Best pub in Whalley. Beer and ale always good and a lovely beer garden out back.

What a great traditional pub in the centre of Whalley. It looks deceptively small from outside but inside it opens up to numerous rooms with seating, a pool room and a lovely beer garden at the back. My first visit yesterday, don't know how I've missed it but I can highly recommend it. Lovely lady behind the bar, great choice of draught beers, and good home cooked pub food at very reasonable prices. Accessibility. It might be possible to take a wheelchair in but inside there is plenty of room and only one are reached by a step. However, parking nearby is very limited.

Good for the jukebox and live music. Suits the 40s to 60s more. Plenty real ales and different lagers. I didn't have food

Lovely gin selection! Only had a couple of drinks there so cannot comment on food.

Unusually, for these times, busy pub. Had a delightful Ham sandwich with lovely crispy chips. However it was a long wait, probably as they were so busy, but why not take on more staff? Staff were most pleasent though despite being run off their feet.

This is the perfect example of what a combination of good management and good ale realises. Warm friendly atmosphere the best of a quintessential English Hostelry that I will head for next time I am in the area. Chapeu!!.

A great pub nestled in the heart of Whalley serving a wide range of drinks and even food if you go at lunchtime... I recommend the cheese and onion pie! There is always a welcoming atmosphere when you enter and the staff are really friendly. There is a pool table near the toilets which makes got a great game! The pub is dog friendly so if you have allergies I would recommend taking some antihistamines. There is an outdoor area which is partially undercover which is great in the summer.

Decent pub, but quite average considering the prices. Bar service could be faster. When I visited there seemed to be a bizarre rule whereby the jukebox couldn't be used before 2:30.

Proper pub. Friendly with a great choice of drinks. Not for wine bar lovers!

Visited for lunch after 6.5 mile walk in the area on Wednesday 7th Dec. Sat with our pints of excellent local Stout with a hint of liquorice to peruse the menu and I chose the Braised Steak daily special and I have to say it was spot on! Took a little time to get our meals, but it was a very busy lunch time and the staff were great and attentive. Whalley is a lovely place to visit and has lots of history and places to explore. The Dog Inn is a great local village Inn and a welcoming place to call in for drinks and food and I heartily reccomended it!

Best pub for Cask Ales in the village. My husband loves to try the different ones they get in every week. They regularly have live singers and music on too which is a bonus (but midweek we like to make use of the jukebox).

Easily the best of the three remaining pubs on the crossroads. Very friendly pub with great real ale and traditional cozy feel. Well worth a visit.

I think the best thing about this pub was the friendly welcome we got from the lass working behind the bar. We were served with two excellent pints of Guinness followed by a delicious hot bowl of onion soup with croutons and melted cheese served with some warm crusty bread and butter. Yum. There was some tasty coffee too only £1:50 a cup. If you're going to Whalley for reasonably priced good food and a well pulled pint go here.

Just stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly atmosphere. My dog was made 100% welcome and the food was gorgeous. The batter on the fish was so light and crispy. Really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend.
