4/5 The T. 4 years ago on Google
When
reading
this
review,
bear
in
mind
that
I
stayed
here
back
in
January/February
2019,
so
this
hostel
may
have
addressed
the
constructive
criticism
I
outline
in
this
review.
So,
why
4/5
stars?
Positives:
The
staff.
They
were
professional
and
approachable,
making
me
feel
welcome.
Girish,
the
manager,
is
a
very
interesting
guy
with
whom
you
can
have
wide
ranging
and
in-depth
conversations;
from
philosophy,
to
science,
the
history
of
India,
to
yoga,
karma,
dharma
and
much
more.
He's
also
very
knowledgeable
not
only
of
Kochi,
but
of
India
as
a
whole.
He
provided
valuable
insight
and
really
helped
me
plan
the
rest
of
my
travels.
Girish
also
took
myself
and
some
fellow
travellers
to
a
nearby
dessert
bar
that
he
recommended
which
was
cool.
The
Chef
at
this
hostel
makes
great
tasting
food.
Good
level
of
cleanliness
at
this
hostel.
Wi-Fi
connection
is
good
and
there
is
a
power
point
for
each
bed.
There
are
lockers
in
the
dorms
(you
need
your
own
padlock
though).
Constructive
Criticism:
Rooftop
terrace
is
nice
but
is
plagued
with
mosquitoes,
hopefully
the
owners
can/will
install
countermeasures
against
them.
I
had
a
great
time
at
this
hostel
and
if
I
had
to
point
out
something
that
could
be
worked
on
it
would
be
what
I
mentioned
above.
Deducting
a
star
for
this
may
seem
harsh
but
as
the
old
saying
goes,
in
life,
there's
always
room
for
improvement
;)
So
there
you
have
it,
my
review
of
the
Happy
Camper
Hostel,
hopefully
both
fellow
travellers
and
the
hosts
find
it
useful.
All
in
all
a
great
job
by
the
Happy
Camper
Hostel
team.
Thank
you
for
your
hospitality,
your
hostel
was
certainly
one
of
the
highlights
of
my
time
in
India.
