This was our first time visiting and it was a great experience. The food was top notch! The drinks were made to perfection albeit a bit on the pricey side. But back to the food….all I can say is wow! Our table ordered the braised short ribs, scallops and pork chop. Each of us claiming to have the best meal, we passed around our plates to share and I cannot say there was a clear winner. They were all fabulous dishes. The service and atmosphere were all top notch as well. Lisa was extremely attentive.

Our first time here. Food is really good. Braised beef cheek was so tender and moist. My first time on elk chop. Cooked to perfection to medium rare. The polenta was so creamy. The steak frite is great too. Finished off with dessert of the day. Very good experience. Next time I come back for the bourbon and whiskey.

Another great place to have in Willoughby! Be prepared for slow service, especially if it's just the bartender taking care of the bar and the tables around the bar (2nd time we've experienced that; maybe it's standard), but the food will make you forget that aggrevation. We had the shrimp & grits and the tomahawk pork chop. Both were as good as we've had anywhere, including down south for the S&G!

Came here on a whim and so glad we did. Food was delicious from the drinks to the dessert!! If the dessert we got was on the menu all the time I would drive the hour just for it!

Absolutely delicious. Great selection of bourbons and whiskeys. Fresh seafood , tender stakes and moist pork chops. I would suggest booking a reservation.

The aromatic smell alone outside of the restaurant tells you what you're in for. The food is delicious! We were seated in the hallway near the bathroom for our reservation so that took away from the overall experience but after getting the first course we decidedly it was worth it. I see why they have that section set up for guests as well, the food is that good. Perfect searing on the seafood and creative accompaniments. The bisque.... oh yum! They accommodated my mocktail request, ginger beer and orange. More and more people want that option, especially in dry January. We will be back, the food is just fantastic. Great bourbon selection for my boyfriend as well.

Great service and atmosphere and that's about all. The porkbelly was overly salted, to the point there was no pork taste. My gf got the halibut, which she likes but the polenta was just ok. The 14 ounce ribeye was cooked perfectly but, once again, overly salted. Not heading back.

Good lord. How rare for a restaurant to hit the mark on all things. Service exceptional. Drinks amazing. Vibe perfect. Food out of this world! Thank you for the crazy good experience.

Awesome place! Great whiskey (boubon/rye/scotch), great food, and great people. One of the chefs and co-owner Chas spent some time with us at the end of the night to talk whiskey and other random things. This will always be my stop whenever I return to Cleveland.

I'd really like to rate this place higher. The food is amazing, and their cocktails are original and tasty, too. However, there is always a wait to be seated, even when you have reservations. The tables are so close together that you end up bumping your chair into another chair from the table behind you. If someone from either table has to use the restroom, it's this whole jenga game of who can move first. The wait-staff never tells you if something on the menu is out of stock (happens frequently) until you order. The food "comes out as it's ready," meaning that at a table of 4, one person can be served their meal 10-20 minutes before everyone else (again, this happens frequently). The kitchen will not make substitutions or replacements, so if you have food allergies I would NOT go here. They also will only cook steak and burgers rare to medium-rare, which isn't a problem for me, but I could see how this might be a problem for someone else. The wait-staff rarely comes to the table, so you've got to flag someone down to get a water or drink refill and for silverware. Each time I've been, I've been served my meal and then had to ask for a fork from someone else. Overall, the establishment seems pretty stuck up and overly confident about their food, which tastes amazing, but it's a lot to put up with - especially when there are so many great restaurants in the Cleveland area.

Let me start out by saying I never would have dreamed I'd get the best shrimp and grits I've ever eaten in Willoughby, OH... But that's exactly what happened. I have a hard and fast shrimp and grits rule. If it's on the menu, I'm getting it. I can't help myself. The shrimps they use are closer to lobsters. They're seriously massive. The red sauce was perfectly applied and obviously the grits were cooked to perfection. Remember, I've eaten this entree in restaurants around the country and this was the best I've ever had. 🤷‍♂️ Ambience = Perfect. The lighting, the decor, the music. Everything was just right. The bourbon selection is as good as you'll find outside of Kentucky. Our server Sarah was friendly, attentive, not overbearing, and just who we needed. Hopefully I get to keep working with the customer based in this area as I'd like to experience all of it again.

Everything we had was another delicious. We split the bone marrow appetizer and loved it. I had the mahi mahi and it was cooked perfectly. My husband has the elk chop medium rare and really enjoyed it. And my cocktails were awesome!! Can't wait to come back!!!

Was looking for a new place to try for dinner with my brother and stumbled across Hook and Hoof online. Never thought I would try one of the best steaks I’ve ever had that night! I got the daily steak special, it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Absolutely amazing food and drinks and a great ambiance as well. All the ingredients are fresh and change regularly depending on what is local and fresh, this is normally the sign of an amazing restaurant. However the service was only okay, make sure to set a reservation before you go as it was reservation only except for the bar. The hostess seemed kinda clueless about whether we could be sat at the bar or not without a reservation, besides this hiccup it was a great experience I would gladly have dinner here again!

My husband and I went for a date night. Our good friends had highly recommend it. They were right! The food was delicious. I got the catch of the day and my husband got the pork chops. We had excellent service. They have an extensive bourbon selection. Our wine choices went perfectly with our meals. We will definitely go back again.

I have been here twice and the food is to die for. Also if you love bourbon this is the place for you. Definitely need to make reservations .

Amazing experience here, the food is so well prepared. If you don't like rare to medium rare steak I wouldn't suggest it. Personally, I usually order my steak at a medium, but the steak here was such a great cut filled with flavor I didn't even care. My 7 year old daughter loved the food here as well and it's usually very hard to get her to eat her protein haha. I can only assume that everything on the menu is amazing because the other menu items we had were great. Definitely a hidden gem that I'm glad we found. Highly reccomend, the service was amazing too.

Great food, awesome cocktails, and excellent service. The smoked Manhattan was a thing of beauty when it came out and tasted amazing. The clams and mussels were excellent too. Order extra bread for dipping. The caramel Sandie was fantastic too. All you could ask for was an outdoor seating area or patio on those beautiful days. Will be going back again.

Amazing place for bourbon lovers and foodies alike. Came here for date night and it was just perfect. Split a few dishes between us and everything was amazing. We also loved the smoked manhattans. Definitely will be returning.
