Food was really good. My only wish was that the waitress would have been a little more patient knowing we had never been there. I felt a bit rushed to order and would have appreciated a recommendation. We will definitely go back.

Food was decent but when we left a 20% tip in cash the server returned tip & said she won't accept that & that we can't leave because a larger tip is required as part of the bill (was only 2 of us & this was not mentioned previously) . We didnt argue & gave a larger amount to which she responded " yeah , much better" and walked away.

Pretty authentic Szechuan place. The portions are generous and most of the dishes taste really good. Will recommend if you are just passing town and craving for some spicy Chinese food. Not expensive either.

The best Chinese restaurant in CLE for my money. Great selection of both authentic and American style Chinese food. The prices are reasonable and portions large. The wait staff's first language is not English so communication is a little difficult but they are always friendly. My personal favorite is the Tian Fu chicken, crispy little pieces of fried spicy chicken, delicious!

I've order here a few times, but the last two times it's been over cooked food and flavors I'm clueless about. I order very ordinary things, veggie egg rolls and orange/general tso/ hunan chicken and it's off!!!! I ordered orange chicken today and it taste like soy sauce and chicken😡 I called, and just like many of these food places where English isn't a well spoken language, they tried to act like they didn't understand and it was how it was supposed to be. NO SOLUTION WHAT SO EVER! I won't be going back.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place entirely by accident, and what a happy accident it turned out to be. The menu was a mix of traditional "American" Chinese food and some lesser known dishes. We tried the baby bok choy, a pork belly dish, and the steamed dumplings, and it was the most delicious Chinese meal we've had in downtown Cleveland. The staff was also very friendly.

Was looking for a good place for my lunch takeout. Called them to place the order, they asked me to pick it up within 10 mins. So far so good. I went to the place, it's inside "Asian Plaza" with more than 1 restaurant & store, I tried to find the restaurant but couldn't. At that time I called the restaurant and asked for directions informing I was Infront of "Li Wan" (another restaurant inside the plaza, which was full), the person received the call was pretty rude, at the end off the call she said 'clearly you are at the wrong place, you don't have to come' and hung up on me!!!!!!! This was really insulting, but as I already placed the order I didn't want to be like those people who place an order and never show up. So I asked one of the shop owner/assistant near by for direction and found the restaurant with his help. Inside the restaurant there was no other customer except for a couple. I picked my order and came back, didn't feel like talking to such people who treat their customers badly. Now about the food, I ordered "Chicken with garlic sauce", what I received you can see in the picture. If I was looking for that many vegetable in my dish I would have ordered "Chicken with mixed vegetables". Crab Rangoon was okey, though I had better. Overall the experience ruined my mood and lunch time. I am not going back.

The pandemic years have brought so many changes to our once favorite restaurants. Some, we have loved for years have closed, or may no longer seem appealing as if all the favored chefs have departed and nothing tastes quite the same. It was therefore a welcome treat to stop at Szechuan Cafe for take out. It had been a number of years since I had had any food from this restaurant and I had no idea how much I would like it. I ordered a shrimp egg roll, and Szechuan beef for myself; and shrimp fried rice for my granddaughter. The food was moderately priced. The portions were fair sized. The food was excellent! My Szechuan beef was filled with beef strips and flavorful sauce. My granddaughter loved her rice which had a lot of shrimp in it and was fried well. My trip to Szechuan Cafe was not planned, but I will definitely be back again soon!

I think they took advantage of our 1st hotpot experience. I asked for bok choy 2x and she brought out dry chinese lettuce, the meat wasn't what we requested and they kept staring at us. Ill try this somewhere else but I spent a pretty penny and left a nice tip but the experience was less than.

This spot is great for authentic szechuan cusine. Every time I order from here, I try at least one new thing, and it's always been very good. This isn't your typical American Chinese place, so don't go here expecting the best orange chicken or general tso...this ain't that place. If you're looking for authentic szechuan food, this is the spot to check out! If you want "safe" American Chinese, there are plenty of other places to go.

Hands down some of the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Wow. I thought I was kidnapped by Guy Fieri because we ended up in flavor town. The complex flavors of these seemingly simple dishes was amazing. Egg with tomato...sounds simple but do yourself a favor and order it. The cold lung appetizer sounds off putting but it’s really good. The duck with chili and peppers (7 step duck?) was one of the best duck dishes I’ve ever had. If it’s empty when you show up don’t worry. We were the only table on a Sunday and they still crushed it. They are plenty busy with takeout orders so it’s not like people aren’t back there cooking. Big thanks to my buddy for showing me this place.

Authentic. Great taste. Ate here during a business trip. The food, flavors, and service were all great.

Definitely American-influenced Japanese-esque Chinese food. If that's what you want, then it's great, but I was hoping for something more authentic in the heart of this plaza. A few generally bad points: the entree came before the appetizer, our server said she would box our food and then only did half of it and then asked if we wanted the other half done, and we had to ask for soy sauce for things that ALWAYS come with soy sauce, like sushi and sashimi. The Sashimi Bento I ordered was supposed to come with fresh fruit, soup, rice, and a California roll. There was no soup, no fruit, and fried rice instead of white. I was never told that there would be deletions and alterations to the set, I was just served a box. It isn't bad, and some people may have seen it as an upgrade. However, it is not what I was expecting, not what I paid for, and it is rude to not inform your customers of menu changes.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! We stopped in to have dinner here because the reviews seemed decent but from the moment we walked in I began questioning the validity of the reviews. Very poor customer service, the atmosphere is very outdated and hodgepodge. The meals were all bland and the fried chicken was so crispy it was uneditable. You're better off eating Panda Express at the mall of something than making a trip here.

I love the food here. It is tasty. I got the house special lo mein and loved it. It had a little spice to it (very very very little spice) which added a nice depth of flavor to it that was very unexpected and delicious. I have also had the fried rice and found it equally tasty. This is a great go to if you want some very tasty food.

There are lots of options on the menu. We ordered sesame rice ball w. Rice wine soup and pulled noodle. They are great! The service is good too!

My friend and I happened to stumble into this place when exploring the neighborhood. It was SO good! The staff is very welcoming and friendly and the food is delicious. I will definitely be coming back here!

This was such an unexpected delight! We walked in to an empty restaurant and received the best General Tso's I've ever had. Crispy and glazed to perfection; we split an already reasonably priced meal and had plenty left over. Fried dumplings were also a win. Great, personable service and excellent food. Will definitely be back again.

I have been going here for years; glad that they now allow indoor seating again. My favorite: the ma po tofu. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, and the food is excellent. To my untrained palate, this seems like the real thing; if I ever visit Sichuan, I will have had a foretaste of it here.

👍 March 2022: Stopped here for lunch on a comp from the Jack Casino. They gave me $30 that I used to get the Double melt, tots, vanilla shake, and chili to go. Pros: * Clean restaurant with a bar and plenty of TVs on the walls. * Friendly staff who were attentive to my needs. It was not very busy so...
