Lovely place to visit doing everything it can to keep us safe, selling beer and food as well. A good afternoon watching the cricket.

First time I've ever visited the bowling club and it is absolutely immaculate. Lovely green, beautiful flowers, plenty of seats and extremely friendly people. The only downside was the road to the car park which had potholes as big as craters. I'll probably park in the town centre and walk round next time. 😁

I played bowls at the green towards the back of the sports club so cant tell you about how good the tennis courts or any other facilities were. We visited one evening in early April for a bowls league match and ended up finishing playing in the dark. The green was in good condition though a strip in front of the seating area was fenced off as ground under repair. Our hosts were very friendly and offered us cups of tea from the green container that doubled as a kitchen come clubhouse. I lost my match after doing well initially taking my opponent long. She couldn't reach but then I clumsily bowled the jack into the ditch gave up the block and lost to 12!

Very busy when cricket practising and junior foot ball training a,ong with crown green bowling. The road needs to be looked at.

Nice bowling green friendly opposition even better when the team won

Great facilities with tennis, football, cricket and bowls. Really nice people and a good local community.

Handy for the train station, picturesque setting.Good selection of Bowland beers at reasonable prices.Take you're own food on match days, only snacks in the bar.
