A great little hudden gem. Away off the high street its an awesome cozy place to tuck into some proper scran for lunch. Great selection of beers to go with. Pies are freshly cooked and you can tell. Prices are cheap fkr what you get. Can get busy so getting a seat can be tricky but not a major issue.

Great atmosphere, wonderful value and food home made. Brilliant. Call in and ckeck me out. You will NOT be disappointed. Puts North Shields well and truly on the map.

Love this place.... Simple, no nonsense geordie fayre served in an authentic atmosphere. Mince pie with mushy peas, creamy mash and onion gravy with a mug of steaming tea followed by a sticky toffee pudding and custard.

Popped in today to see what it was like... Just brilliant. Staff are lovely. Food great. Just superb. They also sell craft ales to drink with your meal. Just brilliant. Steak pie was best I've tasted for decades.

Excellent food and great craic at the pie and bottle shop. Owners are a great couple. I can recommend this place to anyone who is in or around North Shields. I'm really looking forward to going back.

Probably my new favourite small bar/venue. Food is incredibly cheap and incredibly tasty (spoilers - it's all pie). They've started branching out into events - open mic, comedy, etc. Every one I've been to has been fresh, fun and memorable.

Great little place, but can get very busy. However, this is the only downside. Great pies baked on the premises with a choice of sides including mushy peas or beans and then a choice of mashes and gravies. Awesome stuff, and great value. Huge range of local beers in the bottle shop to have with your meal or take away. Highly recommended. Go off peak (we went on a Wednesday at about 1 and it was fairly quiet) and you'll have loads of room.

Fantastic pie and mash and nice drink selection to wash it down

Such a great range of pies, from the mince and onion to the specials board with a variety of tasty fillings. The pies are decent quality, with actual fillings, not horrible paste. I had the steak with mustard and creamy mash with thick, beef gravy and a cuppa. Proper scran. Great work lasses!!!

Loved my pie, mustard mash and minty peas! Hit the spot and gravy was thick and delicious. Really friendly staff chatting to customers and putting up with my feral toddler running around climbing on things. We'll be back!
