If you visit South Caicos you MUST get out from one of the two resort hotels and have dinner at Sunset Cafe. The food is authentic Caribbean, fresh and delicious. The hospitality provided by Darell and team is fabulous! And as the name suggests, it is one of the best places to watch the sunset on the island.

Food is amazing, the best on the island, and Daryl offers great conversation - stop by, speak to him about South Caicos and its history, enjoy his amazing food and a cold Turks Head!

South Caicos is known for its spiny lobster tail. Over the course of a week long stay on South Caicos, this was the third place we tried the local lobster tail, and Daryl's is hands down the best! Definitely recommend stopping in for some fresh local seafood and an island cocktail.

Great food, beautifully prepared - clean plates all around in our party of 6. Darrell makes you feel like an honored guest. Much better than the resort’s food (sorry, East Bay). The restaurant is super clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!

This place is THE BEST!! A group of us were here doing some medical work and we ate here 3 times! The owner, $2 (his nickname) was a gracious host and so friendly. The grilled snapper, grouper bites, HB conch….it was all the best we’ve had anywhere! We will be back and this place will be our #1 stop every time! Everything was so fresh!

56$ for soda and cracked conch? We had a lunch at the restaurant and were only guests. My conch was a bit rubbery, but my husband said his was ok. It was rather small portion and on previous Google posts of the menu we have seen a price of $12 for Cracked conch. When we asked to pay and were told $56 we were very surprised. Yes we never got the menus or asked for price, so I guess our fault. But, that meal would be worth $12 but never $25… Very disappointed after restaurant was recommended by several local people

Yesterday we went to the Sunset Cafe for an early dinner and we were truly surprised with how wonderful it was. The food was outstanding, the service was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful. It's a local mom and pop operation. While we were there only the owner was working. She was very pleasant, and boy can she cook. I had the best barbecue ribs; fall off the bone tender, cooked to perfection, and the presentation was beautiful. My lovely wife had the grilled conch. It to was gorgeous, and the best conch we have ever tasted. While waiting for our food we saw the owner rush across the street to buy an ingredient she was lacking at the local market. While we were eating multiple take-out customers stopped by to pick up meals they had ordered. The locals here are all wonderful, happy, friendly people. We had read online that this place was pricy, but we found the bill to be very reasonable at $60 for both meals including a generous tip. If you visit South Caicos, stopping here for a meal is a must.
