They all work so hard to bring the community amazing food! Heck, Rachel Ray was even there and gave her seal of approval on how delicious the food is! If you have not been there yet, you have got to give it a go! You will not be disappointed! And as you can see in the photos I posted from my 2-day binge, they do not skimp on the corned beef or any other sandwich for that matter! Love you guys!!!

Was in town for a wedding and was told this is a Cleveland institution. 7 of us went and we had a great feed. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches. Very good, hard to eat as one doesn’t know where to take that first bite! We went to park behind restaurant and ate. Would definitely go back.

If you ever go to Cleveland, Slyman’s Deli is a must-stop. You’ll probably notice a line forming to get inside. No worries, things move quickly. I always get the Corned Beef on Rye bread. Wow. Worth every penny. The sandwich, a soda and a side of cheesecake will cost you $25.

This was one of the first dates my significant other and I went on when we first started dating four years ago. We enjoyed this experience so much and this was our first time back since that early date in our relationship. It was just as special as that first time and I am so excited to make this an anniversary tradition. I so highly recommend the Reuben, Turkey Reuben, and the Potato Pancakes. This is such a wonderful gem to have in Cleveland and I recommend it to anyone who loves a good deli sandwich.

He had a corned beef on rye. I had the Reuben, stacked high. I’ve never had corned beef so lean. Melt in your mouth! We ate right outside the front, on the sidewalk. It was a gorgeous day. Thank you Slyman’s!

The absolute best Ruben I have ever inhaled. I made the best Ruben in Oklahoma for years on my food truck " The Healthy Hippo " but this is better due to the corned beef.

Literally, the absolute BEST sandwiches EVER. The pastrami ruben is my favorite. It is out of this world. It's like an out of body experience. You must eat here! The people are so fabulous, too. Every time we come to Cleveland we stop into Slyman's and I can't wait to go back!! Wish there was one in Colorado!

One of my favorite places in all of Ohio, an absolute classic. Corned beef and pastrami are world-class. Exceptional for breakfast or lunch. Huge portions, friendly service, and reasonable. No wonder it has been featured on TV so many times!

I've always heard if how great they were just never had the chance to try them, well that changed today, by far the best Rueben I have ever had I don't see how I could ever eat one from anywhere else, the potato salad was homemade as was the Thousand Island dressing they both were just fantastic.

They are HUSTLIN’ here! Line out the door, the staff didn’t stop moving once! What an incredible experience, all the senses were satisfied. The best corned beef I have ever tasted, the rye bread was also the freshest bread I think I ever had. I can’t wait to come back. Also shout out to the awesome fisher woman haha her pics are all over the wall and I’m so thankful she took a second to take one with me ❤️ thank you, thank you Slymans!

I’ll just say that if this restaurant had one redeeming quality I would put it in here, but I can’t find a single one. When we walk in the door there is a young boy at the host stand and his only greeting is the word “three”. He then grabs menus and walks off so fast to a table we didn’t even see where he went at first. Leaves the menus on the table and is walking back before we even get to the table without so much as a word. Incredibly rude. I ordered the corned beef sandwich, which for all the hype was just ok, kind of dry. Not worth the price, for sure. My wife orders fish and chips, and the fries come out chewy and cold and the fish was cheap frozen stuff. My son ordered a chicken sandwich, as you can tell by the pictures, it came out black. I said something about the chicken, and they said “it’s always like that” they did replace the fries with another batch of gross fries. The waitress was nice and fairly attentive. The place is outrageously overpriced for garbage food. I’ve had their sandwich at the Cleveland location and this is nothing like it.

The size of that corn beef should speak for itself. The service is nice but you will have a wait because so many people want that food lol 😆 😂 😋

My favorite! Family owned and they have the BEST MOST FLAVORFUL CORNED BEEF ON THIS SIDE OF LAKE ERIE! If you’re visiting, stopping here is a must! Due to pandemic take out only available but I’m a loyal customer! In my personal opinion I come to the original spot downtown because it’s the best! They do have taverna around town but this spot beats all the others!

This place has the best Corn Beef I had in years!! It’s no wonder they are so busy. Line was out the door next time I go to Cleveland this will be my lunch spot!

  • 4/5 Jessekia 4 months ago on Google
It was very packed but I suppose for good reason! The line was long but she took the orders quickly and we were out of there just as quick as we came. It reminds me of Cleveland just being in there. That's tables and chairs to your right if you're looking to dine in as well. The only downside is I ordered soup since I'm not eating meat and my crackers were BEYOND stale, other than that I wouldn't mind going back.
