Breda Murphys never fails to impress us. We love the food there! The staff are amazing too. Absolutely delicious and really good portion sizes. Very very reasonable prices for such fantastic food. Always a great night there. We must try the Sunday lunch next, looks amazing too. Also, Great 👍🏽 comfortable seating, and this goes a long way for our old bones. A definite winner in our book. One of the best restaurants in the Ribble valley by far! If you haven’t tried it yet you really should, you won’t be disappointed .

We arrived much earlier than our reservation time but were seated immediately. Service was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble - and the food was delicious. The portions were incredibly generous, so we couldn't manage a pud - fortunately, we grabbed some orange cake to take home for later. We've just polished it off with a cuppa & it was amazing. Our first visit - certainly won't be our last. We're also looking forward to home delivery! Thank you all.

Unexpected treat as my husband decided to take us out to lunch. What a little gem this place is, tucked away in a corner just by the railway bridge. Fabulous food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. The Sunday lunch menu seemed expensive, £28 for 2 courses. However, you get what you pay for. The starter and main course were both delicious well presented and perfectly cooked. The meal was one of the most delicious meals I have eaten out in a long time.

It was one of the tastiest Sunday lunches I've ever had in a restaurant, even in london. It was a very generous portion with so many different veg dishes, but most importantly they were all cooked perfectly which is hard to find with roast dinners in restaurants. And the lamb and beef were so tender and cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself has a very homely feel and the owner is lovely. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Lancashire, but in the mean time the hampers look like a great Christmas option.

We hadn't booked. Staff made us welcome and found a table. Clean and modern, warm and friendly. The food was amazing!! Our party of 4 ordered steak, duck, kedgeree and pork. Best quality and very tasty. Our plates were cleaned. We had room for more and we ordered bread and butter pudding and rice pudding. Highly recommended. Great wine list too. A hidden gem.

This is my 1st visit to the new shop / deli, so could be on its way to 5 stars for me. I had visited the restaurant which Breda previously had, this would also have attracted 4 or 5 stars from me. New place is small but fabulous. Currently take away only. Ready meals quite a small but adequate selection, Artisan breads, cakes, coffee etc., more does not always mean better! Definitely worth a visit and too much for me to say, so I would suggest a visit to the web site and the shop. My review is based on the quality not the quantity.

Absolutely wonderful shop, staff and food. The best place to go in Whalley if you want some really good quality food to buy. I would certainly recommend the fish pie!

Went for Sunday lunch. Food excellent but shocked at the price. £20 for fish pie or roast chicken and £11 for a glass of wine seems over the top. I don't mind paying for good food but I don't like to be ripped off. Won't be going back to pay these extortionate prices.

A huge thank you to Breda and the team for making my ‘big’ birthday celebrations extra special. Excellent food and wine, outstanding service and such a lovely venue. Nothing was too much trouble and all my particular requirements were catered for. Every one of my guests thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend Breda Murphy’s if you’re planning a special event.

Food and Service very good and very reasonably priced. Wine list a bit limited but overall a great dining experience. Can't wait for our next visit. Dining room was a bit cold but we have had a week of sub zero temperatures.

Thanks Breda and Guy! we visited a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and had a delightful meal and a lovely time. The sea bass salad was particularly nice - (pictured) see you soon for brunch.

Lucky enough to call past after being out for a walk and they had availability on Saturday afternoon. All I can say is, it was delicious! Will definitely be back, but will book ahead this time to ensure we get a table. Definitely worth a visit, highly recommend!

A very enjoyable 3 course evening meal. We were recommended Breda's by a regular, and I have to say we were not disappointed. We will be back without hesitation.

I’ve just been for the first time for lunch and it was the molten brown discount event also from start to end we weren’t disappointed. Upon arrival we called into the pantry and bought some food to takeaway but as we were dining first we left it with the lovely gentleman serving we then purchased some molten brown toiletries then sat down to a beautiful lunch. Everything from staff to food and service was beautiful we couldn’t fault it we’ll definitely be back

Nice food especially the Irish cake, the cheeses, the roast potatoes and delicious steak...the puddings are yummy also!

Excellent food and service.

Shared the takeaway Thai Green Chicken curry with my husband last night. Both ate in silence. Eventually I said to my husband “this is probably one of the worst meals I have ever had”. He looked up and replied “it’s awful, the chicken is tough, the potato is hard and the ‘sauce’ is a joke - it’s watery and disgusting”. We cook - a lot - and eat out a lot - and know good food- and this is really not good. We bought a couple of the ready meals because we were in the area and our extractor fan has broken, our kitchen is newly decorated and so are avoiding cooking. There is a also Beef Bourguignon in the freezer - I have a feeling it will stay there for a while.

Excellent food and excellent service. If you appreciate fine dining visiting here is a must.
