Good home cooked food, disabled access and dog friendly. Outside area to enjoy the beautiful views of the hills. Good sized car park and pleasant walking nearby. Service prompt and friendly, clean toilets.

Everything about our visit here was great. We were fit in for a table of six for lunch on mother's day and what a brilliant choice it was. The staff were amazing, very accommodating and extremely nice. The food was brilliantly presented, tasted absolutely great and was brought out in a timely manner. The food was a little pricey but definitely worth it. I would dine here again in a heartbeat.

Dropped on for a couple of pints (4) for a few hours. It's a beautiful pub with fantastic staff. 1 issue I did have, and this is personal, the barman kept calling me "sir." I know it's probably his role and he's been told too, but I'm not one for that. If you're in the locale, give it a try ! Oh, and the food looks phenomenal!

Great pub to stop for a pint and lunch after the walk up and down Pendle Hill. Plenty of outside tables for when the weather is good too. A pretty good range of options for food and all good quality when it arrived. also friendly and helpful staff. Would come back here if in the area again.

Went for some beef sandwiches. I didn't like the food but it was still edible. The salad on the side was nicer than the sandwich which was a little dry, not enough sautรฉed onions, and a large amount of fatty bits from the beef. Very nice location and atmosphere however.

Nice little village pub. Dog friendly and great food menu. Catered for gluten free with a few decent options and the staff were friendly

I was taking a group of ladies and gents out for lunch in a minibus. Once we'd finally arrived, as the road was closed and hadn't been notified. The welcome was warm and the service was spot on. The food took a while, but with 10 meals to arrive together, we understood. Once it arrived, we all tucked in, it was lovely. The only minus point to the visit were the toilets, not very accessible to anyone with a walking aid, worse for a wheelchair. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating where needed.

Great staff and decent selection of beers and ales for all. Great for after the Pendle Hill walk and even a doggy section with free dog biscuits and water bowls. Prices very reasonable and great outside roadside seating.

We stayed here overnight whilst attending the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival. The accommodation was very clean and cosy with everything catered for at a very reasonable price. The evening meal in the pub was fabulous! Great quality food at good prices even catering for our 3 dogs with plenty of treats and water to hand. Would highly recommend eating here ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ‘Œ The staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly and we will definitely be returning ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ‘

Absolutely excellent bar staff, so helpful, they really went above and beyond. We broke down half way up the hill with no phone signal, Sam & Lee helped immensely, let us use the phone & even gave us a lift back to our vehicle at the end of the night. We got home eventually (1.45 am) thanks so much, Mandy & Michelle

Stayed with my girlfriend for a couple of nights at the end of July. The rooms are cute, and the loft bedroom was comfortable and clean. The self catering facilities are basic but enough, didn't really use them to eat, just brought snack because when you have a pub in your front garden that serves amazing food why would you want to cook make your own ๐Ÿคฃ. The pub was beautiful and the staff were friendly and happy to help. We ate there on both nights, and the menu was good, specials too. Fish and chips, the fish was huge, and the Pendle Inn pies are to die for, so I would recommend eating there. The location was perfect for us, and we managed to dodge the showers, climb Pendle Hill, and visit the sculpture trail, too. It would have been nice for the pub to include breakfast in the deal, but it wasn't available or an option as they don't serve it for whatever reason. Breakfast is available at the other pub in the village or at the car park/ picnic site cafe. The village is lovely and I would totally recommend a stay here ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปthanks for having us.

Such a cute pub! Drinks were reasonably priced and they had a good selection to choose from. Seating inside and outside was kept clean and glass free. Toilets were super clean and well stocked. The staff made a big fuss of the dogs too and even brought them biscuits each. The blankets available were also a lovely touch incase people were cold. Fab location, right by the pendle hill walk. Lovely ๐Ÿฅฐ

The best place in the area and the best food I've had in a long time. I had a few questions to pass on to the kitchen, they answered everything very well and sounded very knowledgeable. The decorations were excellent. So much effort went in for Halloween made the visit all the more special Would come again.

Great pub with excellent atmosphere, roaring fire on a wet day. Food was filling and tasty, spooky Halloween decor to match the mood of Pendle, but the pubs biggest asset is it's staff who were fantastic! Good to see bar staff who are helpful, welcoming and obviously proud of their work ๐Ÿ‘

A beautiful period public house located in the scenic area of Barley. Warm and friendly service, good food at mid-high service prices; that said ingredients are fresh and of good quality. A very pleasant retreat for luncheon with friends or a drink. Also, dog friendly! Good value on the childrenโ€™s menu, too.

Lovely meal today. The Pendle pie was lovely, tender peices of meat & nicely cooked vegetables. My husband had fish & chips, which were nicely cooked with not too much batter. Staff were attentive & helpful. Will definitely be returning

Really glad we stumbled across this place for lunch and a few drinks in the sun. The menu had a great selection and the food was lovely. The pub is set in a beautiful location and it was a lovely way to spend a few hours. The highlight was the very professional, friendly, attentive and generally outstanding service from the two young male waiters and the assistant manager. They are a credit to the venue and really enhanced the experience. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Stopped in for a late lunch....As always they were busy both inside and out. We had a nice meal and a much needed drink before heading home Sited in the historic Barley village beneath the renowned Pendle Hill right in the heart of Witch country. On site parking for patrons would be nice as there is very limited parking on the narrow roads. On the upside there is a large public car park with reasonable rates two minutes walk down the road

It was rather cold in the conservatory area so some of us sat with our coats on, a lot of the menu was not available. The food was OK but rather expensive for what it was and the staff kept missing drinks and food off where we had to ask. It wasn't bad overall but not the best either.

Was busy, but staff were very friendly and made time for us, allowing us to sit in for a drink. Was clean, cosy, welcoming, and the bar was stocked with a good variety of drinks. Very much enjoyed our short visit.

I dined here for the second time on Sunday, and it always makes the climb up Pendle Hill worthwhile! Best roast turkey Iโ€™ve ever had, dog friendly and a great choice of drinks.

Stopped off here mid walk. Food was great, not cheap but reasonable given portion size and quality. Good selection of beer. Looking forward to returning

Popped in for a simple quick drink and bar nibbles. Very pleasant & relaxing atmosphere. All the staff very friendly and polite. Salted nachos, Tempura prawns, hand cut chips & halloumi fries all very well cooked & presented.

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. The food was superb, and they fitted me in last minute, despite not booking first. Overall, a great experience.

Nice, not an old building. It was built in the 1930 s. Liked the snug. There's real fire's but didn't see them lit as it is summer. Nice place.

Met friends for lunch, our first visit. The staff were lovely & the food good but our lunch was spoiled by a table of 20+ people who were very noisy. We probably should've asked to be moved. Perhaps staff might think of not using tables near a large group if at all possible.
