We went there for a Tedx event in October and were pleasantly surprised that the seats in the upper part of the amphitheater are also comfortable enough to not make us feel numb after just a short while of seating in them.

The venue was fantastic! I was able to visit it for Techsylvania 2022 and was surprised by how big the theater is. The courtyard and meeting rooms were also a decent size for a post covid era event

Went here to a TIFF movie. The event was great but the chairs are not really comfortable. The building is nice, a master piece of Cluj-Napoca ❤️

Well Jimmy Carr described it as a bit communist in its vibe and made him rethink his life choices that led him here, but otherwise great! On a more serious note though: unfortunately it does feel a bit underwhelming in size and lacking in amenities. For today's day and age and for a City of Cluj's caliber that is. However, one can't help but feel grateful for the events that are facilitated there despite these constraints. After all, it's not like it'd be easy for a new venue to be constructed in such a central location in the city, that's more modern and especially one that's larger. I might be missing some context to the venue, having moved here merely a few years ago. Perhaps of its historical significance or zoning laws... But this is my genuine impression of the venue at the moment and I'm happy to share, in case it helps anyone reading to contextualise what the place is like. I went ahead and attached a cheeky picture as well.

Clean location and nicely refurbished Spacious, with really interesting shows The smell inside is not ideal due to fabric materials being not regularly cleaned up

Really bad organization for a stand-up show. The show was supposed to start at 9:30 but the doors were not opened until 9:50. The seating is also extremely unconformable and you have no space for your legs (and I do not have long legs). Also, for a 2 hour long show, the AC was non existent. At one point it honestly felt hard to breath. The show was great but the bad organization, seating and lack ok AC ruined it.

Visited the place for the Tangerine Dream concert. Amazing experience, but I highly recommend getting some earbuds for these kinds of events. The reverb was really high and could cause ear damage. Other than that, nice lounge to watch the stage from afar, decently confortable chairs.

Not easy to reach, but worth the effort.

I was to Students' Cultural House for a Folkloric Concert that was absolutely wonderful. The place itself needs some upgrades, but the quality of the concert is worth enduring an uncomfortable chair.

A structure used for events that stands in the middle of the city from the communist time. Unfortunately, the fact that it was built a long time ago does not help the acoustic, lighting , or ambience of the location. It would take a large investment to bring this location to the "new era" when it comes to events.

Attended a concert by one of Italy's philarmonicas between Christmas & New Year's Eve - the place was fully booked. Good organization, clean and nice athmosphere.

If you want to attend a show, do NOT sit in the area closest to the stage, because the slope is not enough to ensure good visibility, unless you are quite tall. Much better to choose sits in the area farther from the stage, where your view cannot be obstructed.

Good place to visit and relax. You can take a walk, vistit the old buildings of the castel (partialy restaurated), read about the history of the castle and visit some art exhibitions hosted here. Ticket entrance is very acessible (10 lei for an adult). I hope it gest entirely restorated soon, as is it is a beautiful piece of architecture!

It's an old style cultural venue. Has several different sized rooms. Usually it is used for plays, concerts, movies or events. Also cultural associations have their head courters here. Student organizations tend to use it as well. Very old style everything inside.

Nice place but the acoustics could be better

In clear need of a renovation! It seems you step inside and are automatically transported to 1980 :))

Beautiful and clean place to hold events and concerts. Sadly, i would not recommend it for theatre plays or any other kind of show that does not conventionally employ microphones, as the resonance and acoustic are lacking.

Nice place in the city center to go to a show and then have a drink somewhere near.

Central location, comfortable seats, good acoustics. It still has some elements from the time it was built, but overall it is welcoming for most of the cultural events.

It's a fairly modernized building, suitable for events that require moderate number of attendees, like a stand up comedy show. In their defense, the chairs are pretty new, but the distance in between rows is a bit ridiculously small. Clean, good accoustics, friendly staff.

Really new and fresh. Good attention, a place to find a place to study

From time to time they should clean the stage... lots of dust on the stage... shame!

Hello, I want to share you one real message from my WhatsApp contact from russia. As I know, most of russians support potential assault on the territory of the EU, they think it could be Poland or Romania. But we have chance to finish this war on Ukrainian territory, and I really want to stop Russia befor my city will be destroyed like Mariupol or Kharkiv, before my friends will be murdered. Please, ask your government to urge the provision of air defensive weapons and ammunition to the Ukrainian army. Write to your politicians, press, influencers - this is the way you can help to defend our homes from russian agression.

Used the one of the secondary smaller rooms for a trining. It was a nice experience, but no projector was available, and the walls were in not the best shape. It was also pretty hot and opening the windows wasn't really the best idea since they were directly towards the heart of the traffic. Anyhow, the problems were minor.
