Brilliant day out when the weather was grim. We took our 3 year old and 1 year old. I wasn't sure if the 3 year old would be too young but he loved it. We spent a good 3 hours there and could happily have stayed longer. I suspect my wife and I may have enjoyed the exhibits more than the kids which is always a bonus too. Good value for money, but bring lunch as there isn't too much on offer for snacks etc. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, we will definitely be back.

The staff are lovely and so inclusive with different ages. The different stations with activities was fun 😊

Was expecting lazer guns and blues v reds but quickly realised it was a science experience not lazerquest. Really enjoyed my visit though interesting for the kids who loved it. Big thanks to Vaughan who was extremely helpful and informative

Visited today to be very disappointed Alot of the stations were missing parts or being fixed. Adults have to pay the same as a child over the age of 5. So 7.50 + 3 to walk around for half hour till my son was bored and tried everything Wouldn't recommend to anyone

Lots of interactive stuff for kids and a live theatre talk. More suited for 6 plus I think on a normal day. They do special days for toddlers and mums with babies though.

Quiet a good day out but most things were are bit old for our son (3 years old) he did have fun building things and the staff were very friendly and interacted well with the kids. Only got 3 stars as a lot of the games etc have not been changed in years, although they are very well maintained, it would be nice to see a range of new activities. We really enjoyed the show.

The perfect place for curious children, my son absolutely loves the science centre we have been taking him since he was 2 and every time we go he discovers something new or a different way to interact with the displays, last year we had his 3rd birthday party at xplore and the whole team made it absolutely perfect and took all of the stress out of a childrens party! Our group was ranging from babies to 10 year olds and everyone (adults included) raved about the centre afterwards they all interacted with the displays and experiments in different ways, i would highly recommend them for a childrens party.

Great fun for all the family, spent well over 4 hours there with a 7 yr old and 5 yr old. Easy to access, park, good toilets and cafe etc picnic area and lockers. Great science show, lots of short experiments to keep the attention of younger children.

Lots of fun activities for kids. A good science presentation also.

It was good for the kids. The displays are interesting and the talk you get as part of the price was better than some others I've seen. Price was reasonable at £7.50 for anyone over 4 years old. There could be a case to say more cleaning of the activities, but there's plenty of sanitising stations around to use

Wasn't great me and my friend we are both 14 went there today as I'm a big science nerd 15 pound for the both of us would never go again. There wasn't anything real sciency. I went when it was called technoquest was nice but I was younger, now I wouldn't go it's gotten bad. May reccomend it for little kids up to 7 not good for older people,

Visited last week with 5 kids for the price I won't be returning kids got bored within 30 mins staff that where floating around didn't interact just got left to it. Have heard mixed reviews but wanted to take the kids somewhere different and to try it out but sadly not for us £7 each a ticket for half hour of enjoyment ....

Had loads of fun taking our two year old on one of their 'toddler days'. Amused for hours with the play area and the storytime session. Lovely little cafe too.

Great experience for children and the family. Lots of different interactive science experiments to help understand how the world works. There was a great dinosaur event too. Really good value for money and the staff were great.

Visited Xplore in Wrexham today as we are on holiday in North Wales and the weather wasn't the best. Price was good £26 for 5 of us 2 adults, 1x17yr, 1x13y and a 16 month old. My middle teen was a bit unexcited about going but once there a good time was had by all, even the baby. Would definatly recommend we spent a good 2 hours here today.

Really good morning out even as a group of 4 adults. Definitely catered more to children but we still had a great time. We watched the science show too about space.

  • 5/5 Susie T. 2 years ago on Google
Great place for children ! Lots of interactive things to do which link into every day life. Fantastic for learning and for little minds which are like sponges ! The science show was good fun with experiments for everyone to see things in action. A great day out and well worth visiting.

Absolutely loved our day out here, our 2 year old was in her element at the toddler day. Wonderful service from the staff too and so friendly. We'll certainly be back very soon!

We loved it, my children are almost 2 and 3 and they enjoyed all the activities. Myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed it. We bought annual passes so we will be regular visitors. Staff were lovely and helpful. Can't wait to go again 🙂

A great place to take your children for a few hours. Best for age 5-14 in my view. My 6yr old twins enjoyed over 4 hours in there. A surprising number of activities in a relatively small space.

  • 5/5 Angela L. 4 years ago on Google
Fantastic day out. The space show was brilliant, especially the rockets! Plenty to keep children and adults entertained all day.

Truly spectacular and special place. Our girl is only 1 1/2 but she loved every second. We'll definitely go when she's bigger and able to reach the tables independently. Get yourselves here!

So was at Xplore Science Discovery Centre today having an amazing time with Rosie she was playing with everything proper exploring and very fascinated with all there activity tables and experiments they had for all kids to do. There was one activity table Rosie was a bit to small to see so she pulled herself up so she could see what I was doing with it when all of a sudden a male employee marched over to her starts shouting at her that much she backed away from him scared telling her to not climb onto the equipment which she was not climbing on she just pulled herself up so she could see, if I thought she was climbing I would of told her to get down like I do if she is doing wrong which she wasn’t doing anything wrong and then carry’s on shouting at her saying it’s already broken and then pointed out the smallest sticker (which I didn’t even see) stating it was broken like my 5 year old child could read. If the equipment is broken and they didn’t want people using it why is it not taped up or why not inform the adults what’s broken and what’s not broken before they go in so we know what they can and can’t use. My daughter then got very upset and wanted to leave and as did I as I don’t appreciate anyone marching up and shouting in my daughters face especially a stranger and especially a man. I was stood right next to her why not pull me aside and say can you ask your child to not pull herself up on the activity table and I would have told her to get down instead of shouting at my 5 year old little girl and scaring her it’s safe to say I Will definitely not be taking her back here.

Took our 7 Yr old boy and our 13 Yr old daughter came under protest too. The place was clean and lots to do for younger children. It was classed as busy when we were there however we had plenty of time to look at everything and didn't feel rushed at all. I would highly recommend for younger children, a good starting place to learn about science, my 7 Yr old really enjoyed it Would take him again.

Excellent sensory arrangement of toys, and experiences, great stimulation and staff. When we arrived the staff were friendly and receptive, and upon entering the value was apparant immediately. Plenty to do and see! Would definitely revisit!! 100% He loved it!

Absolutely blown away by how incredible this place is. Children really can learn at their own pace. There is such variety in each of the hands on activities. I loved how things weren’t over explained too- children can do the discovery then look for the reasons. As parents/ carers, you can bring in as much or as little science as you feel is appropriate. Emma did the bubbles theatre demo and she was brilliant. Full of energy, getting everyone involved, and her explanations were pitched just right. She had an answer for everything she was asked. The children I brought (7m & 10f) were still on a high tonight telling their mum & dad what they got up to today and how much they loved it. Overall an amazing experience

Took a 7 and 3 year old. They had a great 4 hours trying all the interactive displays and games. Then watched the winter wonderland chemistry show. Both loved the liquid nitrogen experiments, really cool! Good cafe and well priced gift shop.

Thank you to everyone working at Xplore! yesterday who helped to make my grandson's Space birthday party a very special one. The look on the children's faces as they counted down and launched their rockets they had made was wonderful. I would highly recommend Xplore for a birthday party, or even for just a visit. Loads of interactive exhibits which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

I usually go to Techniquest Glyndwr on their toddler days (second Monday of each month). We always have a great time there and my 3yo daughter loves the story/craft/science sessions that are themed differently each month. The staff are always super friendly and helpful and I enjoy trying to solve all of their puzzles. The only extra thing I would like to see is a proper cafe, there is a picnic area at the moment, but a proper coffee and cake for thirsty parents would be excellent. Hopefully they will add something to their new premises when they move this year.

Exceptionally disappointed with this place, thought it would be brilliant for all the kids but there is very limited stuff there for them. Not much time spent there at all, personally for us it wasnt worth the journey sadly.

Initially wasn't sure if there was going to be enough to keep my kids engaged for too long but we ended up being there for 4 hours! The science show was brilliant (my 64 year old dad said he'd learnt a lot!) and while some of the activities were a bit dated, there was loads to keep them going! Definitely worth a visit and will come back if in the area.
