Menu is a bit misleading and also poor quality for the price. It cost me 45 RON for 450 grams of "sausages", but about 300 grams of the dish was comprised of French fries, and 150 grams were 4 pieces of mediocre sausages. Very poor price/quality ratio. Not a good example of Romanian cuisine.

Delicious food. Not particularly fast service but we didn’t experience that anywhere in cluj. A nice homely feeling and lots of delicious meat. We were sad the soup had sold out but we booked quite late. We got the royal feast and it was huge but very delicious.

Whether you are looking for traditional Maramures dishes or just for a delicious and consistent meal, the place you are looking for is here, in spite of the misleading "closed" sign hanging on the door that may be seen even during the open hours. (I still don't know what is happening.) Prices range from inexpensive meals served from 12 o'clock during weekdays to special food that would take hours to be prepared for groups up to 30 people (reservation only). Mostly, the place is crowded and requires a reservation made up to a couple hours in advance to assure you get your seat. I highly recommend you anything in the menu, but my favourite dish is the bean soup in bread. You might, as well, get a full belly from eating only the soup, don't bother ordering endless food, usually the "all you can eat" thing would cost less than 50 RON. Prices are reasonable, I can't complain the place is expensive. You get the most out of everything. I doubt you could get anything as tasty and consistent for the same price anywhere else. Moreover, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, the music is traditional and the waiters' suits too. I consider it is a unforgettable place for tourists and a good place for people passing by to have a pleasurable experience.

It was terrible. I have been many times to Romania, and if there is one good thing about Romania it is the food. However, it is an insult to Romania that this restaurant calls themselves traditional. First the waitress came to me and asked what I wanted to order. Er, I don't know, do you have a menu maybe? I ordered Scărița boiereasca. (Prince Ribs). It looked like it came from the microwave. The salad on the plate was a joke. The potatoes were cold and the ribs where terrible. There was almost no meat, only some bones, and cartilage. When I made a complaint to a waitress, she said OK and walked away. So? Then another waitress came, again I made the complaint. "It is not my fault, sorry" Ok, what now? I can give you a discount... She did not even think about bringing me some good ribs. So much for the Romanian hospitality... Not at this place. Terrible place, don't go there.

The service was very kind and the food very tasty. The potatoes and the pickles, were excellent. Something so simple that I really appreciate when done well. Exactly what I would expect from a Traditional Romanian restaurant. 👌🏻

We did enjoy our experience in here, was a pleasant visit with great food and outstanding service. Any time we ate back in town we stop by as the portions are generous and good is always great!! A go to if you want traditional food...

VERY. GENEROUS. WINE. POURS. If that isn't enough to convince you to come here, I don't know what is. With that being said, the food is great. Like the wine, the portions are generous. You won't leave hungry. Great, traditional Romanian food.

Clean and nicely decorated restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food was served quickly. It was very delicious, I can really recommend going there if you're downtown and looking for traditional Romanian cuisine

The stuff is not welcoming at all. First time we ordered 3 ribs and the waiter served only one, second time they were lying us about all booked tables but there were few available for other people without reservation, not to us. Very disappointed

Great place with typical Romanian food! Friendly staff, very nice suggestions from them in order to avoid ordering too much. Mamaliga was fantastic! Generous portions and nice atmosphere.

Good traditional Romanian food and hot wine with orange pieces! I couldn’t find in menu satmale though. We ordered peasant pasta, mici (minsed meat kebabs), baked cabbage, polenta with chease and bacon plus soup. Initially we wanted to try papanasi desert too. But after eating main menu we were so fu, couldn’t do dessert anymore))) Beautifully decorated place, staff speaks english. We were on there on Monday evening, place were almost empty when we came at 6 pm and close to 8 pm it was almost full.

Really enjoyed it here, felt like really authentic place with traditional cuisine. Portions really generous. Had a mixed grill platter for 4 persons and it was absolutely a feast! Didn't liked the fact that the place don't have any of Romanian beers, only Carlsberg and Tuborg, that was really surprising.

Best restaurant in Cluj!!!! Tried going to Zama and Cafe Bulgakov and those have nothing on this one. Friendly staff and the food was amazing and huge portions.

The food is tasty and a great variety of choices for meet. Less so on the Vegetarian side or lighter alternatives Soups are not always available in the evenings and aubergine salad is loaded with mayo. Staff is super friendly and prompt and the place looks like the interior of an old Romanian house with little details.

It is perfect and authentic Romanian place to eat. The meals are perfectly cooked. If you are not looking for a 5 Michelin stars restaraunt but for a home style cozy place to eat local food - that's an option you should try. Be attentive since it is pretty popular among locals and gets really crowded around 1-2 pm lunch hours

Could not have asked for a better ending meal to our 12 day trip to Romania. Got to try a few more things that we hadn't had yet and ended the meal with an amazing papanasi dish!

Very nice traditional Romanian food.

The general impression is good but not excellent. Casa Maramureseana it's a traditional Romanian restaurant, located at 1, 7 km away, on walking distance, from the center of Cluj. I was satisfied by the service they provided but the food didn't convince me. We tried the mixed plateau which included the traditional "jumări" that I highly appreciated and recommend. But the rest of the products didn't impress me.

They did not have a lot of the food on the menu available when visiting. The food is of medium quality, not bad but nothing extra. The place is nicely decorated. Some of the personnel is a bit negligent with customers while other staff is fine.

Felt like a touristic place where folklore is given more importance to than the food. But hard to judge based on one time

Excellent place to try and eat traditional Romanian food. The service is great and the food is delicious.I ordered a steak and mititei, and I was very surprise how big and tasty they were. You have a lot of options but all are great. I also ate a Maramuresan ciorba (it's a sort of a soup but with meat and sour cream - by the way the sour cream was yummy). You can also enjoy a beer,wine or other drinks. Great place. You can make reservations or you can enjoy a table outside at the terrace. The bread was homemade.

A very nice and cozy place to have a dinner. The food is really good. I had a typical maramures platter and it was a huge portion meant for 2 people, but it could be easily for 3. They have also a great papanasi, very light and fluffy. Not to sweet and not too greasy. Just perfect. Would recommend to anyone who is a tourist in cluj to try this place. Price-value is great. Service is very friendly.

Check the good food at Casa Maramureseana in Cluj, 2-3 min walk from main ortodox cathedral. One of the best cozy places to eat, have a good drink and plenty of amazing tasty food.

Simple but hearty food. I believe this was one of the big platter options. If you're into meat this is a good option for you. Has a very homely feeling and probably a good place to take the family or with a casual group of friends. I enjoyed this dish as it hit the spot when in need for some protein. Seemed fairly priced and very laid back.
