My husband and I have stayed in many beautiful spa hotels and I would confidently say that Glenddoch is nothing more than okay. The decor downstairs is lovely but the bedrooms certainly need redecorating. There were marks all over the wallpaper and attention to detail is missing in the room we stayed in. We booked the superior room and it wasn’t superior at all. Not offensive just not luxury or boutique, and certainly not what we were expecting. The spa is basically just a pool and smelt terrible. It felt unclean, so we spent some time in the outdoor jacuzzi and then went to our room. The food is very nice and the kitchen staff are the only friendly and polite staff in the building! Well done to them as they are probably keeping this place alive. The gentleman on reception needs to find a new vocation if he thinks customer service is to look at people like that. We did become unwell on our stay, which is sometimes unavoidable, but there were other reasons as to why we won’t be staying again. The venue is beautiful (a real selling point) and so I feel if the spa isn’t improved and the bedrooms renovated it could quickly continue to go downhill. I do not think it’s worth the money at all. I feel it should be graded a 3 star rather than 4 star hotel.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we read the other reviews and were a bit anxious, upon arrival we were greeted by a very helpful gentleman on reception and promptly checked in. Room was spacious and clean but a little worn around the edges nothing major but I can see why some people may gripe about this. The bed was extremely comfortable and cozy. As mentioned in other reviews the walls are extremely thin and you can hear other people's TVs and general living noise, again nothing major but I can see why some people may have a problem with this. We unfortunately didn't have time to use the spa facilities but they did look great! The only thing I could advise is to answer the phone at reception. I called 12 times during various points of the day before arrival to check a few things and could not get an answer. All in all a pleasant stay.

Lovely spa. Really beautiful views and the facilities are really good. My one gripe is people bringing little kids into the hot tub when there's signs there saying not to do so. The staff were good though and altered them to the fact that they shouldn't be in.

Myself and two friends had an overnight DBB and shared an executive family room. Every member of staff we spoke to or passed by was incredibly warm and friendly. The room was beautifully decorated, with a modern bathroom and a good size overall. The outdoor spa pool overlooks stunning views and the indoor facilities were great too. Dinner was delicious and they have a great selection of drinks. We all had a back, neck and shoulder massage in the spa which were amazing, the staff listened to our concerns on terms of problem areas and worked on then. Would highly recommend! Already booked back up for the end of the month.

The hotel is on different floor levels with loads or staircases. So ensure rooms suit your needs. It's on a golf course so perfect for golfers 🏌️‍♀️ . Staff very helpful and friendly. Scottish breakfast was 9/10, no beans. Evening meal was lovely but be prepared for high steak prices. Wine was excellent. Bar prices like most hotels are overpriced. No Guinness. Swimming pool. Sauna etc...well worth a visit. Room was large and all you need was there. Usb and 1 light switch not working but everything else was perfect. 🌳 height in some places restrict the river view. Views outstanding 👏.

Enjoyed our stay. Disappointed though with accessibility ♿️. I'm on crutches. entry to the outdoor hot tub was ok, but no rail as you go further down the other steps from the hot tub! I'd have struggled if I hadn't had my husband with me. The swimming pool isn't disabled friendly at all. Ladder type stairs. No gradual steps with rail. Not even the usual 'disabled chair' that can lower you in & out. Parking for disabled rooms was a nightmare as the restaurant & golfers all use that car park! We had an accessible room, and had expected to have a parking space with it, but my husband had to drop me off, and drive about to find a parking space, not close to our accessible room! Really not impressive in 2023. On the whole, our room was fine. The food was excellent, and the views from the outdoor tub, and the restaurant, were amazing. Just the accessibility wasn't impressive at all. For that sake, I won't rush to return 😢

If it was possible to add more stars then I would. I booked a stay for my partner and I that was of particular importance. Everything down to the finest detail was perfect. We got a complimentary room upgrade for our stay which was so appreciated and completely unexpected. The room was spacious, modern and beautifully decorated with coffee/tea making facilities and ice cold water with glasses. Robes and footwear for the spa were also provided. We ate in the restaurant and the food was simply unbelievable with a vast selection of drinks. Particular credit to Nathan for arranging the extras and making our special stay so memorable. We received complimentary drinks which to me is a mark of the class that this place possesses. The spa was clean and the facilities were very comfortable with amazing views from the rooftop spa. They even went to the effort of sorting balloons and extras for our room whilst at dinner for a small fee. I truly can’t commend or thank the staff here enough. Everybody was so polite and thoughtful, they catered to every need without delay and were the best of Scottish hospitality. Thank you all so much for everything. We will definitely be back.

Once again absolutely outstanding overnight stay with the family. After our wedding here we fancied another trip. The spa, meal, room and breakfast fantastic. Once again thank you to all the staff and the lift in the golf buggy. Will back again soon.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views of the River Clyde. Only downside is there is no lift, but it's on the website that they don't have a lift. Food and service wS excellent.

we (couple) booked a Room for 2 Nights, our friends had their most beautiful wedding in Gleddoch Golf & Spa Resort. our Room was Outstanding, we had our own wee living space before goung a few steps downstairs to the bedroom and bathroom. Our room was very clean, comfy and got some robes+slippers. Staff was phenomenal, very pleasant and our Bartender knew his whiskeys. excellent whiskey choices,a bit pricey but to be honest we were just amazed by the location, amazing staff and Spa that we didn't mind to pay a but more for drinks. Breakfast was nice and the wedding food was phenomenal (would love to get the recipe for that potato, cheddar&bacon soup) YOU should book the Spa Access so you can use the pool and Jacuzzi, definitely helps to relax and forget about everyday stress

We had a lovely 1 night stay here before our flight from Glasgow airport. The room, facilities and food were wonderful!! We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Rubbish experience, made sure to let them know what I'm expecting and wanting in terms of room, but when we got to the hotel they gave us a room with the view on a wall (shown picture) also outside pool not working which was the main selling point of the hotel for us. Once complained to reception and reception management nothing happened other than told to pay for upgrade which i find utterly unfair in this situation because it doesn't give me the time and opportunity to even look for other options. Very unprofessional and very uninterested attitude from the reception team.

£718 to stay 2 nights in a suite which was in desperate need of redecorating, the whirlpool was the reason we booked this room but there are no electric blinds as stated so nearly broke my neck trying to put the blinds down, once blinds were down we realised they are not long enough for the windows. When we arrived the bedroom curtains were hanging off the rail but my husband fixed this. Bathroom is a nice size with great shower but the tiling has been so badly done it drove my tiler husband insane for 2 days, he also advised that the shower tray is not sealed and this will lead to leak damage.as a previous manager of one of Scotlands most popular wedding venues I was shocked by the cold plates for our mains and Luke warm food. Cocktail we had were lovely and so was sticky toffee pudding. We had trouble getting a table for dinner as we weren't given any restaurant info at check in and didn't get use of spa either as no info was given for this. On our second day we went out for our anniversary and when we returned we were informed that cleaners had called manager to our room as they thought they should not be in the room as there was police records , evidence etc lying around. It took who knows how many people roaming around our room to figure out it was a murder mystery game we had been playing the evening before. As funny as this was ! The cleaners should not have been in our room without a sign saying please make up my room. This was a trip for our 2nd wedding anniversary with the intention on rebooking for every anniversary and was meant to be special and absolutely worth every penny , I feel like it totally disappointed me after we stayed in a pet friendly room at the hotel last year for our anniversary as we couldn't get a dog sitter and the experience then was lovely! That's why we rebooked on checking out last year to return for our 2nd anniversary . Unfortunately I think we will need to find something else to accommodate our wedding anniversaries from now on.

I've forgotten my masseuses name as it's now a week later. I want to say Heather maybe? It was the best massage I've had ever at a hotel. I had so many knots and she really helped loosen them off and gave some great advice. All the staff were lovely and kudos to the pool guy to manning reception due to the problems staff were having getting in with the bad rain. You did an excellent job!

Excellent hotel, rooms are very clean. The food was delicious although not sure if it was the time of night but the waiting staff disappeared, had to ask to get our table cleared and had to walk up to the bar and order desert as we were left waiting over 25 minutes. Everything was perfect apart from waiting staff letting the team down

So, overall this was a decent stay. But there a number of areas that need attention for it to be better. Firstly, our room was missing some items that come as standard (robes, slippers, iron). These were brought up when asked, but should be checked before guests arrive. Secondly, the hot water has issues in the room. The shower struggled to stay warm for long. A bath was a no go as it switched to cold quite quickly. We reported this when we left. No apology received. Thirdly, at breakfast there was no red or brown sauce. We both asked different waiters and waitresses who told us it would be refilled soon. It came out 15 minutes after we both asked and had sat down with our cooked breakfast. Obviously, it was too late to use on our breakfast that was on the table. These areas need to be sorted for it to score higher given the price and comparative resorts available. However, a shout out to the waiter in the Drsm Bar. He was excellent (told us he recently started the job) and we enjoyed the company he provided. Keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍

Staff are fantastic. very friendly, attentive and want you to enjoy your stay this is across the board from reception - cleaners - ground staff. Rooms are spacious and clean with great water pressure. The email to " make us an offer to upgrade" is a nice touch. My only criticism is there is no music / atmosphere in the restaurant or bar. the space itself is fine however nothing for guests to do after their dinner other than sit in silence in the bar. otherwise highly recommend for an overnight with your partner.

Generally disappointed. Firstly the restaurant certainly isn’t fine dining. Food was average at ‘fine dining’ prices with no table clothes or atmosphere. Plenty of complaints from other guests during our stay and the service was often amateurish. The table next to ours had to open their own bottle of Prosecco they’d ordered and then given two different types of the wrong glasses. The views were great but the windows you looked out of were filthy on the inside and were never cleaned. Cancelled our dinner reservation for our final night with friends visiting to eat elsewhere. Elderly mother requested a non-slip shower mat three times to be told eventually they didn’t have any. Rooms were dated and the corridors noisy at night.

Amazing hotel with great facilities, the only let down in such a beautiful place was the restaurant, the food was lovely but felt more like a cafe with a fine dining price tag, we didnt really expect to see burgers or fish and chips on the menu. However, the breakfast was a very high quality. Staff were friendly and the Clyde Suite was impressive and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay with my daughter. Check-in was a little later than expected, but not their fault that we arrived early ! The spa was great, and the girls at the spa reception can't do enough for you 😃 The room was lovely with complimentary water 😉 We went out for dinner as we had already eaten lunch in the hotel, and the menu wasn't much different if at all ! Wasn't easy getting a taxi to and from the hotel 😕 The fire alarm went off in the morning with no reason as to why !!? Overall, the hotel was nice but probably wouldn't go back .

Solo overnight stay with DBB. Beautiful hotel and spa. Food was good. Facilities were amazing. Lovely friendly staff. Very helpful. The one and only downside for me was the price of wine was very high. Average of £8 for a small glass. £10 for a large and £40 a bottle.

Just home from an overnight stay. The food was the star of the show, fantastic. The staff were lovely. Views and walks on a clear day stunning. In the outdoor jacuzzi last night looking at the stars. Would definitely recommend 😃

Location is great and spa is nice. Room was big but very expensive considering the shower was broken and the fire alarm went off at 3am and we had to evacuate. No offer of any free drink or discount due to the interrupted sleep especially given it was our wedding anniversary and a rare baby free night we were hoping for a good sleep!

We stayed at the hotel for one night with a dinner bed and breakfast deal. The location is beautiful, good views and tranquil surroundings. We stayed in the newer part of the building which was a shame as the older part of the building is very beautiful. Bar was pleasant for a drink in the afternoon. Food in the bar was very good and service fast and friendly.

Had a wonderful stay of 5 days here, made all better by the staff who were excellent, friendly attentive, making for a warm and easy atmosphere. This I found in all departments of the hotel. The food was amazing! The staff were very generous and made my wedding meal with my family in the Kilpatrick Suit most memorable and made a family gathering into something wonderful and such a special day. The massage at their Spa was amazing, most relaxing extremely wonderful in a lovely atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff for make our day!

Had an overnight stay here and absolutely loved it. The staff were all lovely and friendly especially bar and restaurant staff, the service was fantastic. The breakfast was fresh and absolutely delicious especially the sausages they were amazing. The spa facilities were excellent especially the outside hot tub with views could have spent hours using the facilities so lovely and relaxing. The whole place just has a lovely atmosphere and I would absolutely recommend staying here. I will definitely book to go back as loved it 10/10 for an amazing hotel, facilities and staff.
