Many years ago I visited here and wasn't very impressed, but decided to try here again, to see if it had improved, was pleasantly surprised to see that it had improved immensely. Speed at which the food came out was fast, the customer service was amazing and super helpful, the food itself was well portioned and super tasty. The sushi was super tasty, extremely well priced, especially compared to other mediocre and over priced locations. Definitely need to visit again

The food was DELICIOUS!!! the Bento Box was HUGE! Our eyes were definitely bigger than our belly. The staff were really nice and we had a wonderful experience here. We will definitely have to return! We ordered: Miso soup, Edamame beans, Aomori King Prawn Dragon signature roll, Chicken Katsu roll and Waka's Chicken Bento Box⭐

Back again, menu has changed but food is still delicious. We cleaned our bowls of ramen which comes with three choices of broth. I preferred the tonkotsu while my partner liked the soy. The ramen comes with soy egg too. The chicken karaage starter is authentic. Good value, and 10% off if pay by cash. Really packed so service tad slow but still good and attentive. Only flaw is the toilet which was shared with a nightclub above. Been here a few times, never disappoints. Can't go wrong with the ramen, sashimi, sushi. Sashimi slices are bigger, thicker than other typical Japanese restaurants too. good service as well. Luv that they show those Hong Kong foodie shows on TV.

Amazing food and good value for money. We last visited a few years back and there has definitely been an improvement. Not too busy with minimal waiting Saturday lunchtime. Really generous portions for the price and very tasty.

Great ramen fair price . Hot and sour udon is not recommended as it is not spicy and sour as its name. Others are yummy.

I only started ordering from here fairly recently in the last few months but love the ramen and sushi here. Just better quality than many other sushi places in my opinion. Bigger portions, more flavour, better appearance, the soya sauce isn't too salty, the wasabi actually has some spice to it instead of being too pasty. There's lots of things I haven't tried yet as I always end up wanting what I had before. But really good. Only criticism is they take ages with the delivery which can be quite annoying when you are ordering for other people not just yourself.

Booked in advance been told by the manager that they are doing "eat out to help out". Om arrival been told they were not giving the discount as yet??? I dislike leaving 1 star reviews but I feel like I need to share this as I feel this restaurant is disingenuous for the food they offer at their price. This is a sashimi box we ordered, it’s similar to one you can buy at a major supermarket. Except this box costs £29. Obviously if this was served to me at a restaurant at that price I could decline but I could not as this was received after a takeout delivery. To anyone reading this, If you feel this is worth £29 then maybe this restaurant is for you, unfortunately not for me.

This spot offers great service and yummy meals. One of my favourite restaurants around town. The food and drinks arrived fast and the rates are economical. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Ordered a sushi platter via Deliveroo. The image used to advertise the sushi platter was incorrect, didn't come with as many items as advertised. The image used portrayed the platter as including several more expensive pieces of sushi, but was instead filled to the brim with Salmon Avacado Rolls. Surprise surprise they had replaced the more premium items with cheaper ones. Rang the restaurant who defended this by stating that since the items in the platter were listed below the picture, it was perfectly okay to lie. The person also said "A lot of places do this". Glad to know it's okay to misrepresent your product to customers as long as lots of places do it! I can't even begin to imagine the mental gymnastics it takes to respond to "I don't think it's cool to misrepresent your product" by saying "I think you're just being petty" to a customer. The person at the restaurant was not only not helpful, but was incredibly rude, obnoxious and hung up on me. I'd be surprised but judging by their reviews on Google this isn't out character. Refused to offer a partial refund or deliver the missing items, so I went to Deliveroo and got a complete refund. Funny how a little customer service would have cost them a few pounds, if that, but instead they now take a complete loss on the order. Karma.

The food was excellent! The music was calming and the atmosphere was positive. The workers were super friendly and the food arrived quickly. I like a restaurant where the workers have personality and they had it! I’ll definitely go again!

Boyfriend ordered for my birthday as a special treat. Order arrived but was missing our chicken gyozas. We called to let them know and they said they put it in the bag. I said that it’s not here and we have proof with images. They told us to email the manager so they can check CCTV. We have done so, but pretty horrific customer service blaming the customer for an item you haven’t given us? It is not okay to treat your customers this way and also how disappointing especially on my birthday? Are you now just going to pocket that £5.50 and hope nobody will notice? We have no issues with taking further action and also, it’s pretty awful you would talk to us as if we have lied. Anyone reading this, I’d just go to another sushi places as nice as it looks they just don’t even offer you want you want and the food has come like it’s been thrown in the box. I loved this restaurant! It was nicely decorated with a good atmosphere, the food was amazing and fresh, quite cheap and good service. I couldn’t recommend this more. I really enjoyed it and will be returning!

Been twice the last month and the food is really good, it's served fast and it's warm and fresh. The restaurant isn't usually that busy which is nice and the staff are very friendly. One of if not the best pan-Asian restaurants in Leeds for value and freshness. Really enjoyed it and will be going again.

Visited a few times and enjoyed a lot the food. Really good entries, especially the octopus balls (takoyaki). About the sushi, I have always ordered maki and similar as I feel the nigiri is slightly overpriced. However, this maki and similar rolls are amazing! Amazing taste and fantastic for the prize. Usually spend about 25-35 per person. The personnel is polite and most of the time really attentive (last time a bit sleepy but nice). Recommended if you want sushi around Leeds!

The best place for sushi in Leeds. Clean tables, tasty food and the prices was reasonable. I recommend the Japanese wine- deep plum note, bearly met at sushi restaurants.

Ordered two items and one didn’t turn up. Rang the restaurant and was told there were two bags delivered. I confirmed not, they allegedly rang the driver, he said he delivered two bags (he did not) and the restaurant then accused me of lying. Most bizarre. Had the tofu curry which was 80% rice and generally unpleasant. Won’t be going back, suggest you give it a big swerve too. PS only posting because I read this also happened to some one else recently.

Sushi Waka is an amazing place to try some great Japanese cuisine. Everything is freshly made and amazing thing is that it arrives a lot quicker than you expect. Sushi is lovely, always tastes fresh with a variety options to choose from, there's something for every sushi lover. My favourite though is the beef ramen which I simply think is to die for. Perfect combination of flavours, great broth, it's all pure heaven. So if you like Japanese food, you're around, don't go anywhere else, spare yourself the disappointment and go to Sushi Waka instead.

This spot is worth a try. They have big portions for convenient prices. Always clean and with fantastic vibes. Would recommend to others.

We just ordered sushi to collect. Unfortunately, this was inedible. The Tuna Sashimi was grey - this looked and tasted off - as if it has been defrosted and not fresh at all. Same for the spicy tuna roll. The roll was not spicy, the tuna, tasteless and the seaweed, chewy and inedible. The Gyoza were also cold and soggy. We tried to call to discuss for over an hour but they were constantly engaged. This was supposed to be our valentines dinner but I am sorry to say we were hugely disappointed and will not be dining here again.

I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is delicious and the stuff is very friendly and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we enjoy a pleasant time. highly recommended.

Went for a lunch date, it was amazing. The food is so fresh so filling!! The customer service was great. The waitresses were professional and lovely! Usually Japanese places are very overpriced but the prices were even great definitely worth what you’re paying for. Would definitely go again!

Absolutely outrageous service. We spent £50 and waited 2.5 hours for delivery. Never again. They took the phone off the hook so we couldn't even call them. Disgusting customer service.

Wonderful sushi

If you are wondering whether to get this as takeout, I recommend it! The sushi was really nice and the katsu curry too. The staff followed my request for no wasabi which was great as I am intolerant to it, so even if it was just next to a sushi and very slightly got on it I can't eat that one any more so I was glad they really read the request and did not put any in the sushi box. You can get 30% off on their app too! I recommend a delivery tracker for the app, but if not possible then a closer time estimate would be good, it said 60 minutes but arrived in 30 which is great but it would be handy to know how long it may take.

There was only 3 tables occupied, but service and food preparation took ages, in the end staff messed up receipt 3 times. In the end just gave me cash back for overcharging.

Really affordable, wonderful presentation and delicious food and the waiting staff were super accommodating to us. They also did the Eat Out to Help Out scheme which was a blessing. 🙏
