The Saltings Nature Reserve is a beautiful getaway with a little bit of everything. We bicycled via the Forth and Clyde canal route till here and it was pretty awesome. The place can definitely use some maintenance and regular cleaning particularly the beach areas.

A great nature area for dog walks, there is a small beach under the Erskine Bridge, it would be nice if the area could receive a little investment as there is a great deal of potential. The paths are mainly tarmac and there is access to the forth and clyde Canal tow path if you want to go further.

Great walk and easy to access the cycle path, to head further down to bowling and beyond.

Fantastic place to walk the dog or just have a wee stroll. If you feel up to walking a bit further west along the canal there's the newly refurbished Bowling harbour, where you can have a wee rest at one of the small cafe's. Also watch out for the deer in the area.
