The vantage point of Nuevo is prime on the 9th Street Pier. The food and cocktails are great. The menu is so robust, it will take us several visits to get to all the good stuff that made our mouths water. And every so often you can look up and see the Rock Hall or the Cleveland Skyline or Lake Erie and you feel like you're in a super cool spot.

We got there right when they opened so we could watch football. We enjoyed amazing selections of tequila and margaritas. Cameron was our waiter and he made our experience even more fun and relaxing. He could explain the menu to us, tell us how the drinks were made and make recommendations. My husband had the Caesar Salad and I had shrimp tacos. The views in the area only enhance the experience of this restaurant and they offer plenty of outdoor seating! We can’t wait until our next trip to Downtown Cleveland so we can come back!

This place has SUCH a cool location and the staff was so friendly. We stopped in from out of town when going to a Cavs game, and I loved the fact that the restaurant was RIGHT on Lake Erie! If you go, doing the guac trio is an absolute must. They were all so delicious. We got the traditional, habanero jelly, and the one with candied bacon 🤤🤤 The tacos were good, but the ones I got weren't my favorite. A little too out of the box. But the guac was amazing!!

I just love the location of this place! Great views of Lake Erie while eating. Even tho I had a 30 minute wait, our service was great! I'm slightly biased about restaurants that serve good drinks, and the drinks here were also good. The food was amazing! We debated on who's food was better to the point we just shared our meals with each other LOL. If you're in the Cleveland area this place is definitely top 5.

Fun place, good for group events! Fun drinks, decent appetizers (didn't try any of the entrees), really kind and patient staff. Highly recommend exploring some of the cocktails like the Oaxaca Old Fashioned and the Paloma (made with a butterfly pea flower infused tequila that gives it a lovely purple color). Menu is on the pricier end, as you might expect for the trendy, hip-casual vibe. The restaurant has two stories (stairs and elevator available) with outdoor space on both levels for a nice view of the surrounding area. On the ground floor there's plenty of seating inside and outside, and from the patio there's a convenient window to the bar. The upstairs level can be used for a small performance stage and dance floor. Definitely can get noisy when music and a full house of diners are present. Worth visiting with friends!

The only thing I knew about Cleveland I learned from Howard the Duck, the cities internationally known ambassador of culture and all things Cleveland. And since I wanted to have an early dinner by the lake, this spot was a natural choice. The food is great so there really isn't much more I can say there. I could go on about authenticity or how the menu is fascinating mix, but let's be hones, I came to eat, not wrote about what I ate. Try it and if you don't like it, order something else off the menu. And if you still don't like it, we probably wouldn't be friends anyway. Though we are right on Lake E., the view isn't that great. However, the view of the sand volleyball pit and surrounding stadium creates a relaxing atmosphere. (The beams are really good.) And finally, the staff. It is always the staff that makes or breaks a place. The staff are absolutely wonderful. If this is your first time to Cleveland, or you are a local, this spot is worth dropping by.

Good food and great atmosphere! Service is quick. Food is large portions and well prepared. The Korean tacos were delicious and the entire family kids and adults enjoyed it.

The guacamole sampler was incredibly tasty and the view on city side was outstanding. Really enjoyed the brisket tacos. Carafe of margaritas did well for the group. There was an issue with the city messing with the sewer near us and the manager moved us and comped some of our bill. Server named X was personable. Great experience!

We stopped here after our visit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There wasn't a wait to enter and the view was lovely inside. The waiter explained the menu to us since it was our first time visiting. The options are okay. Neither my husband nor I loved what we ordered. We started off with chips, salsa (if you can call it that) and queso. The salsa had a thick, sloppy Joe-like consistency which was kinda weird. For our entrées, I got the Polynesian Pork tacos and he got the Cubano. 🌮 I dunno, the flavors in my meal just didn't tie together like how I had hoped. The rice wasn't that great either. My husband typically loves Cuban sandwiches but he said this one didn't taste like a Cubano and that it was bland. However, he said the bread was fantastic. Overall, it's a shame we paid $70 for bland, basic food. I would have rather we didn't go here and got food elsewhere.

I love the fact that this restaurant is right on Lake Erie. Both the food and the service were good. My older stepson said that the queso dip at Nuevo is his favorite out of any queso dip he has ever had. My favorite item of the meal was the corn grits side dish. Those were soooo good! Creamy, corny goodness!

Details from reservations down to tequila selection are done perfectly. The couple next to us stopping in for just guacamole enjoyed their plate fully. Us for a Full dinner were able to appreciate Kyle‘s suggestions. Kyle selected the correct tequila, and the correct meal to make a night worthwhile. With a bartender as great as Kyle, and a meal as great as we were served 9/10 I would suggest this to anyone looking to warm up on the banks of the Erie

Very good restaurant. Food is amazing, a little overpriced. The margaritas 🍹 did not have enough alcohol in them. The waiters were very nice and prompt. Location is nice with good views

Great food, recommend the brisket or pork tacos. The cheese dip and guacamole is also awesome for a starter. Great location and easy to get to, by the water for good outside atmosphere also. Watched football while we ate on some nice TVs.

beautiful view of the water. nice atmospheric live music. pretty park adjacent to the restaurant as well. the pulled pork tacos with the mango salsa damn near changed my life. a little pricey, but i’m fine with it given the location and the experience. i was there a few days ago, and i strongly recommend this if you are looking for some lavish dining. my only (very minor) complaint was the wait, but i consider that my fault given that i should’ve placed a reservation. expect a 30 min wait if its semi busy and you don’t have a reservation. 200% worth the wait tho!

Absolutely the best meal we have ever had! Jared was such a pleasure and knowledgeable. The entire atmosphere is amazing. The food is better than authentic food from the countries which the recipe is from!! The chef has a great world of flavors colliding, I have never been more impressed with a restaurant I just happened to park near. I certainly will drive the 6 hours to enjoy Nuevo again! Thank you for the experience!!!

This places food is amazing like sooo good but when we got here the plates, cups, and napkins were a little dirty so they need to get a new dishwasher or something, but overall I thought it was pretty good!

Curtis was our fantastic waiter. He was our personal margarita and tequila expert. He also recommended delicious food pairings. What stood out most was his friendly conversation, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Curtis made our dining experience truly enjoyable. The food was absolutely amazing. Recommend the Cubano and the Nuevo Dip tacos (made with 14hr short rib). 10/10

With a prime location like this, the food just needs to be average to stay in business and that's exactly what this restaurant has to offer. Prices are reasonable. Our waitress didn't bring over the nachos that we ordered until right before the main entrees started coming, which is very un-Maxican like. But then again, if all the boxes were checked, getting a seat at dinner time would be a problem. Bottom line: go there for the view, not the food.

Visited here after a day of the Cleveland Airshow with the Blue Angles. It is located on the pier next to a small marina. It was packed but we found a single place at the bar, and eventually two seats. Bar staff was great in keeping up with a massive crowd! Drinks were good and service was nice and prompt. We only had the nachoes and queso, but it was all good. All made in house. Rest of menu and food delivered to nearby patrons looked great!

👍 March 2022: Stopped here for lunch on a comp from the Jack Casino. They gave me $30 that I used to get the Double melt, tots, vanilla shake, and chili to go. Pros: * Clean restaurant with a bar and plenty of TVs on the walls. * Friendly staff who were attentive to my needs. It was not very busy so...
