A perfect homestay to enjoy your trip with family, friends or even solo. Initially I was about to book a hotel , however, then I came across this homestay and read the reviews and booked it. Reviews are totally appropriate and hospitality is just amazing. Mellisa is an amazing cook. I had appam and it was one of the best foods that I had so far. The house is amazing and surrounded with a small garden and flowers. Everything in this homestay is good and the location is perfect to enjoy the trip.

Hi everyone I am staying 28th and 29th of this month. It is too worst. It is like a dormatory. She is very commercial. She is waiting for guests money. Ac not working. It is like government hostel. Online rating is froud. It is too worst. Night 11 o clock ac filters cleaning. She is taken 2000 per room. Online price 1000. She is stolen guests money . No break fast. House keeping also worst. No service person.

The rooms were very clean. There were no blankets provided in AC rooms. Paid 1500 per night for AC rooms but still no breakfast was provided. No complimentary water was provided. Check for better options.

Good place to explore Fort Kochi and stay in clean, comfortable rooms. The hosts are warm and helpful with queries about what is available in the area. Breakfast was an added charge, but was worth it in terms of quality and quantity. The only downside for me was not having a kettle and teabags to make my own tea. Carry your travel kettle, friends, and you will have joined all the dots.

Everything you couple possibly wish for in a homestay in Fort Cochin. Philip, Maryann and Melissa could not have done more for us, not only with their hospitality and service, fine rooms and breakfast etc, but also in being extremely helpful in arranging accommodation elsewhere in Kerala, in short notice, for a family trip of a week, as well as helpful tips on activities in the city; this was all enormously appreciated. All done without fuss or stress, just genuinely helpful. Can recommend without hesitation, and we plan on returning too. Thanks again, good people x

I would recommend staying at Reds Residency Homestay. Believe me when I tell you this, the moment you walk in, you feel at bliss.. such good energy surrounded with lush greenery. The room is clean, super well maintained. Bathroom are clean and hot/cold water shower. Blankets are provided for AC rooms and towels and basic toiletries too (soap / shampoo) well kept lounge area where they provide the most delicious breakfast (Indian and continental all you can eat at just 300rs with a chill fruit juice coffee/tea) also the Wi-Fi is super strong in all floors makes it super convenient for me to work from anywhere. I got a glimpse of a few rooms as I checked in early and I was blown away. I definitely recommend Reds. Amazing hosts. All in all nothing short but perfect. I enjoyed my stay at Reds, very helpful staff and a house full of tourists. This is the place to stay. Reds is home away from home. Brilliant pick.

We had such a great view days in Kochi. Melissa was extremely helpful and organised everything for us; from Kathakali dance shows to boatrides to taxis. She also recommended best restaurants and cafés. Rooms were clean and breakfast was excellent, fresh local food in good quantity. Location is not in the town centre but is walking distance (15-20minutes) from centre. Would definitely recommend!

Not good for natives, we where not provided by plates and glasses for having food, later they provided paper cups. Did not provided even a drop of water to drink, for what ever we asked the answer was you can buy it from the nearby store. We booked a 4 bed room, there was only one fan working and that too when you are surrounded by mosquitoes.

Had a great stay at Reds residency in fort kochi. I went for a one day / night stay. Room was very neat and tidy and large , with three beds. Bathroom was also very clean with great water supply. Very quite atmosphere with plants and some retro design and items. Fan and air conditioner was properly working. A fridge was also available for keeping beers and other soft drinks. Balcony was decorated with plants and if we want to smoke we can smoke from there. Mellisa , the host was very helpful and kind. Overall very good room in kochi for this price. Very much satisfied. Will prefer to stay here again next time.

The food delicious. Located very near to Naval station. Charges very reasonable. One of the best stay in my travel till now.

One comes across very few places which are worth rating as 4 and the ones worth rating as 5 are very rare. My first experience in a home stay. The room, food and the service are much better than most 4 star hotels. A great experience in my own City. Wonderful hosts.

This is probably the best b&b I have stayed in EVER. There cannot be a more welcoming and helpful couple as the two proprietors Maryann and Philip. The rooms are nice with A/C and good breakfasts are served. The hotel is well placed to see all of Kochi's attractions and Maryann gives you all the info necessary to enjoy yourself to a maximum. She will organise transport to anywhere you want and will give advice and sell tickets for the various cultural shows, concerts at the Kerala Kathakali Centre. I cannot overemphasize the friendliness of the place. After a few days I felt quite a member of the family.

This place is literally what a perfect example is a home away from home means! I loved every tiny aspect of this place. The rustic furnishings, the cleanliness, the garden, the all smiling host, the location and I can go on. It’s a pity we got to spend only one day here. I’m pretty sure I’ll be going back soon.

The experience we had with Reds Recidency is outstanding. The room was super tidy and the house itself was very cosy. We enjoyed every minute of our visit. Melissa helped us a lot during our stay and suggested many nice places to visit. Thanks to her we had a chance to get acquainted with some traditional crafts of the region, and that was just an awesome. Thank you very much,we hope to come again some day.

Reds Residency is an amazingly calm and homely stay in Fort Cochin. The best part about my stay was the owner Melissa and the caretaker Chotu Bhaiya. I remember talking for hours with both of them and felt at home instantly. ❤️ Another amazing thing was the scrumptious breakfast that Melissa offered every morning 😍😍 Would definitely love to come back!

Without doubt one of the favorite home I stayed during my time in kochin! Actually , we on arrival searched for hotels it is a weekend so almost full everywhere and here @ reds residency i was reffered by google, and i thought of enquiry and so on so the process continues and finally booked two rooms we reached at late 8.00 p.m , Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by @mellisadsouzaa. She was extremely friendly, she made us foods and it is delicious too and she deserves a special thanks. We had two one great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The have some collection in there which u must try seeing it especially music lovers there are some instruments to spend the night musically..I am sharing some of the pictures. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. Really doing a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!💚

We had a last minute planning and saw this amazing homestay in Google, without any second thoughts we finalised our stay. The days we spent at Reds residency was one among the most happiest days of our travel diary. Even though we had a late check in we were happily welcomed. Had to specially mention how Melissa did take care of us during our stay.. She is very considerate and was always available for our queries and help. Thanking you once again for being a wonderful host 🥰❣️. Calm and peaceful stay. It is “Home away from our HOME” I was there with my family. Myself and my family enjoyed staying there. Since we need to travel to next destination we had to checkout or else we might have been stayed there for couple of days more. They gave access to their kitchen for cooking food for my 10 months old kid. Am sure every one will feel secured and comfortable feel over there ♥️

I have stayed at various hotels and B&B’s all over the world. I must say, I am so impressed with Reds Residency and highly recommend it to anyone looking for clean, spacious rooms, delicious food,, good location, close enough to access all the main tourist attractions. Kid friendly, mosquito free zone and good WiFi for the kids to attend their online classes. The hosts- a very charming couple, Phillip & Maryann, are so kind & hospitable. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and took care of every tiny detail, including burning the expensive Arabic incense Oudh to welcome us as we had just arrived from Kuwait. They were always attentive , ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you very much Maryann & Phillip for your kind hospitality and excellent service.
