Fatima
Hospital
is
a
multi-speciality
medical
centre,
situated
at
Perumpadappu,
Cochin,
kerala,
India
Established
on
4th
February
2007,
and
managed
by
the
Catholic
Diocese
of
Cochin,
the
hospital
is
situated
on
a
sprawling
25
acre
campus.
The
hospital
will
be
developed
into
a
500
bed
multi
super
speciality
hospital
for
the
poor
and
needy
people
of
the
entire
area.
The
students
of
FIMS
undergo
practical
training
at
Fatima
Hospital.
Recently,
on
March
31,
2010,
a
new
Block,
named
after
our
former
Patron
and
late
Bishop
of
the
Diocese
of
Cochin,
the
Rt.Rev.
Dr.
Joseph
Kureethara,
who
had
the
vision
and
insight
to
purchase
the
land
and
to
put
up
a
very
small
structure,
due
to
paucity
of
funds,
at
that
time,
was
opened
by
our
present
Bishop,
the
Rt.Rev.
Dr.
Joseph
Kariyil
with
16
rooms
on
31st
March
2010,
known
as
the
BISHOP
JOSEPH
KUREETHARA
BLOCK.
We
started
the
Hospital
with
only
the
following
departments:
General
Medicine,
Surgery,
ENT,
Orthopaedics,
Ophthalmology,
Cardiology,
Gynaecology
and
Paediatrics.
Up-to-date,
the
number
of
patients
who
have
had
treatment
in
the
Hospital
is
1,30,871.
So
now,
we
are
doing
our
very
best
to
expand
the
bed
strength
of
the
hospital
from
the
present
200
beds
to
our
goal
of
a
500-bedded
hospital
in
the
not
too
distant
future.
The
newly
appointed
Bishop
of
Cochin,
Rt.Rev.
Dr.
Joseph
Kariyil
is
fully
behind
our
plans
and
extends
every
support
in
order
that
we
might
realise
our
goals
and
our
dreams!
Our
Vision:
Fatima
HospitalOur
Hospital
was
opened
in
a
very
small
way
with
only
100
beds
on
4
February
2007.
In
the
three
years
that
we
have
been
operational,
we
have
now,
with
the
blessings
of
our
God
and
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
upgraded
our
Hospital
to
cater
to
the
needs
of
200
patients
and
in
the
future
we
envisage
the
opening
and
training
of
a
large
number
of
Nursing
staff
in
our
Nursing
College,
which,
though
presently
situated
in
Edacochin,
will,
with
the
grace
of
God
in
the
not
too
distant
future,
be
incorporated
into
its
rightful
place-
which
is,
within
the
campus
of
Fatima
Hospital
itself.
Our
Mission:
To
empower
the
beneficiaries
of
the
Diocese
in
enabling
them
to
procure
Health-related
services
at
a
very
low
and
affordable
cost,
keeping
in
mind
the
high
cost
of
health
care
that
is
available
in
and
around
us.
Our
services
should
enable
the
recipients
to
feel
that
they
are
someone
special
and
the
services
rendered
by
the
staff
of
Fatima
Hospital
should
portray
the
loving
and
caring
nature
displayed
by
the
Lord
himself.
