Superb Markets Thursday & Sunday in the Dry Season - must visit if in town!!

During the hot hot summer, took a short 10mins walk from my hostel to the Mindil Beach and was fortunate enough to catch the sunset in time. Beach is quite empty yet very clean. I guess everyone is in the Casino nearby haha.

Has a market in carpark next to beach every Sunday morning not far from Darwin by car hot as hell early September good spot to see sun Sink into the ocean parks to kick a footy run your dog are here ..

A great beach to watch the sun set depending on the time of year you come (there is a theme for this). Lots to do, in depth knowledge needed as everything is split into a number of unlinked areas.

Mindil Beach is a beautiful beach that gets very crowded at sunset as people flock to the beach to watch and sun go down and catch a beautiful Darwin sunset. At certain times of the year there is a market just back from the beach with food, craft, jewellery and other stall. A great way to spend a balmy night.

A night when the Market is NOT on can be unbelievably amazing! Check the weather forecast for a clear night with no or minimal clouds and enjoy!!!

The place is awesome and the sunset view amazing. We went during the mindle market and had few food to eat. My son enjoyed the beach and playground

Nice beach to watch the sunset. Relatively clean too. Shame that most of the year you can't swim in the sea.

Recommend going there at sunset for some of the most beautiful sunset views you will see. Also go there when the markets are on, there's heaps of great stalls and tasty food available.

Great place to watch the sunset over the ocean and to walk your dogs 🐕 off leash. If you don't like crowds, don't go on the nights the markets are on. You also can not take your dogs to the markets, and they must be on leash on market nights.

I love Mindil Beach! The markets are on Thursdays and Sundays! The food at the stalls is absolutely delicious! Pork, kebab, little pancakes, donuts.. Whatever you'll take will taste great! My favourite is Pickled octopus!

Nice beach. Has a market called mindil beach market. The beach closes every year and there's fireworks on the closing night usually after 8pm.

Nice sunset viewing… but you can’t swim here because of salt water crocodiles.
