Well located, at least for us. It was literally 1 min to where I had to go, 10 min walk to Coles. And walking distance to the waterfront. The breakfast was alright with the price, the room was sea view, and you will enjoy the view on the top floors, you could also sit on the balcony the whole day long, of course I'm not sure about wet seasons. There is an outdoor swimming pool on the sixth floor as well as a tiny gym which does the job, not breaking your gym habit. In the room you have towels, shampoo and other stuff, there are no slippers though, so make sure you have your own. The AC and fan were working well. The bed sheets were clean. I didn't use the room service so no comment on that.

Check in was easy, very friendly and helpful receptionist. Rooms getting a bit old, smell very damp and musty. Location is great with a good view from the Harbour View rooms.

Close proximity to shopping and heaps of parking for hotel guest. Only minus is it advertised a one bedroom but really it's a studio. Bedroom don't have a door so strictly speaking it's not a bedroom. Bathroom in this so called 1 bedroom is really small. To put in perspective I am 6 foot and have to sit sideways on the toilet coz the washing machine and dryer are all squeezed into this small bathroom. There were ants in the kitchen and couldn't figure out where they keep coming from. Staff were friendly but werent very understanding when I asked for a invoice copy due to my company paying with MY company credit card but staff refused to provide me a copy because their explanation is they can't provide to a 'third party'. Don't really understand their logic. If I have the choice I wouldn't stay there again.

We had such a lovely time here. The apartment should be called mini apartments. But it still was very nice. The lady on reception that checked us in & also out was very pleasant. O.A.K.S Australian Kitchen has scrumptious food and coffee was very good. I recommend the Continental breakfast. The view from our harbour view apartment was so beautiful and that Darwin sunset unbelievably.

Our stay was only OK. We stayed 5 nights in total. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (after 2pm). Had to wait over an hour. When we got to our room there was only 2 towels for 3 guests, and no bath mat. Was told the room would be serviced daily, but in reality it was only serviced once, on request. Gym was good, but no towels supplied (must have been a towel shortage or something?) Balcony was great, beautiful views of the harbour. Short stroll to everything, great location.

Massive property, reminds me of those Meriton blocks in Sydney but better. Stayed here overnight and did a bit of sight seeing. The location of the property is fantastic and everything is a stone's throw, bit you also got the option of renting out those electric scooters around the corner. The room, not really a room but a studio apartment was quite big and had for fantastic views. The property has got a gym, swimming pool and a restaurant/bar on the ground floor. Great stay, highly recommended

I have to say that after checking in I was really surprised by all of the bad reviews of this hotel. My room was big and it was spotless with a good size bathroom. It had everything that I needed and the air conditioning worked. Check in and check out were easy and on arriving I was notified that the pool was being renovated but that they had alternative arrangements if I needed it. I used the gym and it was fine. I like a scalding hot shower but had not issues with the water temperature or pressure. The location was fantastic.

Stayed here in 2019 and it was great so it was a no brainer that I'd stay again. Was on level 21 this time (can't remember what level I was on last time but it was 2br apt vs 1br this time). Room had a horrible musty smell (other reviews have mentioned this). Mould in the shower. Quite a bit of general wear and tear in the room, like rust patches here and there. I paid $300/night for this (with no housekeeping). I won't stay here again. Such a shame because I loved it in 2019.

Stayed for a week, and would have no problem staying again. Staff at Reception were very friendly and helpful. We had a Harbour View room, no housekeeping, though they did come in halfway through the week, which was a nice surprise. The room had everything you needed, the bed was very comfortable, loved the shower. The complimentary shampoo, Conditioners, etc, were good, also shower cap and mini nail file and cotton buds pack. Kitchen canoe with coffee, tea and green tea sachets. Air con and fans were a lifesaver. Balcony is large, with the best view. Only two minor gripes-better quality loo roll would be good, save money too as wouldn’t need to use so Much, and also air con turned on in the lifts would be very good. Highly recommend a stay here, the Oaks Restaurant and bar downstairs is also Worth a visit, had dinner there, was delicious, and I fell in love with the breakfast Yoghurt Trifle!

It's a decent clean hotel with good facilities in a great location, great views from the room on 25th floor, just feel like some of the little things not great considering the price point... Only one bottle of water on arrival, no bottled water provided on subsequent days, room service overpriced and very basic food provided in take away containers with a higher "delivery charge" than uber eats, boring tea and coffee selection and no complimentary biscuits or anything like that, no tissues provided in the room, very mid toiletries... It's a nice hotel just feel like this lack of finishing touches let it down for the price you pay.

Really great service, the staff are very helpful and efficient. On site restaurant was good and food arrived promptly. The rooms however, smelt like mould. I stayed in two different rooms on level 23. Views are nice, and in room facilities good.

Here for a couple of days. Nice walk down to the waterfront, about 10 minutes easy to The Precinct enjoyed dinner and beer. The hotel staff are happy to help you with any questions you may have. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is part of our deal but Continental only. If you want a cooked breakfast and coffee you have to pay for it. We have a marvellous view from our room on the 18th floor.

Hotel is clean and tidy, continental breakfast is ok. Not keen on tall buildings, but that is my problem. Staff very friendly and helpful. Especially on arrival, being told, my booking had been cancelled. Never really got to the bottom of that issue. Thank you to Aleisha.

We enjoyed our 5 day stay at the The Oaks. The apartment not only provided us with more space but also kitchen and laundry facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. There is a Cafe restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. This comes in very handy when you are going on day trips out of Darwin eg Kakadu or Litchfield, because it is open until 9pm. Rooms with Harbourside views are also good and include nice balconies.

It is not what you see online. Random person walked into my room as his key card open the door my key card stoped working twice and lifts take ages to get onto to because staff of the hotel is using the lifts way too much… for what you pay is DEFINITELY not worth…

The location of this hotel was good, close to beaches, restaurants and family activities but the hotel no longer looks like the photos. Quite a mis-leading experience. Rooms are really dated and quite dirty, smelly and quite uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you can find others in the area.

Very fresh rooms, nice and clean. Got early check-in as well as complimentary breakfast, great! Nice views over the water and a good size pool to cool of in.

Perfect place to stay in Darwin, close to shops, supermarkets, and the mall. Great place to unwind after a fast tour up the centre. Washer and dryer in the bathroom as well as a kitchenette. Perfect for fixing a light meal and enjoying the views

The best ever hotel I have found. What you need it is there. Even getting stuff from cars to the hotel room is friendly. Park in front of the hotels get the trolley, and pack. The reception staf is so nice and friendly. And what I found amazing was that they offer my son and me cold water. It felt like in our Indian culture, when someone comes, we offer a drink. The lift is a maze for us but it is fun to go from one floor to another to find the car. I have learnt my lesson take photos of the car and the lift entrance. The room was amazing. I stayed in a service apartment . Every appliances work, and I love their washing machine and dryer. They are so quiet when they do their job. A few times we thought it was not working. There was a fridge which was cooling and the food stayed cold. Bedding with tV and the floor clean from dust. The sitting room view was amazing also. We spent most of the time in sitting room and out in the verandah. Well, we are coming back again. Thanks for booking again and giving me some discount. It is better to call and book with them. Enjoy our fun time in oak

If I were to choose accommodation again in Darwin I wouldn't stay at Oaks. The front desk staff could do with some customer service training. No apologies for the stuff around of the rooms or acknowledgement. Rooms smelt like mould but were clean. Only upside is the location.

Okay facilities. Do not lose anything here, the staff will not help you! I was told that the shoes I left in the room at check out had not been received by housekeeping, despite multiple different responses. There was little regard for my belongings and it was an extremely disappointing experience.

27th March. Just home from a week in Darwin. Stayed at Oaks Elan in a 2 bedroom apartment. The room was lovely and clean with a good view of the harbour and close to the city.

Had a great stay, rooms were good size and very clean, close to CBD and other attractions. Breakfast needs more options for food allergies people and a airport shuttle would be good.

Anand and the team warmly welcomed us and exceeded all expectations we had! The rooms very absolutely perfect - literally no complaints at all, the breakfast is exactly as described (with the option to buy add ons if you like), location fine, pool not bad but a bit like a warm bath (not in a good way haha but still a nice to have). Sadly Darwin has a lot of social problems and we didn’t feel overly safe outside of the hotel after dark which really shocked me but obviously not the fault of the hotel. Parap village markets are a must visit on Saturday. If visiting in November look up the laksa competition as some of the ones we tried were truly delicious!!

Centrally located and with a 24 hr front desk check in wasn't a problem at 3am. The two bed room apartment was clean and was as expected. Fully equipped kitchen and utilities except for a microwave. Balcony with city view was useful and helped give a spacious feel. Daily service was more than we expected. Having a restaurant for all meals was an advantage compared to most apartment stays. Prices were reasonable except dor the drinks which were rather expensive. Overall a good stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights, was an OK experience. The free breakfast was nice but my room was a bit of a let down. One of my aircons was broken; My bathroom sink had a bit of a leak and the shower pressure was nice but it'd end up getting my whole bathroom floor covered in a big puddle of water. Also a bit disappointed in the pool being under maintenance but the waterfront wavepool/lagoon made up for it. (P.S: I had a nice view of the city)

Stayed here a few times on business trips, the staff are friendly, customer service is above and beyond, couldn't fault it. All the rooms I’ve had are clean and the beds are comfy. Close to all the cities amenities. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel apartment was great, balcony had lovely views and central location. Breakfast was fine and staff nice. The only issues we had was the pool was out of use for our 5 night stay which if we had been told prior we might have gone elsewhere.

This is a great hotel! I didn't stay here, but my friends did, and I wish I did too! The rooms are great. My friends were on the 14th floor with a beautiful view of the ocean (which they didn't have to pay extra for!). Any problems have been minor and dealt with swiftly by friendly staff. Easy walk to the waterfront, Darwin Conference Centre, Smith Street mall, and woollies. Next time I visit Darwin, I will be staying here!!!

NO HOT WATER. The hotel was clean and staff were always very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was great, however the rooms are looking old and tired, like they need an update. Small holes and cracks in the walls in many places. There's no hot water in the showers, and the staff say it's due to the water pressure. There are reviews from a few weeks ago saying the same thing so this doesn't seem to be a new problem. Considering every other high rise hotel everywhere has hot water, surely this is something that can be fixed. I think the hotel gets away with it because Darwin is hot enough to make-do with a luke-warm shower, but be aware before booking!

Totally recommend Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel. It’s staff are so great, always with smile and helping you is no problem. The views are so beautiful if you lucky enough to get a Harbour view, which we did. I would call the Apartments a mini apartment. But, it’s got everything you need. Staff cleaning are thorough and so polite ( I found) . We had continental breakfast each day and it was very nice. But you can order a hot breakfast if you prefer. Staying at Oaks Darwin you are Central to all shopping and if you like a nice walk, just take a walk along the waterfront. Another beautiful place in Darwin. So if your looking for a nice stay, Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel . Great , clean and wonderful staff.

Booked in for 2 nights accommodation through work, added 2 extra nights to the booking. I do not recommend the 1 bedroom serviced apartment or hotel for several reasons: •Checking in was overly complicated, took at least 15 minutes to organise the room, no trolleys available for self transporting items to room •The room was meant to have housekeeping included, it was never done. We had do not disturb up from 12.30-2.30pm as our child naps, other than that, they had access all morning and afternoon. They didn’t even come back or contact us to do the housekeeping, I had to keep calling about it •The space between the shower door and basin was less than 30cm, it was so hard to get into the shower •The shower drain floods the bathroom floor, as the drain doesn’t cover the entire distance where the water goes - really silly design •I had to ask for fresh towels to clean up the bathroom floor, the old used ones sat wet on the floor for days as they didn’t do any housekeeping •The water from the shower and the space to get into the shower is a massive safety concern, especially when you have a toddler •The bed was just 2 single beds pushed together and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on •The TV remote didn’t work in the living area •No cot provided for our toddler •Ended up calling for housekeeping to be done on our last day, which happened around 3.00pm and we checked out at 10.00pm. They took away the towels on the floor but didn’t leave replacements We have not enjoyed our stay and will not be returning. Feedback will be given to our employers regarding future hotel recommendations.

Very clean. Quite clinical. No AC in reception and lifts are unbearable as no AC and you wait a long time for them. Room was a little musky. Pool freezing cold. Wouldn’t pay full price for this accomodation.

Hotel, I have no complaints but the parking with a hatchback hire car, not a good idea. Some areas in the parking they have wooden boxes up high enough to hit the top of the car when reversing. Parking sensors don't detect them and the lights in carpark very dull. Would be decent of staff to tell you about the boxes than find out about it the costly way $500 in excess

  • 2/5 Tass K. 2 years ago on Google
Overall clean and great service. I was mostly unimpressed with the pool area. No sun hits the entire area throughout the day. This was a waste for me. The pool area is empty for this reason Great if you hate sun or for kids.I had to go to the waterfront everyday. Also as a female, there is no mirror in the room only a bathroom mirror that’s so high up. I won’t be staying here again.

Friendly, professional staff who were very helpful when I had to move rooms so I didn't spend hours in the lobby for check in time. Spotlessly clean, great harbour views and well located. I will stay here again when next in Darwin. The restaurant has a nice menu and the coffee is great.

We were booked for a one bedroom harbour view apartment and stayed three nights. On the plus side the views and balcony was a great feature, central location was good, and we generally received very good service. Not so good was the cramped conditions of the bedroom with very little space either side of the bed, and the bathroom with washing machine & dryer leaving barely enough room to use the toilet.
