The House of Matthias Corvinus

Tourist attraction ā€¢ Historical landmark ā€¢ History museum

šŸ˜  Horrible. 10 lei entrance and not even worth that. Statues are old and broken. Some pictures of modern art. Only saw one good painting of a group of people in a street. Second best was someone who jokingly put his name next to the air conditioning on a post-it. I think the people giving 4 and 5 star...

Horrible. 10 lei entrance and not even worth that. Statues are old and broken. Some pictures of modern art. Only saw one good painting of a group of people in a street. Second best was someone who jokingly put his name next to the air conditioning on a post-it. I think the people giving 4 and 5 stars are doing it more for the walking area around the museum which is indeed very nice.

There is no information on the door or anywhere inside. We asked if we could visit and the person who came outside was very rude. Please, if the internet says itā€™s open and itā€™s not, correct that information or make it clear that you need to call in advance. Otherwise, other than the opening hours, there is not much information available. If I could recommend, make information more accessible, and place an information board somewhere near the doorway. Thank you. Foreign tourists wonā€™t know to call in advance / not to ring the bell if itā€™s not stated that you canā€™t visit. Very unprofessional.

This is a neat little spot for history buffs or anyone curious about the past. It's believed to be King Matthias' birthplace and really gives you a sense of stepping back in time. The building itself is pretty impressive with its old-world charm. Inside, it's a quick tour but filled with fascinating details about the king and medieval Transylvania. Perfect for a short, interesting break while exploring the city center, and it's super easy to fit into any sightseeing plan.

Beautiful mediaeval house, gothic, in Cluj Napoca. Now part of the Arts Faculty.

We visit it for free. No-one charged us. Not much to see, but still it is history. Make knowledge before going, so u will know where are you standing

House where Matei Corvin, son of Iancu de Hunedoara, was born. Beautiful exterior and nice interior garden. However, not much to see. Unclear when it's visitable, we happened to be there on a Saturday, paid 5 RON (1 eur) to get in. Had higher expectations. But it's super nice that it serves as home for the University of Arts and Design.

There are not too many things to see there. It would be nice to get to know more about the history of that place at least.

Beautiful old building with a pretty garden. There was a modern art exhibition in the basement (works by students of the university, small but quite good) and a photography exhibition in the main hall (sadly closed on that day due to some event organized by the university which owns the building). There is nothing about King Matthias, who is said to have been born here. The admission fee is 10 lei.

Great service and really cheap entry tickets. For students it's only 5 ron. Worth a quick visit.

It's where the Art University of Cluj holds the theoretical classes and meetings. Old building with a basement where are held art exhibitions. There is a restroom as well.
