Ok , but too far away from parking and probably better to visit in summer and take a picnic

We tried to get the trail but had a few misadventures. 1 - don't follow Google maps, go to Bailey. 2 - no parking near the trail. Carpark is in town, walk through town then a 3/4 mile walk on a private road We didn't make it as we had a very tired toddler. I'm sure it was lovely had we got there!

The road to the trail starts in the village of Barley and goes via a private road that's used by the water company. Its about 5 mins walk.from the car park to this road. Barley itself is gorgeous regardless so worth a visit on its own..car park is a APR camera one so u pay on way out. £1.50 to £3 tops. The road isn't steep but it's up hill for a mile or so. Past a reservoir and some nice views of Pendle Hill. It's not an easy walk for those not into walking. As where the trail starts its uphill again this time very steep on loose stones. It was at this point my 12yr old son gave up. Hes SEN so we had to turn round. My younger one went on with his mum but they tell me half the sculptures are missing anyway. And the rest is again all sloped. Nothing wrong with that but some reviews present it as a leisurely walk for all the family. It's not. It's medium difficulty and uphill all the way. If you're with a buggy or wheelchair or have issues walking you won't manage. The views were great but I never got to the trail. More interesting was being near the reputed site of Malkin Tower where the witches coven were accused of meeting. The wider area and other things to explore are more worthwhile than this prefabricated path. Shame because it looked great originally.

Once we found as not signposted very well was enjoyable. Some of the sculptures looked like they needed a little attention and was a few muddy patches around Some sculptures easy to do as we carried twin babies in slings. Car park very reasonable and the cabin cafe is first class and great value.

It's a good place to have a stroll. When we went out was a bit wet and foggy. I'm sure it would be nicer to have fine when you didn't drink into the ground even so, it was an interesting place to go.

Some great sculptures when you reach the forest where they are situated . Quite a way from the carpark in Barley walking past both the reservoirs and when you reach the forest entrance there is quite a steep hill to climb to get to the trail but once up there it is a nice walk with interesting sculptures.

A very interesting place with sculptures within the forest. You can pick up a guide leaflet from the cafe at Barley where you can also park. There is approximately a half hour walk from there with one steep climb up to the forest, well worth a visit and I highly recommend this for a day out for all the family.

Not great sculptures are in a heavy state of disrepair dissapointing when you travel 65 miles to see them . Saving grace the pendle inn is great for food and a pint and nice little park and picnic area opposite for the kids to stretch their legs

Phew, bit of a steep haul up from the reservoirs and on a hot day there was virtually no shade on the approach up. Apart from the first wooden rubikky type sculpture by the gate, there aren't any more until you get to the top of the hill - I was starting to wonder where all the sculptures were. There isn't any map and the sculptures aren't numbered. There are lots of paths to meander along, but when you've already walked up Pendle Hill the same day, it's a bit disgruntling to have to keep backtracking around amongst the trees to try and locate the sculptures. It is more fun to happen across them but I ended up missing the unicorn, the bats and the large metal cut out figures one. There is a bench with a triangle on up on the right hand side, so when you reach this you don't have that much further to go. I love sculptures and forest trails so it was still worth going and seeing them. And thank you to the lady for the mint humbug! Hope you saw the ones you wanted. When you get to the sculptures, they are amongst the trees so that part is cool and shady but just be prepared for a bit of a hot huff n puff to get to them. Pleasant past the two reservoirs too but you can't access them. The road up past them is long, straight, exposed and unforgiving in the heat.

Great place. Beautiful surrounding country side and it's free

Been here a fair few times and after every time it saddens me as the sculptures are not maintained in any capacity. Therefore they have rotted away to a point whereby you cannot call it a sculpture trail in my opinion anymore. That being said it's a nice little walk but it needs investing in new sculptures.

A lovely walk with some brilliant and evocative sculptures. Stopped off at Barley Chapel for a mooch around their amazing craft fair, a cup of tea and a slice of home made Victoria sponge! Great day out!

Some interesting sculptures and a good puzzle to complete on the walk around. Missed the Boggart sculpture unfortunately, I think one or two others as well, and never found the last riddle. Quite a few of the sculptures are a little off the path and not signposted. Views are a little mediocre. There is no parking nearby, and the initial hill up to the loop is steep, so be wary of visiting with little ones or ppl with mobility trouble. Probably only worth three stars, but it's nice that it's there and would be a shame if it closed.

Not bad but not outstanding. A few show pieces in resin and a few bits that are just bits of wood stuck together. Any decent sculpture garden that has pieces for sale usually has better work. But it's a nice walk through the plantation.

The walk is an amazing experience but the cafe was not my favourite

Long walk in and the hill up is long and steep. Ok if you're fit and healthy. The sculptures were really nice. All had information about them. Kids loved it.

It was a nice walk with the dog. Nothing special. But the view of pendle hill was nice

Great walk. You must be fit though as there are steep bits to get there.

Unfortunately due to Covid19 the trail was closed. We did manage to walk up to Black Moss reservoirs and got some beautiful photographs looking towards Pendle Hill. Hoping to return when it's open and hopefully leave a better review.
