I had a good time. I appreciated the free shows and the exhibits. I think if you have some spare time it’s worth a visit. I think there lift was out of order which if true would be a pity for people with disabilities and prams. I suggest calling first to confirm.

Super fun experience we booked the crocodile cage experience and it was a once in a life time activity. If you’re going the cage of death is a must do. The included show and activities were really fun too. Great little gift shop and cafe. Not a whole day experience only need 2 hours here max.

Fantastic! Being on the main party street I wasn't sure what to expect, but I enjoyed myself thoroughly. The staff, displays, content were great. The only thing I can have a gripe about was bought a photo of us diving with the croc, the pic looked great on the computer screen but wasn't so great once printed. It wasn't worth the $40 we paid.

A really fun experience! We did the cage of death. The lady who explained it all to us was very knowledgeable and calm… it’s a lot safer than it looks…and I don’t think I’ll experience something like that ever again. Also a really neat reptile and fish exhibit. Always a show/ exhibit or feeding going on by the looks

It's a nice place to spend some time in Darwin. There are lots of creatures including some huge Baramundi fish, turtles etc in tanks and Caged Crocodiles. The entry fees is $38 per person. If you have the time, I recommend taking the east alligator river cruise (while visiting Kakadu national park) where you can see the Real Wild Crocodiles in action, in their natural habitat!

Excellent experience in the Cage of Death really interesting to get so close n personal without being eaten by a 5.5m saltwater crocodile called Wendell. These crocodiles were problems in the wild and rather than be euthanised they are rescued and kept in captivity. No they can’t live together these big males as crocodile are cannibals! Highly recommend the experience and the VIP tour where you get to hold Fluffy and feed Burt who has one eye is a bit slow but was once a star in various things such as Crocodile Dundee. Loved filming others in the 3 inch Perspex tube which is entered into from above and on a crane gantry which moves along and lowers you down to their chosen crocodile. They always attempt to ensure they respond. You get 15 minutes down with their chosen crocodile. It’s not scary or adrenaline pumping it’s fascinating to see how they function beneath the waterline. Age from 16 to ? As you have to be able to climb a few steps down a ladder and up again. They do not completely submerge you so you can sit in bottom and drop down with goggles on. Give it it try if your in Darwin it was the highlight of my trip!

I was very underwhelmed by the whole place. I liked the idea that it's right in the city, like an oasis but it just didn't have a good feel to it for me. I prefer my crocs in the wild. Entry was over $30 each. I wouldn't go back.

Fantastic place to visit, every single one of the staff are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. There are shows to see, you can feed baby crocodiles, have photos taken with a baby crocodile, get up close to the large crocs, there are also plenty of other experiences that you can pay extra for but we'll worth it - all the prices here from admission to the cafe and gift shop are all extremely reasonable, you do not get ripped off. I highly recommend this place to visit if you're in Darwin.

A great place to get up close and personal with some magnificent Crocodiles. Get in the Cage of Death, not really a cage but a round acrylic pod.. You hold a snake or lizard or small Crocodiles. Nice licensed Cafe on site as well as an education room.. Lots to choose from in the souvenir shop. Liked it a lot.

A great collection of reptiles and crocodiles and good displays throughout the facility is a great way to experience these animals first hand with the ability to nurse a baby croc. If in Darwin, I highly recommend

If you want to get up close and personal with a croc, this is the place to go but you must book. Recommend the morning, as I did arvo, and they were less hungry and less active. The other attractions are worth 1hr before or after. If in Darwin must do.

Loved it for the most part! All staff were super lovely and helpful. Especially loved the lady doing the reptile feeding. She was awesome and so knowledgeable! The big crocs are absolutely massive and it's so awesome being able to see them under water as well. Most other croc attractions we've been to have been in very murky water, so it was so cool being able to see them in the water. Reptile house was also awesome, lots of great lizards, snakes and frogs to have a look at and all seemed relatively happy The big fish tank was a little disappointing just because it was so dark we could barely see into it, but I guess that's stimulating the natural environment so 🤷‍♀️ I was excited for the little croc feeding but i believe that area was closed. Also the upper floor with a sign that said "crocs and turtles" was closed too. I would have thought perhaps with a few attractions closed maybe entry should be a bit cheaper to accommodate

Great position in the middle of the CBD. Not just Crocodiles, as they have a large display of real snakes, lizards, turtles, fish etc. You can get a photo taken with a small croc Cafe on site as well. If you want to do the "Cage of Death" with the big Crocs, make sure you book ahead.

Awesome place to take kids for the day. Has heaps of shows, and interactive stuff for them to enjoy while learning. Staff are friendly. Pass is for the whole day, so if you’d like to leave and come back later on in the day, they give you a wristband that permits re entry. Big croc feeding shows are great, and very educational.

The kids had a fantastic time looking at the crocodiles, fish, snakes and lizards. The staff were very friendly and interacted with the kids. Make sure to get to the shows. Kids and adults alike loved patting the snake and blue tongue lizard and getting photos with the baby crocodile.

Had a great time here. The staff were very informative and willing to answer my questions. There is more here than I expected, when you think you've seen all of it, it keeps going. Well structured show times make your time there very efficient. Probably due for some enclosure Reno's.

Clean, professional, effective stewardship and informative. The only suggestion is the wish for the venue to be larger to accommodate more Crocs. Safe kids friendly venue. Winter time is best due to heat and sun. Half day would suffice with regular feeding times. Experience full. Centrally located between two bus stop.

This was a fun place to visit. It is basically Darwin's zoo/aquarium. Had lots of Crocs on display as well as many reptiles. You could also grab a beer while there which was nice. Definitely a good place to take kids as well

Huge crocs to see and lots of smaller ones too. Can hold a baby croc for free but they don’t let you take a photo, they take it and 1 photo was $26! Can hold other reptiles for free & take pics (a snake & blue tongue lizard). Croc show good, you move around the croc enclosures and watch a few of them get fed then you get to feed the smaller crocs yourself which was good fun. The ‘pool’ to swim in and watch the crocs on the other side of the glass looked dirty so we didn’t bother. Located in the main street of Darwin so easy access, small cafe, not overly big but worth a visit. You can get discounts online (Groupon) or I saw a 20% off voucher on one of the main Darwin tourist maps/brochures.

It’s one of those places you would be silly not to go to! Cliché of Darwin, perhaps yes, but trust us you will enjoy the reptilian experience especially Bruce the gigantic cheeky Croc he is, there’s plenty of wildlife to see and a place for anybody to visit. Feeding experience, we recommend that one!

Great place in the heart of Darwin city for those who don’t want to venture out. Family friendly and I suggest doing the VIP private tour and timing it with the other shows. Get some pro photos taken as well. Do the cage experience as well. Ensure you book early and time it to not disappoint. Only feedback is the glass for viewing fish and croc should be non reflective so you can see better.

Amazing venue and very very well setup… thoroughly recommend coming here if you are in Darwin.. easy to spend 2 hours or 8! Enjoying the interesting and educational shows. Very good value for money in our opinion

We paid extra to do the VIP tour and would highly recommend. Our guide Georgia was very knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful. We got to feed a crocodile and hold a baby, as well as hold snakes and reptiles. One of the best reptile displays I've seen. Definitely worth paying for the VIP experience.

Excellent and educational VIP tour, well worth the money to have a guide that you can ask questions, everything from holding small Crocodiles, snakes and other reptiles to feeding Burt the Croc from the feeding platform.

We spend about 2 hours there. It's not a big place but it took us a while as we joined the different talks/sessions that they had which was enjoyable. Many crocodiles and reptiles! Good outing for the kids.

Good range of reptiles! About 5 large sized crocs and then a range of smaller ones and even some only 6 months old! Enclosures and exhibits were a bit dated but still worth a look!

  • 4/5 Celia C. 2 years ago on Google
This place was great and saw some huge crocodiles and loved the reptile room. Would have been nice if there were a couple of water fountains around to fill up your water bottles so people arn’t forced to buy a water as it does get quite hot/humid walking around.

My word!! I went here thinking ah well I'll have a look at some Crocs, while away some time, ended up staying longer than I planned. The crocs though in the main enclosures.... They look like CGI , at first I thought them to be fake but once they started twichting and stuff... Could believe how close they look to the Dino's... If you want the dive experience you gotta book months ahead coz when I asked they were booked out for the next two months... The reptile house was fantastic too. The staff working there are so friendly and give you so much info on what they feed em etc.... Highly recommended

OH WOW!! Highly worth the informative visit to learn more about some of our amazing animals. I highly recommend doing the cage of death!! It's awesome and you are completely safe with a backup plan (just incase)..I felt very privileged to be so close to such an amazing animal.

👍👍 A great interactive experience which talks you through the bombing of Darwin and the formation of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
