Beautiful Garden. There is a museum inside the garden with exhibition. Very peaceful place and not a lot people out there. There is Japanese garden, greenhouse. Restrooms are clean and there are few in the area. Some sculptures are missing. Tickets cost 15RON. The opening hours are from 9 am to 8 pm

A breath of fresh air in the middle of the city. Worth taking a long walk around, the huge trees and various plants can offer a hideaway from the summer heath. It is a good place for photo shooting sessions. The carnivorous plant exhibition was pretty interesting. On a Saturday afternoon too bad there were more people in the shopping mall than in the garden. Entry fee for a family with 2 children is only 32 Ron.

We came in December. There was snow when we came. So while there were not a lot of plants growing outside, it was still very beautiful to see a carpet of small white. The greenhouse was magical. It made the visit well worth it. There are so many different types of plants inside. I would recommend going even for this. The cost was 15 lei per adult.

Very nice place. The garden is really clean and quiet. The diversity of plants is amazing. You can enjoy a relaxing day in the middle of nature. The entrance fee is 11 lei (around 2 €) and you can also buy some drinks there. Bring your favourite book and enjoy it in the middle of the forest listening to the birds.

It's a great spot to spend an hour or two walking in (manufactured) nature. I visited in January, and there were barely any flowers along the paths. Just empty planters. Maybe in another season it's more colorful. The Japanese garden is nice, and there's a hike trail with bridges and a small stream underneath. The place is perfect to get away from the city's noise. 15 Lei entrance for adults, but 9 Lei if you come after the greenhouses close (around 15:30?).

Super beautiful garden. Even though there are not so many plants in autumn anymore it's definitely worth a visit because of the colors. It's just a pity that the greenhouses were already closed for visiting.

One of my favorite places to go to. Every time I go to Cluj, I try to visit this park. Especially during the week when there is a more relaxed atmosphere and not so many people. The plants are gorgeous and variated, seeing such beauty always brings joy to one's soul.

The garden was great, a lot of places to chill down. Pretty clean and not so busy on a Sunday. Don’t forget to go to the greenhouses too! Great experience. The waterfall area was very relaxing. Toilets were very clean.

Beautiful garden ⚘️ A mostly quiet place where you can find many of the nature's wonders, including a small river singing softly sad and happy songs 🥰 A dedicated area to Romania's floristry, also a Japanese garden. Well structured. Also, in the bonsai area inside, there is a very nice and cheerful young girl welcoming all guests 🥰

The garden is very nice and well structured but unfortunately the greenhouse was closed when were there. Apparently it was the best part. The price to enter was around 3 euros so definitely worth it. We still enjoyed the walk and the time spend there.

I’ve seen this garden in winter, spring and summer. Is very nice for a walk in nature. You will see there all kinds of plants and the garden should be visited in all seasons to enjoy all diferent flowers. Last time I got up in the Water Tower but the trees in the garden are so high you don’t see much landscape. I reccomend to visit. In august the roses were in bloom and their perfume was all over garden.

Stepping into the enchanting garden, I found myself immersed in a world of captivating beauty and serenity. The garden, a stunning amalgamation of nature's wonders, revealed a harmonious blend of vibrant colors, melodious sounds, and refreshing scents. It was a sanctuary where time seemed to stand still, allowing me to bask in its captivating ambiance. The first thing that caught my attention were the diverse species of birds gracefully flitting through the verdant foliage. Their melodic songs filled the air, creating a symphony of nature's finest melodies. It was a joy to witness their playful interactions and to observe the intricate patterns of their plumage. As I continued my exploration, a majestic water tower came into view, standing tall against the clear blue sky. Its rustic charm added a touch of nostalgia to the scene, reminding me of simpler times. The tower served not only as a functional structure but also as a captivating focal point, contributing to the garden's allure. A small river meandered through the heart of the garden, its gentle flow lending a soothing soundtrack to my wanderings. The sound of water cascading over rocks and the occasional gurgle of a miniature waterfall filled me with tranquility. I couldn't resist dipping my hand into the crystal-clear water, feeling its cool touch against my skin. Nestled on the bank of a small pond, a tiny reading room beckoned me to unwind and indulge in literary pleasures. The intimate space, adorned with comfortable chairs and shelves filled with books, offered a quiet respite from the outside world. I could feel the stress and worries melt away as I lost myself in the pages of a captivating novel, accompanied by the gentle lapping of the water against the shore. One of the highlights of the garden was undoubtedly the expansive greenhouse, a haven for tropical plants from around the world. Divided into different sections, it housed a breathtaking array of flora, some of which I recognized from my home country, St. Vincent. The vivid hues, exotic foliage, and intoxicating fragrances transported me back to the lush landscapes of my childhood. Each step through the greenhouse revealed new wonders, and I couldn't help but marvel at the diversity of plant life thriving within its walls. My visit to this delightful garden was a truly unforgettable experience. The tranquility and natural beauty that enveloped me were unparalleled, leaving a lasting impression on my soul. Two hours seemed to pass by in an instant, and as I reluctantly made my way back, I couldn't help but yearn for more time in this enchanting paradise. I highly recommend this garden to anyone seeking solace, inspiration, and a connection with nature's awe-inspiring wonders.

Wonderful place! A lot of greenhouses and there is situated a water tower with a great view. Highly recommend to visit it at the beginning of April, because there is a fabulous tulip collection.

A very nice botanical garden. Entrance fee is 2 euros. Most of the garden is well maintained, but some parts of it are pretty dirty, especially the water, lots of plastic bags and tissue in the water and on the rocks ( don't know from where are coming?). We spent more than 2 hours in the garden, discovering lots of plants. It's worth to visit! 👌

It's a nice place. But you will not enjoy visiting during winter. The best time to visit here is spring and summer. Part of the area you will see lots of pupu on the road very disgusting and unkept. It was irritating to go to that section. If not for that the place is sweet

We went there end of March, early April. I recommend to go later in April, when all flowers are blooming. We didn't witness that in this period.

Very nice and well maintained garden, but, it is a nightmare to find a parking place nearby , as the place is located in an area where most of Cluj hospitals are. Because it's beautiful, and it's worth visiting it, finding a parking place should not stop you from visiting it.

We had the pleasure to visit it during late autumn. The garden was beautiful even at this time of year. There were no tulips, roses and the plants that look amasing during the summery days. Yet, personally, i found the gardens very relaxing, cosy and ready to be explored and fill yourself with good energy. A numerous number of trails make the garden look bigger than it actually is. It's actually a small maze that is worth exploring at any time of the year even, i guess, during winter with everything covered in snow.

Fantastic place, with a large variety of flora from practically every biome. The entirety of the garden feels like a lovingly crafted floral theme park, and despite some of the buildings showing their age, the natural beauty of it all more than makes up for it. Do yourself a favour and don't forget to visit the butterfly building, the people there are very nice and knowledgeable and you'll see some of the most beautiful species of butterflies at different stages of their development.

Lovely atmosphere, a really beautiful place. We enjoyed the butterflies a lot. We felt so disconected from the busy city.

The Botanic Garden in Cluj-Napoca is one of the city's hidden gems. Situated in the heart of the city, it offers a serene escape from the bustling urban life. Covering a vast area, this garden is home to an impressive variety of plant species, both native and exotic. Visitors often praise the garden for its well-maintained landscapes, diverse plant collections, and informative signage that educates them about the flora. The garden's layout is thoughtfully designed, allowing for leisurely strolls, educational exploration, and quiet contemplation.

Amazing garden with beautiful flowers. We were there in a hot sunny day and we found enough places where to hide from the sun.

The Botanic Garden is one of the biggest collection of plants and trees that I have ever seen. It has both outdoor and indoor exhibitions and you can spend the whole day visiting it with your loved ones. The glasshouses are absolutely amazing and they exhibit, among others, palm trees. You can have a coffee, soda, water, ice cream or snacks at the small kiosk by the entrance. The tickets can be bought only at the entrance of the Botanic Garden. I have visited it a few times and can't wait to go there again.

Cheap huge exterior botanical garden. I'm not a flower person and did find interesting things. The various basil hybrid section was surprising and fun for me. I also enjoyed the bonsai section, that was a discovery for me. Bring sunscreen

Wonderful park, very beautiful and fairy. Thousands of flowers and interesting trees. 2-3 hours you can spend here easily, if you you know, like and understand flora even more.

Always a delight to visit this peaceful oasis in the middle of urban hustle and bustle. There are occasional special exhibits like the butterfly one we visited this time.

Lovely botanical garden. Beautiful plants and flowers. Enjoy beautiful tulip blooms in spring. Ice cream and water available inside at a shop. No restaurants. The glass houses are beautiful. Entrance fees payable by card.

The gardens are beautiful, the directional signs could be more detailed. You get to pathways intersections and have no idea where to go. The signs to the water tower took us to a building, it wasn’t the water tower. After walking around we found a “tower “ with no signs, basically a concrete skeleton structure with a metal staircase. Nothing about the “tower “ etc. The museum is great.

A nice garden, and now, in spring, a big variety of tulips in many colours. It started to rain, and a place to sit under a roof would have been nice and a place to buy a cup of coffee and cake, even better lunch. It's a bit sad to see the turtles in a little, dirty kind of well. With nowhere to climb up like a rock/stone and so little room to swim. And people could touch them and bother them. Also, the fish in the place where the water lily's had dirty water.

In my experience, if you want to see a lot of color, the best time to visit is either in the fall, or around April (for the tulips) or June (for the roses), but it’s beautiful and peaceful anytime, with something interesting to see whenever you choose to go. For instance, even though I had just missed the tulips this year, so it happened that the rare Himalayan blue poppy was beginning to bloom. The Japanese and Roman Gardens are both beautiful. There is a pond with ducks and koi fish. In the fall the little hill (where the water tower is) was full of squirrels, the kids loved them. The top of the hill is especially beautiful when the leaves change color and cover the ground. It may be a bit more modest than some botanical gardens you may have seen (in the movies, if not elsewhere), but it does have its own charm. You can buy ice cream or something to drink from a small stand in a corner, and souvenirs from the ticket booth right next to the entrance, where in the spring they also sold tulip bulbs. There are benches to sit down, so you can have a snack, relax, or take a book and spend the day there. Or you can just walk around listening to birdsong (may take a couple of hours to see the entire garden), either way it’s a nice break from the city. The greenhouses close in the afternoon (around 5PM I think), so if you’ve already seen them before and you go later, then the tickets are a lot cheaper.

I visited the botanical garden under the snow of January 2020. There are multiple things to see such as the garden itself but also a botanical museum and glass houses with tropical plants. There is also a tower from the top of where you have a nice view of the garden. This visit under the snow felt magical.

The Botanic Garden from Cluj is a beautiful place with many interesting plants to see. I consider it is necessary to invest more, in order to have more flowers even is winter. There are some orchids but the place where they can be seen is too small and can be visit only with guide.

  • 5/5 Anna N. 1 year ago on Google
Huge area, well taken care of, so beautiful even in late autumn, it must be breathtaking in summer. The greenhouses were very cool and the Japanese gardens very pretty, climbing the water tower was fun too! 15ron for an adult for the entire area.

  • 5/5 Adrian C. 2 years ago on Google
Extremely nice place, especially good for taking a walk and relaxing. The Japanese garden is a sight to see, just don’t take a surprise bath like I did when falling in the water. Or if you do, bring a swimsuit just in case.

  • 4/5 Mega V. 1 year ago on Google
A beautiful place to visit when the flowers are in bloom, recommend visiting the Japanese garden, the Roman garden and the plant house, also check the many waterfalls along the way.

You know those kind of museums that make you travel in time? Museum of botanical garden Cluj is one of those, feel like you are many years back but in a good way. Wooden cabinets, plants on jars or pressed on paper, dioramas, graphical drawing materials, anything "old style" and I hope is staying unchanged. The garden is a calm retreat in the harts of the city, lots of informations and also here that old research vibe of mid century. Take a visit!

Wonderful for a morning or afternoon stroll! All the flowers were labeled in both Romanian and English which I greatly enjoyed since it made it easier to make connections. A large variety of roses as well. Definitely worth a visit if the weather is nice.
