    It's not typical of me to write a 1 star review but I want to start by saying the manager here is rude & unfriendly. I didn't get her name but she's a tall Afr-American female who hates her job & doesn't want to do what she gets paid for. We had an appointment but were 20 min late due to delay with prior apartment tours; This lady refused to give us a tour or any piece of paper with the lease info that could help us in any way possible. She said to come back another day, but spent 10 minutes talking about how she can't let us tour since we were late, rather than spend 5 minutes showing us the apartment we came to see. She lacks the basic social/communication skills that an average person has. The building owners should re-evaluate their hiring decisions if they'd like to rent/sell. We are definitely not coming back for more info- MAJOR RED FLAG!

To add to the misery, Yessica /Jessica has proven to be an absolute nightmare to deal with. Her rudeness, nastiness, and lack of empathy are truly astonishing, making interactions with her nothing short of a dreaded ordeal. The management's negligence in maintaining the garbage chute is beyond appalling. It's unacceptable that there are only two carts(to bring groceries up and down) for four floors, causing constant inconveniences to the residents. There is a 3rd cart that I will take a pic of that is broken and they don’t care to remove it. I was bringing up stuff the other day a the whole thing fell apart. Another tenant put a note in there about how the lack of caring for the residents is awful. The lack of care in fixing these issues shows a complete disregard for the well-being and comfort of the tenants. And they just sent an email to sign the whole TWO carts in and out when using (the audacity ) I’ve had a run in with Emily in leasing office but that was my fault and she handled the situation so professionally I also called the VP of management Tracy who is good for nothing. He keeps saying to call Yessica/Jessica and she says to call him with problems. Neither knows how to handle anything it’s an absolute joke in here. The building is pretty nice. It’s just unfortunate that this leasing lady and VP are the go to’s. In the beginning for a 2nd spot was an extra 100. Then they told me 150 and I was just told again yesterday by another tenant they charged them 100? Seems weird and like they pick and choose what they want to charge. The pool use to open at 10. Now opens at 11:30. And the majority in the building have complained. Again we are paying for all these amenities and they don’t care for our say in anything. I have emails I’ve sent and they don’t respond back until I email them again telling them that they should respond lol. Dreadful. Overall, this apartment building fails in providing basic amenities and essential services, making it a place that leaves tenants feeling frustrated and disheartened. It's a regrettable experience for anyone seeking a comfortable and hassle-free living environment. I would highly NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. Ps. Notice how the monarch is only responding to the people who give a lot of stars and a good review. They don’t care about you. I have never written a review about anything bc I never have problems. But this place is the worst. Concierge is so nice and professional . They really work hard and always have smiles on their faces

    Do not apply here I applied for this apartment 3 weeks ago and till now they declined me for an unknown letter that was not send from me and “too many discrepancies” mind you know moving from Florida. Could have been applying for apartments much more comfortable but instead gave them the benefit of the doubt since I have spoken to 3 different people. I had been in communication with Ian for 2 weeks in regards to everything that was needed and out of no where Jessica whom I’ve never spoke was not trying to even listen to me. Definitely feel like I was denied the apartment because I was a single mom with two small kids. I don’t think I fit in their profile Extremely unprofessional

    We had reservations about apartment living after life in a house. Especially since quietness was our priority, we did not encounter any surprises. We are also satisfied in terms of security.

    In our endeavor to transition from NY to NJ, my wife and I scoped out numerous communities, yet The Monarch distinctly stood out. While all the places shared similarities in terms of amenities and space, each with its own ups and downs, it was The Monarch that really caught our eye, thanks to our leasing agent Ian. Coming from a sales background myself, I could see Ian was a stellar salesperson, and I mean that as a high compliment. Throughout the tour, he exhibited a perfect blend of professionalism and attentiveness that made us feel truly heard. He always made sure he was facing us while talking, showing that he was really listening to what we were saying. He provided us with great options based on what he picked up from our conversation. His suggestions were so on point that we found ourselves stuck between two fantastic apartments. When we initially settled on one apartment but later fancied another, Ian made the switch hassle-free. He also helped us navigate through pricing and move-in dates, making the transition smoother. We know moving isn’t a walk in the park and there’s bound to be a hiccup or two, which we did encounter. But even then, Ian remained professional and seemed to be doing his best to make things easy for us. We could have settled for any of the communities we visited across NJ and we would've been okay, but it was Ian’s outstanding service at The Monarch that sealed the deal for us. The moving process is indeed a stressful ordeal, and having someone like Ian who’s got his act together really helps in easing the anxiety. Big thanks to Ian!

    Love working here. Building is well kept. Management - Jessica, Morgan and Ian are great at what they do. My team tries their best to meet the residents needs.

    My boyfriend and I moved into our apartment at the Monarch on December 29th 2023 and we already have so many good things to say about our experience. I am someone who reads reviews, and prior to our visit, I had read about 200 reviews about the Monarch, most of which were very good, yet they do not do it justice. I can’t say enough about the professionalism that Myra Acosta, the property assistant manager, has displayed throughout our interactions. She’s been promptly responsive to my calls and emails, making for a very smooth moving experience. Myra definitely went above and beyond in her prompt response and accommodation regarding a parking spot, something my boyfriend and I are very appreciative about. Kamil is also very professional. He provided us with the keys and a quick inspection of our apartment on our first day. He made a note of a blind needing replacing, which I came home to find replaced the next working day. The concierge are always courteous, friendly and helpful They work hard to accommodate. On one occasion where one of my packages was delivered prior to my move-in date, the concierge on site reached out by phone the person who had signed, to help locate the package. We are extremely happy in our short time of living at the Monarch. The property, and especially the staff, by far have exceeded our expectations.

    It’s a very expensive place to live. The highway is very noisy through the cheap windows the company has installed. They use cheap vinyl for kitchen and bathroom cabinets and they will charge you fees that are unfair and unlawful. I had a friend who needed a lawyer to fight them on a charge that was preposterous. I do not recommend this location.

    In my opinion, I would give them a zero rating. The management team displays unprofessionalism and lacks the essential qualities needed for engaging in a friendly conversation with prospective tenants. Their discourteous conduct, poor communication abilities, and general incompetence made my experience a complete ordeal. Without a doubt, the community itself is attractive, but due to the unprofessional management, it's losing its customers. Also, the background verification is performed by the management itself and they charge $100 per tenant, with no clue about the documents they are reviewing. At the end, they reject the application. I strongly recommend anyone contemplating renting an apartment in this community to reconsider and investigate alternative options with a more professional and customer-oriented management team. Spare yourself the stress and disappointment; you deserve a better experience than this.

    About to make three years at The Monarch and I love it ! The staff is amazing ! I always go to Yessica Heredia when I have any questions and she’s been so helpful. Having a new born is a challenge so having all the amenities the monarch offers is amazing ✨ I love all the activities set up for the tenants... It’s a great community and I’m glad to be a part of it 🤗

    I don’t know how they have 4 stars. Even me putting 1 star is a lot. We lived there for 20 months and I regret. Very bad management the elevators 9/10 don’t work. Also, it’s a ripoff when you want to leave, they will find very small details that can be fixed and will take your security deposit. Everything is limited to use by us , and we weren’t allowed to bring guests to the pool or the lounge or even to sit with your guests in the terrace. However, if the neighbors were loud they can’t do anything for you. The washer machine and dryer always had a problem. It’s very hard for your guests to come visit you they have to go through the gate and get a pass and go to the other building to get to your building if the elevator wasn’t working. I won’t recommend it at all save your money for something better and no headache

    Living at the Monarch the last 8 years has been such a great experience for the kids and I. The staff has changed over the years, some better than others, however right now they have the best team! They make sure the residents have a lot of community building events, which is great. Ronnie at the front desk is the very best! Always super helpful!
