Great concept and execution with passionate and friendly staff. Became familiar through a drink promo they were doing and eventually gave the miso mushroom w/ sourdough a try. Coming from someone who’s never been a mushroom guy, I can confirm another reviewer’s suggestion that these are a bit life-changing. Definitely an S-rank combination of flavours - a little bit more of the bread would make it perfect. All-in-all a great addition to Fossgate’s independent scene with its own unique initiative.

Best breakfast ever! Even my carnivorous sourdough hating family was happy with the vegan food. We had mushroom, beans, French toast, and pancakes. All awesome. Turbo charge (cold pressed carrot/ginger/turmeric juice) to die for.

Brilliant little cafe. Our welcome was really friendly and the dude (knew what he was talking about when it came to different milks etc. The food, NO WORDS to describe how GOOD it was! We both had the Miso Mushrooms, so you should go for it!! Also try the little bun on the counter and tge flapjack- YUM! What a great little find!

If you want to eat in the most sustainable restaurant in York, look no further than Remedy in Fossgate. Super host Sebastian made our superb meal all the more fabulous with his infectious energy and wonderful manner. We'll certainly be back.

We went here on a Tuesday to try and escape the chaos of the Christmas Markets and it was incredible. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. The idea of the cafe is to use local and inseason produce. The end product is some of the best food I have this year. Defiently will be back and will be recommending it to anyone I know going to York. Be careful not to fall in love with a menu item as next time, it might not be there................

The most incredible food and service. The staff are so friendly! Sebastian is a wonderful host, you are met with smiles, warmth and all the dad jokes from the get go. Ste and Chris are magicians in the kitchen, everything I’ve eaten here has been absolutely delicious. If you ever want to educate yourself on all things pro planet and vegan - Chris has a wealth of knowledge and passion on the subject. You can see this love and care for what they create here in every dish, every coffee, and every conversation! You will leave this place feeling good inside and out! Choosing to spend your time and money here not only saves the planet but it can Remedy any grey clouds above your head. Xx

best cafe in york!!! not only is the food and drink amazing, the guys who work here are blooming lovely!! if you’re looking for amazing plant based food, served with a smile, and that’s amazing for the planet… this is the place to come! the whole cafe is super sustainable and eco friendly which in this world is much needed! it’s nice to pop out for a guilt free coffee, knowing remedy has got it covered! an absolute go to and couldn’t recommend it more 🤩🤩

We had an amazing lunch, all vegan and all really tasty. We managed to get in a little before noon on a Saturday, which was lucky as it quickly filled up soon after. The staff were the most enthusiastic I've ever come across, and described all the dishes to us which was helpful. We both really enjoyed what we had and will definitely be going back to try out the other dishes on the menu.

Impressively tasty yet incredibly healthy food, we also enjoyed the revitalising coffee and juices. Our overall experience was outstanding the Remedy team have certainly Created something special! Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely delicious vegan cafe. Standard milk is sprout milk which was lovely, but they have oat milk too. Would happily go back when next in York. The staff were really friendly too

Had a Lovely breakfast, great coffee. Not vegan myself, I could really appreciate the effort put in to make tasty takes on non-vegan foods like the French Toast. The service was really warm and friendly.

I had the most amazing meal at this cafe! It was fresh and seasonal and simply cooked to perfection. Friendly staff and atmosphere top it off. Far better ambience and value that the overrated place across the street. Choose this cafe and change your life rather than queuing in the cold for junk.

I really hope this place survives it really deserves it! It’s authentic. Wonderful juices, soup and snacks, and secretly all vegan. Just what Leeds needs, we have so much trendy processed rubbish here.

Fab little find on a busy Saturday in York. Friendly staff great on recommendations when asked. Deliciously tasty and good looking food. Already recommended it to others.

Great little plant based cafe, we had coffee and juice with some cakes, all of which were delicious! Will always support plant based eateries, so will be back.

Such a cute coffee shop and completely plant based!!:) They even have the absolutely amazing creme cheese by Julienne Bruno on their menu, which is soo delicious! We were really sad we had lunch already because the food looked so great! The people working there were super kind too! Sad we can’t go back as we will leave York tomorrow :(

Fantastic vegan find in York City Center! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, it’s the perfect place to pop in for a coffee and brunch. Such a lovely ambience inside and there are so many delicious choices you have to keep going back!

Amazing little coffee shop down fossgate in york. It is cosy, welcoming and there is a good selection of very tasty plant based dishes with lovely coffee and cakes as well! Im sure Remedy will have queues out the door on a regular basis and I will be certain to visit again! (Sadly forgot to take a photo but I had the Lemony chickpea curry and it was 👌👌👌)

Lovely place. We had the chickpea scramble, french toast, and chai latte. All amazing but the french toast blew our minds! That apple and cinnamon is to die for. Service was so friendly and personal. Highly recommend 💚

Great latte, cappuccino, and herbal tea! Entire menu is plant based. The pancakes and french toast were spectacular. So much flavor. The photo doesn’t do it justice. Get here!

Really nice spot for coffee and food. It's all plant based so no guilt factor when ordering! We had a couple of the rye bread options and they were excellent. Friendly vibes from the staff. Highly recommend.
