Great service, great food, great staff Decent sized car park. It's just before the pub on the left. Gets busy so best book We went on a Sunday, good choice. Kids menu is just smaller portions of adult meals. Half price. So good choice for kids Thoroughly enjoyed

A beautiful pub with lively friendly staff (one was singing a little to some songs playing lol). The food was top notch. My stepdaughter and I had goats cheese lollipops with beetroot to start and beef brisket with onion gravy baguette and a side salad for our lunch. There were a few guest ales on tap too. I have to reiterate the staff were fabulous. The food, even for a lunch was exceptional, soft beef, gorgeous gravy with plenty of onions. The toilets were spotless, with plenty of tables and 3 seating areas. Well worth a visit.

Brown Cow is Excellent. The food is very good for the money 💰 a good friendly place to eat. And the landlord Dave is a nice Bloke to get on with. They have proper Chips not those frozen fluffy things. So get there, you won't be disappointed.

Food was delicious! The service was phenomenal. They came outside the reaturaunt to tell us they made space. We got the lemon mess and bread pudding for desert and they were phenomenal! Would absolutely recommend coming here. Wish I lived closer to eat here more frequently.the last item pictured is an onion dish with a mango chutney, absolutely delicious! Would recommend for sure

Amazing food. Lovely place too. The black pudding and home made steak pudding were to die for. Also had sweet potato fries for those who cannot digest white carbs.

Sunday early evening. Table for two pre booked. I can't add any more superlatives to the reviews already here. Always excellent, fresh food, beautifully presented by courteous and knowledgeable staff. A good choice of meals to suit most clients and a roaring log fire. Plus, you may come here starving, but don't go home hungry. Highly recommended. Many thanks for an excellent evening.

We celebrated my mums 80th Birthday meal here on the 3rd September! There was 35 of us and we were given the dinning room from 12 till 4pm. The meals we ordered inadvance! The food was amazing as was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble! We were lucky to be able to sit outside due to the nice weather! A massive thankyou to all the staff. Definitely will return! I also recommend their Cheese and onion Pie! 🥰🥰🥰

Excellent food and dog friendly. My wife had a cajun pie which was absolutely gorgeous. I had Chicken Kiev which was very nice although would have to recommend the pie.

Booked in boxing day and brought Mum & Dad, second visit in as many months. We all thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic food and service here, especially the lamb Henry & lemon meringue mess. Called Sunday lunchtime a month or so ago, not been here for at least twenty years. The onion and cider soup was delicious. The roast beef dinner was very good, but the star of the show was the lamb Henry, probably the best that I have had for many years. The portion sizes are fantastic, (I have rather a hearty appetite). The service was exemplary.

Been there twice recently. Fish pie was fab. Steak pudding was even better. Service was excellent on both occasions. Simply fantastic pub grub

From the Staff to the food and drinks ,I can't fault it here -had the sticky chipolatas to start ( at least 16 -see photo) then the steak pudding ! Staff lovely -there when you want them otherwise your left alone . Drinks very reasonable-love atmosphere inside the dining room -clean and tidy . Food was hot and plentiful-plates were red hot which I like. Saturday lunch was busy but not silly-plenty of room still available. How can you not recommend here ?? Try it you won't be disappointed.

I have just moved to the area and I am very pleased to be close to such a lovely pub! The staff were fantastic and the venue is very cosy- creating a brilliant atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and we will definitely be back and recommend it to others (especially the white chocolate brownie)

Lovely pub. We went for dinner on our last night stay in Chatburn. They allow dogs in the bar area which allowed us to take our dog along. The staff were really friendly and helpful! The food was really nice and tasty. If you are in the area I would recommend a visit but do phone and book a table as the pub does get really busy.

Such a lovely, calm setting. The pub is clean and comfortable. Staff are amazing and naturally happy to be at work. Food was absolutely gorgeous, generous helpings and plenty of it. Cannot fault this place for food or drink. Don't ever change what you do 👍🏻

What an excellent pub in a lovely location. Obviously very well run with friendly and efficient staff. A lovely ambience both inside and outside in the large beer garden. I had a beef and onion gravy baguette which was gorgeous with a side of homemade onion rings that were perfectly seasoned. Everything on the menu looked appetising. Had a lovely time, we will be back.

A really nice welcoming pub with a quality restaurant. A group booking for six people. All ordered starters, mains & pudding. All the meals were hot, well presented & of a really good quality. The service from all the team was great & they looked after the party. A recommendation from a friend, we will be back.

While scrolling though the local restaurant on Google Maps we found this place. Chose it for its name and location to where we had been staying. My goodness wasn’t it brilliant! 10/10 recommend the food and service.

Four of us traveled 34 miles to lunch at the Brown Cow, our first visit & we felt it was well worth it. We found the choice of food on the menu was very good, & the quality great. The staff were brilliant, especially the lady who recommended the Cheese & Onion Pie, telling us it was her favourite (she was right, it was excellent)!!! We all thought it was good value & will return soon.

Had soup of the day, Broccoli & Stilton, Delicious. The main courses gave varied choices, but I opted for the Hot Roast Beef & onion baguette. The beef was lovely and tender, served with gravy on the baguette, which also Came with a delicious side salad. I had never been before & even though it was busy staff were pleasant and friendly, and no request was too much. I was told by my daughter who was in the party I was with that you have to book beforehand, as no walk inside are accepted, which doesn't surprise me. Anyone thinking of going, don't just think about it, do it.
