Awesome little oasis! The hoop house here is a treat if you’re looking for a little humidity after a dry spell in the mountains. Plenty of great flora to check out and spend an hour or two soaking up the smells.

A must see, if you enjoy flowers! It's a short Taxi ride. You can stroll through the garden and glasshouses, even sit and relax. Unfortunally no drinks are served, bring at least water! If you want more, there is a naturetrail up the hill with more examples of this beautiful flowers!

🎍🐞great to relax in nature🎍🐝 At $50 pesos (~$2.35)/person, this garden is perfect for a 30min wonder about. Especially, since the mountains and climb trails were not available at the time we came. We arrived at 3:30pm and the garden closes at 4pm. The orchid pass was great, and has many places to sit or relax. The only negative would be the road that goes along the garden - depending on when you go, there will be noise pollution. But don't let that stop you; the place is charming! The below pictures will be of the orchid area. Let's Connect, Be sure to check out: @Brazilsontour (IG) or @OurPaperPromises (IG)

Wonderful place, especially for those having a green heart 💚. It comprises the orchid garden (there are more than orchids there) and the natural reserve. The tickets are sold separately (but they're not expensive). The natural reserve is a nice hill, which can be walked in 3 hours round trip (due to time I did not do it). If there is a group, you could have a guide through the orchid section. I highly recommend. Don Manuel knows a lot and is very passionate about all plants. Definitely a huge bonus when visiting this venue. All in all, one of the best outdoor activities to do in San Cristobal.

There are two separate options, seeing the orchids and a nature trail. They asked me 80 pesos for each, but there were strangely no signs mentioning the prices, so I wonder if everyone pays the same amount. I chose the nature trail and the forest was lifeless and dull with no views. Definitely not worth 80 pesos.

We really enjoyed our afternoon here. The trails are great ( wear good footwear) the pines are tall and the forest is beautiful. There is a cave down by the river that you can check out. The orchids in and out of the greenhouses and other flowers were absolutely stunning! Friendly staff, and easy place ( 30 min) to walk to from Centro San Cristobal.

If you love flora , just go. It's worth a visit. Correction from a review before. The walk through the wood is only 1.50 h

Very very nice place. They got sooo many orchids and a very nice designed path with ponds, glasshouses and more. The only "bad" thing is that its hard to get there and that there is no cafe or something like that inside

Loved it! It is a place with medium level hike. You can go up on one side and go down from the other. It is like a circle if you go to the top. I didn't know that and left an empty bottle (i couldn't carry it) thinking that on the way back I would certainly pick it up to throw. But, no, descended on the other side. Was very regretful and shameful, so I asked forest how I could help, and found another empty bottle trashed by smb else ))) I picked it up to throw. It is silent. Trees. Eagles. Mountains on the horizon. Different kind of orquids and other plants. Ferns. My cellphone was full of photos. The place to visit. It is a must

Worth the money. Good hike. Not many people in the weekend. Enjoy the silence of the nature! I’d wish there was an outdoor swimming pool!

Really enjoyed our walk around. Took a picnic. Spent about an hour. Highly recommended.

I only did the hike (el sendero,) but it was very peaceful and good exercise. A cool cave (gruta) is along the way--bring a headlamp if you want to explore it better. The trail isn't very long--maybe 45 minutes to hike the loop, but you really get away from the city noise.

Very nice, cozy botanic garden. Entrance was 50 pesos for botanic garden and 30 pesos for a hiking trail. Botanic garden kind of worth the money but hike wasn’t best. Not much to see. It’s always nice to walk in nature, but no idea why I pay 30 pesos extra.

Nice place to run away from the city noise. There is some easy hike for a few hours into the forest. Good for birdwatching. Just probably could be slippery after the rain. And need to pay 50pesos for it. Looks like, available at some days hike/tour with the guide, that should cost a bit more. Small garden + orangery full of orchids, quite cozy. As well with some bunch of birds, like hummingbirds :) entrance: 50pesos. I definitely recommend for nature and plants lovers. Friendly and cute staff:)

Fabulous gardens and orchid greenhouse. An oasis of beauty just 10 minutes away from centro historici by taxi. Lots of hummingbirds. Well kept trails and friendly staff. A winner!

Amazing garden if you love orchids. The staff was very friendly. The master gardener gave us a tour of the whole place, make sure to give him a tip. It's about a mile walk from centro historica each way and totally worth it.

Beautiful place to go on a hike! The trails are clear and easy. The hikes loops around so you are not taking the same route there and back, in total takes about 90 minutes.

Nice place with an orchids garden and a 1-hour hike. It costs 50 pesos each. 100 pesos per person for both activities is slightly too expensive though but worth a visit

We had a great experience touring the orchid gardens and greenhouses. Many of the facilities are up to date and dozens of orchids are labeled with qr codes that link to scientific descriptions. The trail through the reserve was very beautiful and well maintained also. Highly recommend!
