Very pleasant tour around the local and welcoming Market, nice variety of products, I.e. groceries, kitchenware, fresh food, fruits, vegetables, you name it. Definitely an fabulous place to visit, to spend a good amount of time to look around, explore for necessities and desirable resources for daily lifestyle. Would recommend family and friends to look for themselves, enjoy the search, filled with joy and excitement here at Bolton Market!!!

A lot of different grocery items at one place. Parking is expensive 😣 fish market side a bit unbearable due smells. A huge fruit and vegetables variety not sure all fresh. I feel little panic inside crazy crowded.

Boss thinks Bolton Market is better than Bury market The micro bar is great and the Cameroon food stall serves super food. Excellent fish, meat and veg.

It was just over 10yrs ago, the last time I went to Bolton Market. I remember when it was a big fish market and my Grandfather used to bring me here as a kid in the 70's for fresh fish. I used to drive up there with a friend about once a week and he loves the fish and black pudding while I used to get rabbit and fresh duck eggs but I moved house and that just stopped. It's changed over the years but most of the old market halls are still there and the outdoor markets and general layout are still there but the bus station has changed and there are new supermarkets and chain stores now. It's still a good size and a busy shopping centre and the people are still friendly enough and I enjoyed the visit.

Large market with lots of small stalls selling fresh sea food, meat, vegetables and many more. Very reasonable prices around the Greater Manchester area. Must visit place to grab variety of sea foods if you’re in this region. There is a small Sri Lankan stall as well selling Sri Lankan products 😇

The veggies and fish are not cheap. Most of them are more expensive than the supermarkets. However, you are able to buy the rare types of fruits, vegetables and fishes.

Variety of food and fruits to buy. If you like fresh seafood, you can buy king prawns and scallops and squid. A nice place to shop around for vegan or meat lovers.

A very neat market. I was able to get most of the Caribbean and African food stuff I was looking for. If you are looking for where to buy fresh meat, chicken (both hard and soft), fresh fish and sea food visit Bolton market.

If you happen to be in Bolton, this is a must-visit destination. The market offers a diverse array of national cuisines, complemented by a fascinating history behind the Bolton Market. Everything is conveniently located under one roof, providing a delightful experience at an affordable price. From a wide selection of foods to cooking products, clothing, and various household goods, it's a delightful one-stop shopping experience.

Nice place but the restaurant people need more customers as there is no houses round in there. The bus stop which was before the new one must be converted to houses which will make the restaurant inside the market have decent sales. The fish market onside very nice and decent prices.

A great market but not the variety of stalls it once had. Many stalls seemed to be closed but maybe that was because it was Friday and some may not open all days. I do hope they have not permanently closed, that would be tragic. Had great food and coffee from 'bake n butty' and bought some quality meat from Walshs butchers. Great customer service at both. Not much product from local sources but I suppose you would need to go to a farmers market for that. Really convenient now as you can park (pay and display) right outside. Please support you local markets.

A good traditional market. There's a great cafe there for people watching. Stores are good with the odd scruffy exception. Loads of fresh fruit and veg and meats. The fish market bit is great

Lovely clean well managed indoor Market. Masses of choice from multi cultural stalls with friendly and helpful traders. Cashpoint and customer toilets within building.

  • 5/5 Chris S. 2 years ago on Google
Good variety of veg, fish and meats. Good to see more unusual cuts of meat like chicken gizzards or pigs ears that you won't find in the supermarkets 👍 Plenty of Asian spices. Select carefully and can be a cost effective supplementary shop.

Great market for veg and fish. Cheese stall is also excellent. We don't tend to buy meat. We have had a coupe of fatty steaks. But the fish is always good. Loads of veg to choose from.

Great market, with fresh products. You can find almost everything you will need at much lower prices than the super market.

Wow thoroughly enjoyed 😄 the experience of so many different foods and fish stalls. Different vegetables and fruits from around the world. Also the people from all cultures and backgrounds shopping. Best experience for reminding me of my childhood in East Africa. Forgot to get pictures 😳

Marvellous range of vegetables, fruit (see the bitter melon before), meat, fish, and spices. Rice in bulk. All the fresh produce looks so much better than you'd get in a supermarket.

One of the biggest Market in the North West. Wide range of seafood, meat and other vegetables. Very reasonable prices. Worth a visit. There is something for everyone. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful market with ample of different stalls. The only downside is the parking - it is incredibly difficult to get a spot. However, there are plenty of other local car parks in the area - I often find it easier to park away from the market and have a 5 minute walk.

Another amazing but rainy day out in Bolton. The Market was fun to walk around with all the different types of stalls

  • 5/5 Diana I. 4 months ago on Google
Good variety of products. Can find pretty much everything you would need. Would recommend going early in the morning for the best meat/fish/vegetables. Have to pay for parking There's also quite a good food court in the middle with a pub.

Love Bolton market. One of the few remaining traditional markets that is still thriving. Lots of lovely fresh produce to buy and a plethora of exotic fruits. There's also the meat and fish market to visit. Worth a visit.

Great choice of veg, fruit, meats and seafood. I go at least twice a month. They have a great choice of seasonal veggies which are always extremely fresh! Amazing choice of korean mushrooms as well which always blows my mind. I would recommend it without a doubt

A good market that needs supporting especially after bus route was changed so footfall is less than before. Some good stalls and also a eating area with fresh daily homemade food being served. Very good fruit, veg, meat and fish market. Worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Martin C. 1 year ago on Google
One of the best and biggest market in Greater Manchester area. The seafood stalls are really great with plenty of fresh choices, with a very reasonable price compared with supermarket. The butchers and fruit stalls are also great, with huge variety of choice.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bolton Market, enjoyed its bustling atmosphere and the incredible array of products on offer. The selection is diverse and caters to all tastes and preferences, making it a one-stop destination for all your shopping needs. The friendly and helpful nature of the market's staff and vendors also left a lasting impression on me. They are passionate about what they do and go the extra mile to assist shoppers, offering advice, recommendations, and answering any queries with a smile. In conclusion, Bolton Market is a gem that should not be missed.

Although it's a good market. I found some of the workers (Harry grundy's) especially at the fruit and veg stalls to be very ignorant and rude. Customer service goes along way. I'll be taking my business else where within the market

  • 5/5 Janet W. 3 years ago on Google
Love Bolton market! There are some real characters running the stalls, and they always have a smile or cheery comment. You can stock up on fruit, veg, eggs, fish and meat and get a takeaway lunch or dinner. Recommend big Al's African food - goat curry and dumplings is my fave dish! 😀
