It's a lighthouse. I have been to this island twice and this seems to be the only attraction on the whole island. Its like $3 to go close to it, but honestlt you can see it from where ths tour bus drops you. The donkeys and horses roaming are more interesting. I overall found this island as a big cash grab. Beautiful beaches, but that's about it.

About a 30 min drive from the Port on a golf cart. The kids enjoyed being so close to the donkeys and fed them a carrot. There's also a small bar in the back and a gift shop. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Grand Turk.

The scenery from the cliff is absolutely breathtaking. This was worth the craziest golf cart ride of my life for sure. We definitely stopped at the bar in the back for some local beer and a Donkey Kick. Add this stop to your tour of the island for sure. I don't think there is a better place to take pictures than this.

There is a $3 entrance fee to enter the grounds. The lighthouse is locked so you can't go inside. There is a gift shop, bar, and outdoor food counter. There are information boards all around the property and the old U.S. Navy facility is next door. Beautiful view of the ocean from!

Grand Turk is one of our favorite places to stop on a cruise. Beautiful beaches and friendly locals. Can't go wrong!!

Great vista, but there's nothing to do at the Lighthouse, just a small bar. No beach. No party. You cannot get on top of the Lighthouse. There's no historical tour there. And a tour company charges you 3 dollars for all this nothing burger. Stick to English Point Beach.

This is a quick and interesting stop. I think it’s more interesting if you’ve been to the museum first and learned some more of the history. The views from the cliffs are nice. There are a couple of educational signs to read, but then you’re done. We wandered over to check out the abandoned military base (naval, I think they said) and were delighted to have two dog friends come with us. There were also friendly donkeys in the parking lot. There really isn’t much to see, and you can’t access the beach at all. But if you like to look at the outside of a lighthouse then you’ll enjoy it.

So picturesque standing a lone on the North end Grand Turk. You stand there thinking back on decades of Mariners delighting in seeing the Light House. They instantly knew where the safe waters were and how to find safe harbors. The hundreds of hurricanes have tried to knock Her off the high ground, yet it still stands bright white today. Light Houses will always have a warm spot in my heart for the good they silently do.

We booked a private tour of the island that included the Lighthouse. It was on a Sunday and with no cruise ships everything was closed. It was great not having the hustle and bustle of the droves of tourists. It was only 4 of us having the place to ourselves. There was a cool bar by the beach as well as a gift shop on sight. It also looked like there was zip lining and other family friendly activities when the place is open.

Our family recently visited the lighthouse. Getting there from the cruise port took maybe 35 or so minutes, but we had a really slow golf cart, but that just gave us more time to soak in the beauty of the island. I love the many placards full of historical information about the lighthouse. We were not charged anything to visit the lighthouse.

We were on a fantastic tour bus which we just jumped on at the dock. It took us all over this beautiful Island and we got to see the fabulous famous lighthouse. There was a gift shop there as well. All over the Island you will see wild donkeys roaming the street equally at ease with the traffic. The people on the island were extremely friendly. Lots of very good beaches.

This visit was part of a excursion tour stop. You pay $3 to walk in and see the same Lighthouse you can see from the parking lot. There is a small bar with overpriced drinks and really nothing else. The water view was beautiful but you can get that anywhere on the island.

Took a bus tour of Island and this was one of the stops. You only get a few moments to check the parking lot out and take a few photos. They want $3 to walk inside the grounds and to use the bathroom, but you can't go in the Lighthouse itself. You get better views from the parking lot so save your $3 and pet the wild donkeys that hang out for free food.

Unless you happen to visit at the same time as a tourist group (on ATV's), this place is pretty boring. Yes, the views and history lesson are great but aside from standing around and looking at the lighthouse or reading the panels in the blazing hot sun, it's really just a checkbox item when visiting Grand Turk. The drive out there is fun - dodge the donkey's is what we called it. I added a star for the relatively clean bathrooms available next to the (closed) gift shop....

One of the true marvels in Turks and Caicos, is the majestic views of the lighthouse on the tip of Grand Turk. This is a great site to look out to the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean while taking in the beauty of the greenery that surround the lighthouse. The icing on the cake is that you may also be joined by a group of donkeys that enjoy the area as much as you do.

Dune buggies provided an exhilarating experience; they were simple to operate, and the paths we traversed gave me the impression that I had explored the whole island. This adventure is perfect for anyone looking for a thrill and a bit of excitement. Along the way, we stopped at a historic lighthouse, which was a highlight. I suggest bringing sunglasses, as some parts of the journey can get quite dusty.

The Grand Turk Lighthouse is one of the main attractions on the island. It only costs a few dollars to visit. The views are great. Donkeys roam the parking lot, and you can feed them. I didn't find myself feeling overly excited to be there. It was really hot and humid. Thankfully, the line wasn't long, and it was a quick visit. Something to see while you're in Grand Turk. Nice photo shop!

This was an awesome lighthouse with beautiful scenic aesthetic view. The local donkeys were out front, waiting to greet us with availability to purchase shelves and carrots. they had a bar and a hut to purchase food along with a gift shop. The entrance fee was just a couple bucks per person awesome photo opportunities at the swing and in front of the lighthouse and in front of the coastline.

The Grand Turk Lighthouse is one of the things you can travel to see while you are on the island. It took about 30 minutes via golf cart and you get to see quite a bit of the island on your way there. When you arrive, there is a pavilion and a person selling tickets for $3/person to maintain the property. The signage isn't super clear but the person at the desk was vocal enough to let you know. The property is relatively small but offers plaques with the controversial history surrounding the lighthouse and the reef that sits north of the island. The views of the ocean are vast. It's pretty incredible how much of the reef you can see. I also appreciatee some of the foliage and flowers on the property. Don't be surprised if you run into a donkey! And they will eat your food if you let them get too close. There is also a small food/drink stand that apparently has free WiFi and some seating. The swing in front of the lighthouse offers a fun photo opp. Pro trip: put sunscreen on even if you are here for a short period of time.

If you’re in the area, it’s cool to see. I wouldn’t take a special trip. Old lighthouse which is rusty and smaller than others you may have visited. The gift shop is limited and a bit pricey. There is a great view of the ocean which is a plus.

We visited The Grand Turk Lighthouse as a part of an Island Tour package. It was beautiful. The entire island is beautiful. There are donkeys walking around wanting to be fed. I didn't feed them because I was afraid it would bite 🤣. My son was brave and fed one though. The water on this island is some of the most beautifully clear water that I have ever seen. We visited in December so the weather was perfect.

The property around the lighthouse is privately owned and charges admission and nobody is permitted to climb to the top.(for safety reasons) There is a good view of the ocean and there are wild donkeys in the parking lot you can feed and take selfies with.

  • 4/5 Alexis P. 2 years ago on Google
We wandered around on a day when it was closed. There are lots of historical signs to help you understand the history and significance of the light house, even without a tour. We also learned more about it in a display at the National Museum. The location is beautiful. The high ropes course looks so cool, but seems closed. Pre pandemic, this place must have been amazing! Still worth a visit if you have time and want to wander a bit. If you’re short on time, skip it because it’s a long drive. Also, bring carrots or apples for the donkeys

  • 3/5 Tyler N. 2 years ago on Google
Paid money to enter and there was nothing to do. You can’t go up the lighthouse and none of the activities were going. I’m not exactly sure what I paid for. That being said, it’s a very historic spot and worth the visit.

This island was great. Me and the wife rented a golf cart for the whole day for 120$ and the beaches had no one on them. Like we were the only ones there. Great place to see

Nice visit. Went with family while on a cruise.

  • 3/5 JC M. 1 year ago on Google
It is a pretty basic light house. After seeing a good 50 other light houses in other countries. This ranks low on the list of lasting impression. Also you are not allowed to go inside. The view of the coast is beautiful. However the operators blare Caribbean dance music, taking away from the experience. The cruise ship passengers show up here on 30-40 person open air trams. So it can go from empty to crowded to empty in 30 minutes.

  • 4/5 Tim W. 1 year ago on Google
This was a quick stop on our tour. The mules come right up to you and want you to feed them. There’s usually a gentleman selling carrots for that purpose. You have to buy a ticket to go in or tour the lighthouse and that’s true of the gift shop as well. Worth a stop but wouldn’t recommend spending lots of time here.

  • 5/5 Gary 1 year ago on Google
Really liked it. Gave some good insight into some of the island's history. Word of advice....there are some donkey's wandering around the island. If you have small kids, keep them away. The locals said they'd bite the children.... I think the donkey's are looking for handouts and that's all it is.

  • 3/5 Charles K. 1 year ago on Google
Walk up to the gate and take a picture. It's pretty much all there is too see. It's much better to interact with the donkeys. Buy a carrot and feed them. Really cool to do.

The location is beautiful and tidy. Visitors can not enter the Lighthouse, and the theme park portion isn't in service currently. There is a bar that serves meals. Donkeys roam freely and approach people in the parking lot for treats. Treats may be purchased in the parking lot.

Besides the port, this is really the only other sightseeing destination on Grand Turk. We toured much of the island and this is the best view and only place with WiFi. There is a small bar and gift store. The zip line and horseback riding excursions are also located here.

This is a nice light house. I went here while I was at Grand Turk and was satisfied with my experience. I went up to the light house and paid the small fee to get in. I walked around the light house, which had a lot of rust on the top. I walked by the ocean and looked at the view, which was pretty nice. There was also a zip line near the lighthouse, but I didn’t do that. After walking around for a while, I left the lighthouse, satisfied with my experience. I gave this lighthouse five stars because you can see a nice view of the ocean by it and it s a nice lighthouse.

  • 5/5 Paulo G. 3 years ago on Google
Lovely spot! If you are coming on a cruise this is the complete opposite of the cruise terminal and a nice scooter ride of around 20 min or so. The island is so small and many beaches are completely deserted. I know people that made it from the cruise terminal to the lighthouse in around 1 hour on a bicycle. Enjoy Grand Turk!

They charge 3.00 to get to light house offer a drink with the tickets they give you only when you go to use it there is no choice without adding cost. If your a kid for some reason the costs go up a 1.00 for a drink. It is beautiful there for a picture overlooking the sea. But that's about it. Oh you can feed a wild donkey wonder in parking lots . But watch your kids because the donkeys will chase them and try to bit them.
