The food was fine, the staff was nice, but the service was pretty atrocious. There was no one really visible to help seat us when we arrived but ultimately we stopped a waitress walking around and got ourselves a table on the patio. From there it took our waiter about 10 minutes to show up, after we had already sent a member of our party to get our own menus. That was the consistent theme of the night. Just no service anywhere. And the patio was in total disarray. There was a clearly broken chair at our table when we arrived. The wind was blowing napkins and to-go containers on the outside bar all over the patio, and the only people with the interest in cleaning things up and putting a weight on the things getting blown around were other customers. I made a bathroom trip at one point and the staff inside was friendly and helpful, but I also noticed next to the bathroom was another back entrance where I could see my waiter who had been missing the past 15 minutes smoking a cigarette. I've worked in the service industry, I get it that people need breaks, but this wasn't a very busy night and our server was always missing. And having the employee smoke spot in such a conspicuous area I thought was just setting it up for angry customers. When our food did arrive, my friend (who was a former waiter) commented that it was cold and had been obviously been left out waiting to be delivered to customers. Most people thought their food was good otherwise, though I didn't care much for the stuffed veal. Thought it was just way too heavy. Maybe I should have expected that though. When we got in the car my friend's father said that he definitely had enough German food for the foreseeable future, and the mom commented that the next time we'd go somewhere else after such bad service. I don't say this as a threat because I think the "we'll take our business elsewhere" threat kind of empty on these reviews, but know that I'm from out of town, and all my party had been building up excitement for this dinner for a few days, and then pretty much the whole party was fully disappointed in the experience last night. And I say that out of guilt because the staff all seemed like cool people I'd like to hang out with otherwise, but if they were in charge of my business, I'd have some angry conversations with them after that unacceptable (FRIDAY NIGHT!) dinner performance.

Best German food I’ve had in a very long time. Beautiful atmosphere, great vibes, and service like clockwork. My mom and I went to dinner right at the dinner rush and the staff was turning over tables and seating people so efficiently it was impressive to watch. Our server was outstanding as well. I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Do yourself a favor and go eat there!

I will definitely be making this place at least a biweekly visit. Your average bill will cost about $80 for two people depending. However, the food quality is amazing, and your portions are large! I recommend the veer for sure, and the veal. Customer service was stellar, the interior looks cozy. A big shout out for the ladies working in the kitchen and to Myra, our server.

We went to Das Schnitzel Haus for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night as I wanted soft pretzels. They were packed which is a good sign. Parking was a bit tough even though they have a free lot with quite a few spaces. I saw several people park across the street and cross a busy road. Inside was packed with people, and all appeared to be enjoying their food. There were three groups ahead of us. The wait was less than 10 minutes despite the crowd. We were seated at a table next to the bar right outside the kitchen pass. I had a great time watching the servers and small kitchen staff showing amazing hustle. The 3 line cooks in the small front kitchen amazed me with how efficiently they churned out dish after dish. Our waiter was busy but very courteous. We ordered soft pretzels and potato pancakes for appetizers. The pancakes were amazing but could have been slightly crisper. I would probably not order the pretzel again as it was a bit uneven being smaller than I hoped. It and the beer cheese dip were good, but other appetizers are likely better. I had a hefeweizen, 2 actually, and they were very refreshing. We ordered Käse Schnitzel, wurst platte, and Krautwickeln (Stuffed Cabbage). All of the food was spectacular. The chicken was light and crisp, the red cabbage tender, and spatzle tasty. I sampled sausage from my son's plate (he wouldn't share the pierogies as they were that good) and stuffed cabbage from my wife. Everything was tasty the sausages had a nice casing snap. Not a fan of the Hungarian sausage as it was spicier than my tastes, but others may enjoy it. We were too stuffed for dessert. In all with tip, we spent about $120 for 3 meals, 2 appetizers, and drinks, so not bad. I'm already looking forward to coming back.

We went to this restaurant on Friday, September 22nd. Das Schnitzel Haus has such a lovely vibe and our waiter even sounded like he was either Dutch or German. The whole experience in itself was authentic. We did encounter a table nearby of a group of young college students (who were obnoxiously loud) (we ended up asking our waiter if we could relocate to a different table and he honored our request). After we were relocated, the rest of our time at the restaurant was relaxing. The Bavarian pretzel was delightful and I enjoyed it so much! Everything was cooked to perfection, and the drinks (double shot of rum and beers) were delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Stopped by for dinner, very nice cozy restaurant with authentic German food. Parking was tough due to the mountains of snow piled out. Service, food, and prices are very good. Highly recommend the pork crackling appetizer! My spatzle side was slightly undercooked but not inedible.

Great food and great staff! My husband and I were looking for a place to go that was different for our date night and decided on here. And are we glad we did! Immediately upon entering we were greeted and seated and made to feel welcome. Our server was amazing, even though they were pretty busy considering it was a Monday afternoon she didn't miss a beat! Before we even asked for anything it was brought to our table. Napkins, drinks etc. Our food was brought out quickly and efficiently and everything was absolutely delicious. The only thing we didn't care for was the chocolate cake but that was more a taste preference than it being bad at all. Very large portions for the money. Potato pancakes were pleasantly seasoned and fried. The chicken paprikash was delectable, not too spicy and very good spaetzle. My husband got the the Deutsch Platte and was in heaven. The beef roast melted in your mouth. He also enjoyed the veal and sausage that came with it. We also ordered an apple streusel to go and it was to die for. We will definitely be returning to try all the other options they offer. Thank you Das Schnitzel Haus for an amazing experience! I wish I could remember our servers name because she deserves a raise!!

FOOD AND SERVICE EXCELLENT. Our server, i forget his name ( he recently had a baby 4 mos) Was very easy to deal with. We were a family of 7 and hadn't seen each other for 2 and a half years so we were chatting a lot. THE FOOD AND BEER EXCELLENT. Parking was easy too.

Great food and great service. We will definitely come back when we are craving authentic German food. We got dessert to go. I would recommend skipping dessert. The German chocolate cake was dry with bland frosting. My husband said he has had better strudel.

Very good location, excellent selection of German and Eastern European dishes, good portions of delicious food, related brewery across the street ensures unique assortment of great tasting beers served in over-sized chilled glass mugs. Crowded even during off hours with covered outdoor seating available. Parking lot, not surprisingly, can be quite congested. Highly recommend.

Was very busy for lunch but server said they had a group in so had live music also for them. We enjoyed our meal and the environment. Started with pretzel and pierogi's which was very good. Bread served was homemade and delicious. Main course we had schnitzel and bratwurst plate with three different types. Took awhile to get our food but we weren't in a hurry and again unusually busy. Would definitely go back. Some of the best German food we've had.

Food is always spot on at this location. I have eaten here on numerous occasions and it never disappoints! 🥰 I really recommend giving it a try it’s one of my favorite if not my favorite restaurant in the Cleveland area ever since moving here. And I have been to many restaurants not just all over the US but, internationally too. ❤️✨

The food was good, I don't know if I would return for the food but the beer that I tried is definitely worth coming an hour north for. The atmosphere was nice and I really liked the restaurant. Honestly our experience would have been better but the waitresses were all a little off. They weren't busy but for some reason they all seemed busy. I only seen one waitress who was very attentive to her guests. I would like to note though that there were two women running around doing a nice job and seemed like they cared about the place, they may have been managers or owners maybe both. But I liked how those two were acting with the whole establishment

We dined here last night for my birthday, we had a party of six and had a wonderful time! The food was delicious! Service was great and the owner is delightful and made me feel so special! My husband and I dressed in a dirndl and lederhosen for fun and everyone loved it! Definitely recommend the kraut balls, German beer, and cake is a must! 10/10 will dine again!

Great authentic cuisine!! Delicious every time and wonderful friendly service! Update 8/5 - Mother wanted to go here for her birthday dinner because her long time friend was visiting and wanted to go specifically here because they make their cabbage rolls the same way as her mom. At 6 pm one table was open, thankfully for a Friday. Waitress was fairly kind but rushed and appeared distracted. It was very loud inside and we could hardly hear each other speak. After a little while some other waitress showed up with our food, dropped it off and quickly left, which seemed strange as we had yet to receive our bread and salads. Our waitress showed up finally to ask how everything was and we informed her what happened. She blamed the other wait staff and we said yes, we still wanted our salads and bread. I pointed out it was Mom's birthday dinner and felt disappointed as she was barely even acknowledged. The food was still good and Mom says she's willing to go back for lunch, but probably something else would be better for dinner.

What an awesome German restaurant! Run by European family, with hints of Bosnian dishes in the menu, it fell like i was in German town. Great german beers. The service was great. I ate there two days in a row if this can tell you how much i loved it

Very good German food with many options. The Strudel is great, we had to bring it home because we ate too much and didn't want to leave any on the plate.
