Best Italian Darwin. This place is busy for a good reason, very good food, good service and nice causal but a good setting right in the middle of the city. There are other more expensive Italian places in Darwin but this one has the best food. Definitely a good spot for dinner. If your struggling for parking - park on the esplande and walk through

Husband was craving a wood fire pizza and I was craving some pasta which led us to dine here. The service was lovely and there’s a beautiful outdoor dining area. However the food was disappointing, I ordered the lamb ragu pasta and although it looked amazing it was full of fatty bits of meat and I found a bone. My husband ordered the prawn pizza, again looked appealing but as he went to eat it, it just fell apart because of the soggy base. We also ordered a small garlic pizza to share, the moment it was placed on the table we could tell how dry it was. There was no garlic taste and it was bland.

Came here about 3 weeks ago, and service was just amazing. We booked in advance, and was kindly welcomed by the staff who led us to our table to dine. We ordered a Caprese salad as our side, and ordered a Margherita pizza (you can never go wrong with a wood fired Margherita pizza 😍) with a gluten free base. It was to die for! It is quite hard to find a restaurant that sells good quality gluten free pizzas, this place highly exceeded to my expectations. I definitely reccomend, especially to all those who are looking for gluten free friendly options.

We were recommended to eat here by some Darwin locals and were sorely disappointed. The service was poor, disorganised and manic. The food was both overpriced and lacking in flavour. We ordered mixed grilled vegetables (pictured) and the Tartufata pizza. The vegetables were hardly grilled and some served chilled with a sad drizzle of balsamic. The pizza was sloppy and dough very burnt on the sides. We ordered the pizza specifically as it said it came with basil and we were greeted with a single basil leaf on the centre of the pizza, which was a large and cut into four disproportionately sized pizzas.

Not just a nice vibe, not just amazing Italian style spritzes, but also a mouth watering pizza! My husband and I are both Italian and are pizza lover! We decided to become vegan a few months back and it hasn’t been easy finding a tasty pizza without all the cheese and such 😁 Well .. we asked for the Caponata pizza without the fiordilatte and let me tell you! It was incredible! So good that we shared a third pizza between the 2 of us 🤪

The food is so darn good! What an absolute treasure right in the middle of Darwin city. In an unexpected location but still ideal for our seasons, this quaint Italian restaurant is the place to go. The menu extensive, with so many options! Just go... like truly... go, go now From entree to dessert just YUMMM!

Wild pizza, no other words can describe it!!! Good friendly service, a more "sensual" vibe only metres off the roudy strip, quick service and the main part is the pizzas are belissimo👌. Next visit to Darwin deserves another dinner drop in👍

Went 2 weeks ago. The pizza dough was without salt and the pizza edge was completely burnt. The service is perfect, friendly and very nice but the pizza quality is far away to be Italian, so if you're looking for something authentic, be aware. Flavor very very"australian influenced". Probably for Darwin it's fine, but in another big city with more competition/competitors, it will be totally another story.

Hands down the best dinner I've had for a long time. My partner and I went out for date night. Alfonsinos did not dissapoint. I even told the chef I'd marry him for his tiramisu. Book in advance to get a spot. They book up fast!

Tasty juicy pizzas and lovely pastas - we had mostly vegetarian options and they were delicious! Casual setting outside is nice in dry season weather.

Great little place, excellent meal. Nice and tucked away. We had an unfortunate run in with a drunk who wanted our food. And it was quite a warm night, and we weren't under a fan. Otherwise, a great experience.

All 3 dishes were great, we also had the Tiramisu and their Cheesecake was really good!

Delicious Italian food served in an open area but well undercover. I ordered a large pizza, salad and mineral water and I throughly enjoyed all of it. The staff are efficient and attentive. I couldn’t eat all of my pizza so I was provided with a takeaway box to enjoy the remainder later. There is takeaway as well as dining in.

Please ensure you have a Italian beer supply if it is on the drink list. Pizzas pretty good as was the pasta dishes. Will go back and would recommend.

Decided to give it a try based on the good reviews. Ordered the rucolo gamberi pasta and it was bad - tasted very dry and the pasta (spaghetti) seems under cooked and pricey for that kinda quality. Had a glass of white wine which was ok. Service was good though as staff kept checking if the food was alright, but I just said ok and was too tired to give my feedback as I just landed in drw. Perhaps the restaurant can consider marking the signature/recommended dishes in the menu. :)

Amazing AUTHENTIC Italian food. Tucked away off the Main Street. We had a large group, so were lucky enough to be able to order a large variety of entree’s and pizzas to share. Service was great. Only thing missing was some classic Italian music playing quietly in the background!

I've posted about Alfonsinos before, it is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in Darwin. This time my partner and I had the beef wellington (not Italian I know!) And it did not disappointment. This is on a special menu that requires you to give a few days notice for Alfonsino's to prepare. Oh..my..! The flavour in the layers, the crispy pastry exterior, through to the almost hidden mushroom and prosciutto layer (not hidden from the taste buds that's for sure), then finally the tender melt-in-your mouth beef! If only one slight criticism, a touch more in the oven would have been preferred as the beef was very rare in the middle and not hot, but this was not a deal breaker for me. To top it off the baked potato slices you can cover with the rich gravy. As always the staff are friendly and prompt with service. 10/10!

Absolutely delicious authentic Italian pizza! Amazing gluten free base (with their own gluten free flour recipe!). Friendly service and delicious desserts and drinks too!

First time dining at Alfonsino's and definitely will be back. Great meals (pizza & pasta) and delicious desserts. Very fresh, tasty and generous servings. Highly recommend. Service was great too.

Italian joint selling pizza, pasta and salads. No indoor area (so if it’s too hot; you might want to consider an air conditioned place) Service is quick. Low key place.

Vegetarian menu was pretty sad...not worth the menu price. Roasted vege were luke warm, pasta was simply tomato sauce with a teaspoon of capers. Pizza wasn't seasoned and though had a crispy crust, was soggy in the middle parts. Wine was served in a chipped glass which the waiters diligently replaced. Wait time for food was good. All in all....50/50.

Very authentic Italian style cooking with a Top End twist. For a quiet dinner come at opening as locals don't come out to eat tilll the sun goes down. Come later if you're into the social scene. There is under cover dining and a bar counter for quick snacks. We had slow cooked lamb and buffalo rigatoni both well cooked and tasty.

Just wow, the best pasta and pizza I can remember. So authentic and fresh, even if you don’t think Italian is really your thing you should go try some real Italian. Only slight peeve was the slow service, they were reminding us they needed the table back which was a bit frustrating because we ordered and ate promptly but they took a very long time to bring the food (and forgot the salad). But the food IS awesome.

Easily the best restaurant in Darwin! My friend and I were visiting from Melbourne for a week and ate here twice for dinner it was so good. Their red based prosciutto pizza, white based pizzas, gnocchi and tiramisu were all faultless. Perfectly executed Italian food with very reasonable prices and friendly service with a smile. The food and service were top notch. However, I wish there were indoor seating or better cooling systems, as we were all drenched in sweat towards the middle of our dinner.

Best Place to go to eat pizza like in Italy. As an Italian it a good to have alfonsino's in Darwin. It s the only place I go to eat a good pizza . The staffs is great and accommodating. Thank you
