We stayed at Owley’s in September 2023 and it was honestly the best glamping site we’ve ever been too. The location was incredible. The bell tent was beautiful, big and well furnished - very comfy bed which is rare in a bell tent and still got a full nights sleep. The toilet and shower facilities were immaculate, and the cheats kitchen was such a lovely touch where we could make a morning coffee or have a nice warm drink after we came back from a rainy walk (yes, we got rain on our weekend but it was still lovely). We brought our dog who was made very welcome with a dog bed and little goody bag which was the sweetest. Plus another lovely touch with our welcome goodies from Paula who came to meet us in person on arrival. We will 100% be coming to stay again, thanks so much for having us!

We stayed at Owley Woods for 2 nights at the beginning of September 2023. WOW, what an amazing visit! We can honestly say that this is THE BEST glamping experience we have ever had. Simply perfection and attention to detail is impeccable. The welcome from Paula was so genuine, warm and friendly. Everything we needed and more was right there. Owley Woods has gone above and beyond expectations! We loved it so much, as soon as we got home, booked to go again in October ...can't wait. Thank you so much for giving us this little piece of heaven in the countryside xxx

Lovely location and views, was an English version of an alpine farm. Just be aware of narrow roads on drive up from Cheddar . I thought I would review from the disability perspective. Had a stroke 9 months ago and require a stick to walk. Field with tents on a gentle slope. Grass cut short on paths to tents. You have to lift leg about 3" to enter tent, no problem for me. Floor carpeted. Two types of seats, one with arms. There are 2 combined toilet and shower units, easy access but not level with outside. Walk in shower. Some may need small rack/ stool for toiletries. Kitchen small and room for one person (with a stick). Covered meeting/seating area. This is on a slight slope. Requires a seat to be positioned to suit individual and make it easier to stand safely. Either rough steepish path or same steep road you drove up to walk down into Cheddar, may need to be driven into village. May not be suitable for wheelchair user if ground wet but aware of individual user differences. Great time had and owner very friendly and helpful.

If I could give more stars I would! What a absolutley amazing gem of a place to stay! We have just returned from spending two nights in the Tawny Belle and it was absolutley fantastic. The tent itself is maintained to a really high standard. Everything you need is provided such as glasses, plates, mugs and cutlery. The bed itself is extremely comfortable and made for an amazing night's sleep. Hot water bottles and blankets are provided as well as high quality bedding to keep you cosy at night. The shared facilities were spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided as well as a huge fridge freezer. We were provided with a very generous welcome hamper, I won't say what was in it so as not to ruin the surprise for others but it was an amazing touch! Even our dog got his own goody bag! The range of outdoor seating choices was brilliant, sun loungers, normal chairs and even a hammock which we didn't try out in the end but had we stayed longer we would have given it a go! A fire pit and stove to cook with. Warm water to do the washing up with was a very welcome addition and branded washing up liquid was available. You can park your car within the site and have view of it from the tent which provided additional piece of mind. Cheddar Gorge village is within short driving or about 20 minute walking distance from the site and easy to navigate. The dog paddock was brilliant for our dog to have an off lead run and play before heading out for the day. The site is really peaceful and quiet and maintained to the highest of standards. The cost to stay at a place of this standard really is a bargain and not one to be missed! The owner of the site is present often should you need her and very very lovely. This break was everything we could have wanted and more. Thank you Owley Woods!

Absolutely perfect for all our group on our first glamping weekend celebrating my 60th birthday. Can't fault it one bit, everyone went home very happy after a wonderful weekend. We also did the bat walk which was fascinating.
