Searching for the worst place in Cluj? You've definitely found it. It beats all my previous bad experiences by far. We decided not to stay. We were a group of friends wanting to stay for one night and use the pool. Everything was arranged through the phone and when we get there, we're not allowed to use the pool during the night (something that's understandable, but it was stated differently through the phone) and they tell us not to make noise, because they have some Austrian and German guests who'd like silence, like we're not guests and we'll definitely make noise. That was the premise from the beginning. A prejudice without knowing us in advance. Furthermore, let's talk about rooms: in the basement the rooms smell strange and a friend of mine spotted some mold. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies, yet alone my friends. Later edit: the owner is lying about door slams and loud partying. Yes, we were planning to have some drinks, but we told from the beginning that we won't be noisy and will respect all the guests and we were planning on respecting all the promises we made.

Worst experience ever had. It was cold and dirty. From the house parking slot outside you were able to see in bathroom of my room because the louver were broken. So I had to fix those in the night to comfortably take a shower. And though I had a 2 person room booked the staff or presumed owner asked me and the other one, in a very unpleasent way, why is the second person coming in..then he realised I had a 2 person room...after the whole emberessment.

The experience was really bad. On the website appears private bathroom, but when you arrive there you see that there is no private bathroom only one bathroom one for 4 rooms on every floor. The pictures from the website looks different than reality. In the bathroom is a bad smell. Just don't go there!

It's pretty affordable (even if still relatively expensive) for the peak of visitors in Cluj (for Untold) but the conditions are pretty bad. The window blinds were broken and couldn't fully close them, the swimming pool was empty and not working, everything seemed to crumble. On the other hand the staff is quite kind.

I contacted them in order to make a reservation on behalf of my NGO for a guest from another city. The woman I spoke to kept insistently asking about whether the guest is "pretentious" and "a party person". This is forgivable. She gave us their bank account details and asked me to make the payment. I was smart enough to not pay before telling them that our guest is trans, would be showing up and presenting their own ID, however their appearance and the gender and name on their ID might not "match". I mentioned this in order to make sure that our guest would not be mistreated or accused of having a fake ID. When the woman heard that the guest is trans, she immediately said that she would not be available during our desired dates (two nights) and that we should find another place. I reminded her that she had been confirming that the dates would be available for the past day and that she even gave me the details to pay for the reservation. Her response was that she does not owe me any explanations. Anyone who supports the LGTBQ+ community or is part of it can NOT, in good conscience, give their money to the people managing this place.

When booking online 3 weeks prior to arrival, they requested my credit card details AND my CVC code number promising that nothing will be deducted until I booked in....Well you can guess the next part~Within 30 minutes they had attempted to withdraw 700 euro's from my account~But I was so glad that their request had made me wary enough to mistype 2 digits!~So much for their promise not to do so!Needless to say I chose one of the numerous other hotels that choose to keep there promises and not request a CVC number for your credit card details!

Booked a room for a night and when arrived there, I was told they gave the room to somebody else, even though when I made the reservation I told them we were gonna arrive late at night (around 10pm). Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Always a pleasure to stay there for 1/2 nights! People are really friendly and the dog is cute tho! ✌🏾♥️

We had a very pleasant stay at Pensiunea Mellis. Enough space in the room, good shower facilities, very friendly owners, good breakfast with fresh products. As a bonus a small swimming pool. All for a fair price. My next stay in Cluj will be at Mellis again!
