It's currently 00:36 and they are still playing their techno garbage music loud enough for me to hear from half the park away. Thank goodness my kids fell asleep before that started! The restaurant has some lovely waitresses, serve a great sirloin steak but have nothing else going for them. We waited nearly two hours for our food in a half empty restaurant and the 'supervisor' was just trying to get the waitresses to manage our complaint instead of handling it herself. A 30 minute pool party for 4 kids and 2 adults (who have to pay to go in and supervise) costs £45.

Place was kept very clean and tidy, staff were fantastic and went above and beyond, great entertainment. Only a couple things that I would suggest is more activities on throughout the day and maybe rethinking prices etc or some sort of activity pass. Also I felt the staff were getting harassed because they were constantly running out of food items and drink items and there was hardly anything in the little gift shop. Other than that we had a fantastic holiday and will defo be back x

Enjoyed our weekend away, kids enjoyed the entertainment. caravan was quite far from entertainment but as it is a flat walk throughout the park it wasn't that bad. Shanon and Gavin on the security are outstanding in making sure that wee felt safe and secure on site and where genuinely nice people. Also mention for Chloe's amazing customer service and patience in the gift shop inside entertainment venue. Kids making a choice on which toy they want is a long process and she was just lovely in helping. Visited chip shop was really good, fresh food. Do a family deal £22, including sausages, chips, fish bites, and your gravy/curry sauce and was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Think someone had called in sick but on the Saturday and guy behind the counter had his work cut out as it got really busy late on, luckily I had got there before the late night flurry arrived. Was a busy weekend in the venue but didn't wait very long at bar as the boys where very efficient in taking orders and firing through the crowd. Unsure of there names but they where cheery and pleasent. Will defo be back as it rained on the Saturday and was a bit chilly on Sunday so didn't get to enjoy the beach although had a peek and it looks fantastic.

Bridge to beach shut, so no access to the lovely beaches. Very expensive for food and drinks also the chippy has not been open at all and no explanation. Otherwise was a nice park, the entertainment was good and plenty of things for kids. You can hire wheelchairs and mobility scooters nearby, they have the prices and number at reception. Very nice staff

We had a fantastic week. The caravan was clean and complete. For us that we just want a family holiday and on a budget. Providing the kitchen appliance that you will need is very helpful. The Staff was very friendly. And the location was very accessible on everything you will need. Highly recommended and for sure will definitely come back.

We were there for a long weekend and expected more than we got, the facilities are very small, there isn’t much to do locally either. The caravan was a bit dated and there was no smoke alarms fitted! The restaurant has a small menu but the food that came out was good for the price, drinks well priced too. The staff we encountered couldn’t do enough to help you, it’s the staff that gets the 2 stars not the park. The shop on site shuts at 6pm for some odd reason and it’s not very well stocked and stupidly priced, also the railway gets a bit irritating and to top it all off the caravan next to ours has about 1000 LED lights round it so that was lovely in the window all night. I wouldn’t come back and think the stay was overpriced for what we got.

I went with my 2 kids 11 and 12, my brother and nephew 4, we all had a great time. The entertainment catered for all ages. Caravan was clean and had all we needed! Good to get the kids off the internet. Would definitely recommend

Cigarette ends all over the place, surrounding our van , van itself was very dusty and dirty , food or whatever splashed all over the walls. Carpet all frayed through out entire van and stained carpets in living room. Doors were filthy. Windows covered in finger marks . Curtains covered in mould. Caravan smelt of damp. No safety locks on windows which was a major issue with my autistic son. Dodgy sofas that were thick with dust. Freezer thick with ice. Booked extra wide van and this certainly is not an extra wide . Had food in the restaurant beside park . Moved tables 3 times as they were all sticky . Kids diluting juice was rank . Serving staff were friendly enough. Portions were adequate. Bridge to beach is shut which isn't stated anywhere . I'm glad I brought my own toilet roll as the one provided is absolutely awful . Over all really disappointed with our trip and don't think we would come back again it's just not worth the money . Had a tight chest and sneezing since I got here from the damp smell and mould .

On arrival, the caravan was dirty, egg shell under dining table, still food in the kitchen sink, various splash and drip marks, fridge door dirty, dusty tv,dusty shelving. Have gave the benefit of the doubt that they may be short staffed and pushed for time. Beds were fresh and clean though. Older caravan so had rusty radiators, cupboard handles etc. The entertainment at night was second to none. Great night had by all. Food that we ordered was lovely. All the staff are an asset to the business. Special shout out to Connor, Ryan, Abby and Beth, what a great team! They are fantastic at what they do and work so hard to make sure guests are entertained. We particularly loved the park live entertainment on the Saturday night, Elite, they were fantastic! All in all, a great short break, shame about the caravan, however we still had a great time. Thank you!

Dirty dirty place. Cigarette ends great you as you walk towards your van. The webs outside are smaller than the webs inside the caravan, dirty caravan in general its cleaned to eye level. And the town centre looks like the walking dead . . . .

Site looked clean enough and well kept, however the touring site leaves a lot to be desired, we won’t be back. Having stayed at many Parkdean sites, this is one of the poorest touring areas we have come across (Thorness Bay on Isle of Wight was like a derelict touring site). It felt like we were dumped on a travellers site, the toilet and shower block wasn’t in a great state of repair, and wasn’t very clean. The motor home next to us had thumping music going all day and night, no security seemed to patrol, and in general just wasn’t very appealing. My father-in-law’s car was also vandalised along with another six vehicles, although that’s not the fault of the site, it certainly not something i would risk in the future, although that happened at the far end of the site as they were staying in a static caravan. The entertainment was excellent, although the show bar seemed quite small for the amount of holiday homes on the park, toilets in the restaurant were not clean either, something we’ve experienced on other Parkdean sites too. Very disappointing overall, thought we’d give it a try.

We were not aware of the sewage works going on just outside the park. Whilst it didn't impede on the park, trying to go for a lovely scenic walk became a trek through town. Great for a quiet get away but not so much if you have kids. Looks very dated, not well signposted throughout site.

Just returned from a long weekend break. Park was clean and tidy with a lovely little play area for the children, though the adults would have really appreciated some benches along the sides of the fences. Only issue was the caravan itself, there had been dogs in before us which made for a harsh weekend for those of us with allergies. Close to Isle of Aaran ferry and some gorgeous beaches.

We booked a last-minute caravan stay with Hoseasons. The only downside to this is that we were unable to book into the swimming pool as it was fully booked but this by no means made our stay any worse! The caravan itself was clean and comfortable. My only niggle was that I'd have loved to have had a vacuum, even a mini one, as with 4 kids the floors soon get covered in crumbs! Scissors would also have been great but we made do with the kitchen knives provided. The holiday park is lovely, clean and well-maintained. We were right at the back, and although we used our car to get to the club house/restaurant this was due to my arthritis- it could easily be walked if I was in full health. The entertainment was fantastic, the team work so hard and are brilliant with the kids. Our 10 year old took part in the karaoke and talent nation and the staff were so canny with her. The later entertainment was fantastic as well with both visiting bands and the staff that work at the park performing. The drinks are pretty pricey, cider/lager was around £6 a pint and Pepsi Max almost £4 a pint. I did hear a lady say a 250ml bottle of prosecco was £10 but I can't vouch for that! If the kids will have Slush, it works out cheaper to buy a yard when you first arrive and then get refills- it's only about 30p cheaper a time but they get more and it soon adds up! The food in the restaurant is lovely and reasonably priced, maybe slightly on the upper side e.g. £14 for burger and fries, but there's a good deal on the kids' meals at lunchtime which brings the price down. All in all, we had a lovely time away and would definitely look to stay here again!

Worst caravan site we've been to. Very dirty and the whole place needs a full renovation. The radiator in the toilet in the caravan was thick with dirt and there were hairs everywhere in the bathroom. The pool is very dirty. Arcades kept breaking. Not got one good thing to say about this site. Avoid this site!

We visited this site last week for our family holiday. This is the first time we have visited here and stayed in one of the parks static caravans. Although we thought our caravan was a little tired with a few small but minor defects we still made the most of it. Park in general has all facilities, although small and having to wait for club was a bit disappointing as only had capacity for under 200 people and was far more caravans for the size. Entertainers were great and our little one loved joining in. Drinks not badly priced and food looked good although we never purchased. Had some good breakfast offers. Would have liked more family orientated facilities in the nearby area, was very quiet but nice.

I don't even know where to begin! I wouldn't even give this place one star! Absolute disgrace of a 'holiday resort'. False advertising at its best!! Our holiday was booked at another parkdean resort & was cancelled without a reason & we were moved here. The caravan was disgusting, dirty bedding & mattress, looked like it had been there since the 70s. Even the kettle didn't work properly. The caravan was basically situated on the train track were it passes at least every half hour or so!. The entertainment if that's what you can call it was a joke! 12-13 year olds hanging around outside smoking & drinking chatting with the ''security''. our first night we went for a meal at their restaurant, it was vile, kids food was cold & my husband's chips weren't even cooked! While we were there a man in his early 20s stumbled out was sick & spitting in the bin, at 6pm ish!! And the "security" just let him walk back in to continue drinking! Around families & little kiddies! There was no covid regulations in place from what I could see. The shop on site was never open & the chip shop was closed for business. The park it's self is grubby and trashy as well as some of the caravans you could see, the grass in the park is marked from vehicles driving across it. The cartoon wall is shabby and needs a lick of paint. You can't access the beach as the bridge over is closed. We didn't spend anytime in the park again after the first night and cut our holiday short as I couldn't stay any longer.

Sad is how the site made me feel. Had to use app for food/drink orders but it wouldn't accept any offer codes so full price charged for everything. Even charged for food we never received Staff were good at the apologies can only assume it was because of the number of times they made them. Choice of food was very limited due to one of the ovens being broken. So kids had pizza, burger or nuggets but usually only burgers on the menu as the other two sold out. Not sure how as restaurant was never even half full. Would definitely not go back nor would I recommend it.

Was good, end of season so quiter. Kids and I had fun in arcade, kids and their dad had fun in the pool. Restaurant was OK...food was average...but very overpriced, drinks are ridiculous for what you get. So maybe get some drinks in before going out. Chip shop has a ridiculously small selection and the prices are disgusting, food is rank as well...I would be embarrassed to serve that to anyone. Would not use again. Didn't make use of entertainment this time as only there for long weekend. Caravan wasn't ready when we got there at 4.30pm, however it was cleaned properly. Only 1 pillow per person and the double bed was so wobbly that we couldn't sleep on it. We ended up taking the mattress through the the living room floor. Bed that pulls out from sofa is NOT big enough for 2 adults as my normal sized partner took up the whole bed on his own. Electric heaters in rooms and bathrooms which we kept on all the time. Has fire wasnt working on arrival, but a quick visit to reception and maintenance came and sorted it promptly. This was kept on most of the day as caravan was very cold (expected at this time of year) Overall a lovely time with family.

Caravan, amusements and club/bar area all very clean. Kids really enjoyed the night time entertainment. Order to your table app worked really well. Out of stock items were clearly marked. Went to the restaurant on site for breakfast before leaving and the service was good and the food was excellent.

Great place for a short break. Upgraded caravan was perfect. Spotless and enough space. Kids entertainment was enjoyable , lots of fun and enthusiastic team. Pool quite small but children enjoyed. The jet ski activity in pool was fun , staff here friendly. Location good but shame about bridge over the railway from park to beach being closed this meant we had to walk into saltcoats cross a bridge then walk all the way back to beach next to the park. Saying that it was good getting a walk.

This caravan park is fairly typical of most parkdean sites. The caravan we had was excellent, modern and well equipped. The entertainment hub is situated at the entrance to the site and houses all the usual amenities, dining area, amusements, entertainment area and swimming pool. On approaching the site the first thing you see is an industrial complex which appears to be warehouses. However there is no immediate effect on the site in terms of noise etc. The site itself is well looked after, clean and tidy. Unfortunately the bridge that connects the site to the beach is closed which results in a lengthy hike to get there. The site is spread out lengthways which mean if you get a caravan at the far end of the site it's a lengthy hike to the entertainment hub.

Stopped here 3 nights Fri - Mon. Caravan was overall ok for the money, there was an issue with the heating at first then the maintenance guys turned up within literally 5 minutes of us calling the office and fixed the issue, that was brilliant, staff overall were really friendly, didn't really use the facilities as we just used the caravan as a base.

  • 5/5 Liam R. 9 months ago on Google
We upgraded our caravan to a luxury one. The facilities were very good. There was sufficient utensils for a cooking enthusiast such as myself! Plenty of good routes for cyclists from this location, and a lovely drive in from A74 :) Can't fault the entertainment, the staff were brilliant. Decent arcade for the kids and the activities were very good and reasonable priced. The same cant be said at the bar but this is to be expected I suppose. Would recommend:)

Caravan was lovely however had to give a quick clean as was a fair bit dirty on arrival. Bedding was spotless though. Site itself is in a beautiful spot of Scotland and is a good base to explore with train station being so close. Plenty of stuff to do on site if you prefer to stay on site with nightly entertainment included. Very good access to everything for wheelchairs as well as I'm in one and encountered no problems with that. All staff very helpful.

Busy park but it was a bank holiday weekend. Restaurant and bar still had high levels of availability throughout our stay. The close proximity to the meat factory next door didn't cause us any issues. Only problem we encountered was a salt issue. Anytime a salt pot was left unguarded it disappeared. Will return one day. Great base to see the Isle of Arran.

Reasonably prices, clean, well looked after, they got indoor pool, entertainment, good bar and good food. The town itself is not so interesting, but if you plan your trip well, there are a few things to see on the West Coast max 30 mins drive.

  • 2/5 Martin C. 1 year ago on Google
Visited in a touring caravan. Disappointed. Pitches way too small. Hard standing area for awning littered with cigarette ends. Only one working shower cubicle for the whole touring area... can't adjust the temperature and so hot you can barely stand under it. Push button turns off after about 5 seconds. Hopeless. No toilet roll in toilets. No soap at sinks. Grey water drain about 4 inches square, so impossible not to slosh waste all over the service area. Won't be coming back.

The best part of this holiday for me was the showroom, the staff are great and a very entertaining place. My nan was in histerics from the hosts and the games they host too are fun. There is 2 problems I had with this place, the first being the distance from the main building was a bit far away. This was a problem because me and my nan can't really walk for too long so it would be nice to have an option in the booking to have a caravan closer to the building or just have a bus that takes you to your caravan. The 2nd problem was the space in the caravan, there isn't much space to walk around in and was a bit cramped. Still manageable but would be nice if it was less cramped. Overall experience is that it's a good place to be, staff are friendly, the activities are fun. Will be coming back here soon in the future 👍

  • 1/5 Mark L. 1 year ago on Google
Spent 3 nights here on the touring site. Absolutely appalling. The touring area looks like scrub land, units too close together and some of the more "permanent" members look like they are conducting business on the site. Bins and nearby maintenance yard all open to views and not screened off. Facilities are the worst we have ever experienced. Never cleaned, poorly maintained. Very often people discard unwanted underwear in the block that remains there for days. Do not go there. We have complained and await the response from ParkDean.

  • 2/5 Jill M. 11 months ago on Google
Forget the pics on the website, they don't give an accurate depiction. The kids entertainment is good, engaging, all the kids seemed entertained. The pool is literally just a pool but clean, warm and free. Most staff are friendly. Drinks expensive. Road in is depressing to say the least. The park itself is just a field with row after row after row of caravans. A huge, rusty pipe running along one side, a train track on the other, literally a few meters away. Zero view of anything except the factory next door. Touring area is grim, we had no problems but can't say we felt particularly safe. We booked the minimum 2 nights but left after 1. Wouldn't return unfortunately.

  • 4/5 Rosalind T. 11 months ago on Google
Location in a good area although road works etc on way in to park at the moment. But no problem getting in. Lovely friendly staff and people on park. We picked far end of park so quiet for the dog. Nice and clean with loads of birds singing so very peaceful there. There's a short drive to massive lovely, dog friendly beaches both ways out of the park, as the bridge is closed over the railway line to the beach from the park. Not Parkdeans responsibility think it's an old one from the Railways, trains very quiet, barely noticeable.

Just back from another amazing time at sandylands. Every staff member we met were all so friendly and great with the kids. The children's entertainment is really good and my 3 absolutely loved it. The caravan was super clean and had everything we needed. Great time had by all

Lovely clean site however it's awkward to find if your SatNav packs in. Small road in shows you which golfer is about to prang your car next, and if he does then you can always dispose of him in the abattoir on your way to the site. No access to the beach as the bridge us damaged. Odd location however the site is very well kept, good for a quiet break - avoid school hols of course, no different to elsewhere.

  • 1/5 Michelle P. 1 year ago on Google
Booked the touring site for 2 nights and left after 1, there's is no security barrier at the entrance ,leaving the safety of your unit compromised. On arrival to our pitch it became apparent that we were on a travellers site, pitches were a state with the contents of the units all over the place, one pitch had a portable toilet on it. Sign written vans and work vans also on site. The toilets had no toilet paper and showers were filthy, one had a shower cap left in it. The notice stated these are cleaned twice a day this didn't happen Once. The last straw was the train line behind the pitches, trains running till midnight and again from 6am, this wasn't stated when we booked. we didn't feel safe leaving out tourer to go and explore the area and decided to leave after a night of no sleep. We contacted reception with our concerns but nothing was done

Me and my family have been here twice this year and loved it both times, amazing beach nearby, pool was clean and not overcrowded, friendly staff, entertainment was way to busy so we only went 1 night, amusements were ok better ones down the street near the Aldi and shopping centre
