Great decor and atmosphere. The food was delicious and so well season. I went in with a group of 9 and we spent almost 400. The prices seem average and the quality of food was great. We all enjoyed our drinks, top notch.This is my new favorite mexican restaurant. But I had 1 issue,the service;our waitress was in la la land and took about almost 30 minutes to get our order, I don't remember her name.

One of the best Cocktails offered and you can choose and customize it too. Great lively ambience. One of the best Mexican Vegetarian tried in so long. They add veggies whole heartedly which is very rare to find. The staff is super courteous and very detailed. Thank you for making our Supermoms dinner night out memorable. We tried Nachos, Fajitas, Enchiladas and Tacos - VEGETARIAN. Our favorites were Nachos and Enchiladas!

Great experience and ambiance. The food tasted delicious the drink was strong and the staff were attentive and friendly. Only suggestion I would make is that they should check on the bathroom often, it was a bit messy and in need of toilet paper

You come here for the ambiance and how well decorated this place is. Not for the quality of the food or drinks. Ordered a piña colada, and the drink was very well portrayed as served in a pineapple, but the pineapple was cut in such a small cup that you would only get half a portion of what you normally would get. ALSO, be warned. Shots are $20 EACH. And they will try to trick you into over getting your table shots for everyone. Okay to go once, or if you have family over and would like to show them a flashy place. Definitely not a repeat restaurant for me.

This restaurant is a great time. Every thing is Authentic Mexican decor . The drinks are fabulous. The food is fantastic. All the food was cooked to perfection. The flavors are out of this world great. We will definitely go there again. Recommend this restaurant. Loved it. 💖

We had a great time and while we waited going to the cool Fortaleza Shop was amazing and cool. We had to buy something before we we called to our table. But then I wasn’t ready each time someone’s birthday was announced and depending on the area you are in I felt like I was a theme park/festival and museum at the same time. The food and drinks were amazing definitely going back especially for a birthday 🎉

I do not recommend this place for a large party, sloppy staff! I was there last week for a family dinner & a server spilled grease from a sizzling fajita skillet on my brother. I am aware accidents can happen but we had children & elderly at the table. The damage from the hot oils could have been irreparable had it happened to another guest. More can be done to train the staff. I have been to Fortaleza a couple of times & you obviously go for the ambiance. For the guests it’s super lively (mobile shot bar, drums, loud music) but for the servers I’m 100% sure it’s overwhelming. Food items/orders were forgotten, which doesn’t compare to the injury. It’s been a week & he has scaring. BEWARE.

My experience was very different this time. I was in a party of 14. They don't take reservations, its first come first serve, but we did call and let them know we were coming by. So waiting time was a bit since not our entire party was together. The outside is beautiful, as you head inside; mind blowing! The food, amazing! Drinks I found to be just right. And we also got to see amazing art instalations in the restaurant. Would i recommend this restaurant, hell yes! Its amazing especially to celebrate an occasion, have fun, have drinks. This is the place. Is it family oriented, kind of. But because there are many lights, and its kind of dark in there the children that were there were not enjoying it unlike the teens and adults in my group.

This is our favorite "LA Fortaleza" location! The food, staff, decor, entertainment and cocktails are exceptional! If you can't decide, the top- tier staff will recommend something perfect! The entertainment is fantastic. Every celebration here is special!

Everything here was amazing. One of the employees Lili Ortega was so friendly and welcoming. She was the sweetest. The food was so good and for such great pricing. We had my sisters birthday dinner here and it was definitely a great first time here.

The food was great. My drink was great also. The service was just ok. I asked for my cocktail and a glass of water. I never got my water. Our server brought our food out, and we did not see them for a very long time. We had to flag them down to get to go boxes and the check. It is a very loud atmosphere. It seems like it is a very fun place to go and have dinner. I would definitely go again.

Celebrated my Birthday dinner here with My Best Friends and we had such a good time. Music, Food, Drinks and Service were great! The food is definitely huge huge portions so either you come there hungry or make sure you share a plate. We all didn't finish our food so we took the rest home. The price is decent/normal for what it is nowadays. Will def be back when were in the mood for Mexican cuisine! Parking is valet or street parking.

I love how everything is so colorful at this place. Drinks are my favorite here. I just always get only Spanish speaking waitresses, I have nothing wrong about it, I just speak 0 Spanish and I had my order wrong couple times at this place. Parking is here only wallet or you have to try your luck with street parking.

I went with my friend on a Monday night, and I realized I definitely prefer the night atmosphere at this location! The food was delicious and authentic. There was a mariachi singing and engaging his audience. I have never seen a place with various decorations! There is so much attention to little details and the theme of the place. You can learn a bit of Mexican culture at this place. My friend enjoyed reading the hilarious drinking jokes on the walls! When it was time for someone to celebrate their birthday, the whole staff was lively and everyone at the restaurant commented how much they felt involved with the short celebration. This is definitely a gem in NJ. I will keep visiting here as many times as I can.

I was in the mood for Mexican and ordered from this restaurant. I called in my order of the fish tacos on flour tortillas. When I arrived I parked in their private lot. I walked in and the lady took my payment and gave me my food. When I dug in the tacos were good. It definitely filled me up. I had a good experience.

Excellent Food! Great atmosphere and interiors but our server was very slow. We were 7people and our server took order just from 2 people and went saying he will be right back. We thought he will come back and take the orders from other people but he didn’t. We got 2 dishes and called our server to take others orders as well he said That he forgot. I am rating this restaurant based on the food taste only.

The decor In this place is definitely Instagram worthy. Super fun and glow in the dark. The food in this place was alright. I had the enchiladas. It’s definitely a popular adult birthday spot. Lots of drinks and shots if your into that.

First time here, glad I came. The atmosphere is nostalgic, as least it is for any millennial who grew up watching Telemundo or Univision. The restaurant has floor to ceiling murals, at least a dozen portraits of Frida Kahlo, and even more portraits & cut outs of Chespirito. The menu was limited but the food was good. I got the chicken chimichangas, good flavor and portion size.

We came here for lunch. Really great environment and entertaining. Great prices for lunch. Food was good and the sangria was amazing. Service was lacking a little not enough staff but it’s lunch so I understood. I would definitely go back and recommend it.

LA Fortaleza was a pleasant surprise! We stumbled on this place driving by. Authentic Mexican cuisine. We had the nachos for an appetizer, I had the chicken and shrimp fajits. My girlfriend had the salmon and vegetables. Excellent food. We had several Grande margaritas. The atmosphere was great, the music was great as well. Service was excellent! Prices are reasonable. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

I came here on a date with my boyfriend and had a really nice time. The live music, margaritas, food and service was top-notch. They even make coconut margaritas, which I've learned can be sometimes very hard to find but my god, they're my absolute favorite! And the artwork in this place was so cool to look at and enjoy. As a side note, I wouldn't take someone here that you don't feel certain of. They go table to table selling roses, and offering photos for purchase, which is nice when you want to capture the moment but not ideal if you're not really into the person that you're with. I'm lucky that my boyfriend said yes to both 😇 I took one star off because I asked for no lettuce on my enchiladas but it came with lettuce anyway. One more thing: the enmoladas and guacamole were absolutely delicious!

This was like a hispanic fever dream on stepping in. The resturant is COVERED in hispanic themed everything and it was just amazing to take it all in. The food was amazing and the service was top notch too. We came for a birthday and their celebration was great! I highly recommend this place for the atmosphere, service and food... so basically everything. Sadly, I was too enveloped by the surrounding I didn't take pictures of the food itself.
