Great place, great food! Also great wine. Service is particularly good. Some reviews slam the polenta, well who would eat it anyway 😀

I enjoyed to try some local Romanian food at this restaurant. The food was delicious and had a bit too much. Fun with the complimentary drinks although it was a bit too strong for me. I love the sarmale and the eggplant salad. We also had a grilled fish and it was very good. One minus is that if you are a no smoker it is impossible to sit outside. But unfortunately this is the same for almost all Romain restaurants.

Highly recommend! Probably the best food in the country! The plate for 2 was great, very big. The staff was very friendly. It’s a hidden gem!

A beautiful restaurant with traditional Romanian food that has come highly recommended by locals. The atmosphere was inviting and homely with a pretty vine covered courtyard. Every dish came out superb, well cooked, and well presented. I had the Cabbage a la Cluj which I really enjoyed but it’s also my first time trying it so I can’t really comment if it was well done. In any case, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for traditional food.

Amazing place to truly embrace Romanian traditional cuisine. Big menu with a wide variety of dishes and drinks. I loved the decorations and the music which were also in traditional folk style. I tried mamaliga (main course) and papanasi (dessert) with Romanian red wine and I also got a welcome cherry aperitif which was delicious! All of it was delicious actually! I really loved it and can definitely recommend :)

Excellent Romanian food! I even had traditional Transylvanian balmos that tasted exactly as I remember my grandma used to make! The outdoors seating was great, as well as the service! The local beer was so good and flavored! They served us sour cherries liqueur on the house, and it was delicious!

The best food we had in Romania. High quality, home-cooked, authentic Romanian food. Would recommend ordering the hot platter in order to try all of the different meat dishes (sausage, cabbage rolls, etc). If you eat meat, you will love this place.

This is a very nice restaurant that services delicious traditional food. The staff are very nice and the service is fast. I tried one of the vegetables soups, the sarmale which is stuffed cabbage leaves and the traditional miic sausages and everything was delicious! For desserts we tried traditional papanasi and it was so good! Not too sweet and well done. I would come back here if I am in the neighbourhood. The outdoor garden is also beautiful especially in good weather.

Lovely location within the heart of Cluj-Napoca away from the city noise. We ate on the terrace, all in all it was a lovely experience. Food was tasty, portions generous and staff very friendly. Traditional food from north western Romania.

Nice place with traditional romanian food & very good service 🇷🇴❤️. Take care with the traditional drinks (tuica and visinata) 😂 We had the following: chicken noodles soup; polenta with cheese and sour cream; romania cabbage stew; chicken liver with onion; cottage cheese donuts with sour cream and blueberry jam. Everything was tasty!!! 🔝

People had recommended us this place and OMG they were right! The food is very very delicious! The waitresses are very kind and the atmosphere nice. We didn’t have to wait a lot, just a couple of minutes. Maybe the prices are a little bit like Western Europe but I’m sure that whatever you order will be delicious so highly recommended!!! What an absolute gem of a restaurant! First of all, the service was exceptional. We were greeted with a complimentary polinka shot, they have home-brewed craft beer which was delicious! The food was absolutely delicious! We had the mixed platter, ham and beans, grilled tenderloin to share. The prices are competitive compared to all we ate. We’ll definitely be back

Traditional Romanian Restaurant. I tried the stuffed cabbage and pork ribs. It was fabulous. I never considered cabbage to be as tasty as this. The sour cream on top made a huge difference. The staff speaks fluent English and they are very nice! Main dishes start around ~40-50 Lei and sides from ~15 Lei.

Great atmosphere and authentic food from Romenia, we really enjoyed. We recommend the soups and the rolls of pork. Luckily most of the menu available has got all traditional food so easy to pick and discover the tastes. Local desser was also very very good. Reasonable price.

Had dinner with guests from abroad - it's a favorite place for them, the food is really good, it tastes homemade. They are very accomodating, but if you plan on going, it's best to make a reservation, as they are quite full. Their menu is large and absolutely tasty.

Now that’s an AMAZING restaurant serving Romanian food. I wanted to have some traditional Romanian dishes during my visit in Romania. I left the country more than 20 years ago and I very rarely cook Romanian dishes nowadays, plus there are no Romanian restaurants around me. This place did not disappoint. The service was outstanding. The portions were quite big. We got served shots of vișinata part of the appetizer, which I found it really nice. This place is definitely on the more expensive side for restaurants in Cluj Napoca (I was told for locals that lunch was considered expensive), but for a tourist like me, it felt quite affordable. We were a group of 3 for a late lunch and appetizers, drinks, main dishes were about $60. We sat outside under pleasant shade on a hot day. I would definitely come back to this place next time in Cluj Napoca.

We arrived with Romanian colleagues there. We got a private table inside. It's very cosy with traditional Romanian music. I'd call this a typical ethnic restaurant. The music is not loud, so you can easily hear the rest of the people. The menu was great, they had English translation too. The waitresses spoke English. The food was served fast, it was also delicious. Other people enjoyed the wine. Make sure to go for dessert. I skipped it and it was a big mistake. I'd recommend the place.

We checked this place as it was so highly recommended on tripadvisor and oth websites but we were quite disappointed. Yes the place looks traditional but honestly it’s very basic with almost no decoration except for the wooden touches. The food was ok but not specially tasty. We were also disappointed by the very cold service, bland recommendations when we asked for them and the forgetfulness of the waiters. A Romanian experience should be cozy, warm, friendly and delicious and this is not at all what we found. Do not recommend this place.

Wonderful little restaurant outside of the historical centre. Delicious Transylvanian dishes and wines. All waitresses have been most kind and thoughtful. The mixed plate was enormous. Will go back on every visit!

The place to go for rustic local romanian food. Chicken broth with noodles and Venison Goulash with a side of Polenta come recommended, and enjoy your free Tuica or Palinka shots!

Walked in for the dessert and we were not disappointed. Had the papanasi, two types of ice cream, and a tea. Our server also brought us complimentary shots on the house! Amazing place, delicious dessert, highly recommend a stop at this cute, traditional Romanian restaurant.

Very nice homey romanian food. Location is tucked in a small street. Sat outside, with grape vines hanging above us and 3 black playful cats free roaming. Love animals so it was like entertainment to watch them.

A hidden secluded gem of a place with exceptional service, hospitality, and food. Please bottle or jar your spicy salsa!!!! I will order it online. Stuffed cabbage was awesome and the plum polanka was great. Perfect local beer made just for them that really hits the spot and has a great taste too.

The food was simply perfect. I have ordered a platou. The stuffed cabbage rolls they just melt in your mouth combined with the creamy polenta the taste spectrum was complete. Also the rachia from the house was the perfect balance of aroma and alcohol. And of course the service was just perfect.
