Great park. Clean & tidy, clean amenities & pool. We had a fox terrier & parked out in the new section we thought it was great. Roomy sites. We had shade. Yes trees still growing but Rome wasn't built in a day. It's going to be super nice once trees grow.

We have enjoyed a great week at the Hidden Valley Caravan Park. Awesome location for all our sightseeing. Kids loved the pool. All The staff where super friendly and helpful. Toilets blocks clean and tidy. We stayed in the latest section, so no trees but can tell how beautiful it will be in the future. Only small inconvenience was the lack of working washing machines, you had to be up early to beat some of those old ducks!! Look forward to checking out the park again in years to come!!

Very convenient location. Close to everything, crocodile park and shops. The place was nice, the jets flew pass every morning and they were Very Loud! We booked a 1 bedroom and a powered ensuit. The room was nice thou I had to clean the benches, sweep floors and fold away the rugs as they were dirty. Besides this it was nice. Affordable.

Caravan park is average but the service and organisation is very poor. We were staying on an unpowered site and went out for a meal - when we came back after hours there was someone in our site who had been put there. When I went to tell the ladies at the front desk the next morning they put the onus on me, suggesting it was our fault, offering no compensation for the experience. Extremely disappointed in this caravan park and would suggest you stay elsewhere in Darwin.

I have certain quality standards when I think of Big 4. Half of the park would meet these standards (just) and the other half absolutely would not. Half of the park is a tree-less waste on the border of some kind of huge construction site. No shade. Lots of dust and because of no shade it feels very close to your neighbour. We moved from this part of the park to the older part which has lots of grass and trees. We also felt ripped as we only needed an unpowered site and were pushed into a powered site because the unpowered site was too hard to find by ourselves after 5pm.... also why does reception close at 5pm? Isn't this the peak time when people are turning up? We did have a quick look at the other caravan parks in Darwin and they didn't seem much more attractive. If the others were better I would have given this one 1 or 2 stars. Oh, this one is very close to the motor door complex so excellent engine noise on the days it's operating

The place was nice but not worth the price. Very standard rooms, no sound proofing at all. Everyone could hear my girlfriend and myself making love. The room smelled like mould and there were lots of derelict people hanging around. Probably avoid this place if you can....

I’ve never felt the need to leave halfway through a booking at a Caravan Park until staying at Big4 Hidden Valley. It’s mind blowing that you’d be charged $100+ a night for a powered site that is majority dirt/weed coverage, without any shade, along a dirt (dusty) road and with a drain pipe at the rear of the site. When booking over the phone at the start of May, we explained that we’d be a group of school students in hiking tents and what we were told, was not what we were given. Even at check-in, my colleague was advised that we’d been allocated a ‘grassy’ site, asked if we could downsize to one site as there might be walk-ins, not offered any information (map/park info) and told to come back in the morning to fix up our payment (we arrived at 4pm and there was no one else in the waiting bay). It was only when we challenged the above that we were told we could have ‘upgraded’ our site to shade and grass for an extra $5-10. After already smoking us so much, we’d have happily paid the extra. The site was completely inappropriate as per our request. It was a safety hazard to have our students in that environment/heat. Even we we advised we were pulling the plug and leaving at 12noon, we were still charged for a second night… even with sites free around us indicating the park wasn’t at capacity. I’ll certainly be looking to take my business for future trips to the Top End elsewhere.

EDIT: powered site $48p/n no shade. Need to pay extra for shade. Need to ask as this isn't available online. Was given a site with absolutely no shade in 39 degrees. Site was small, no room for car and camper together. They say they are waiting for trees to grow but these sites really shouldn't be used until there is more shade or reserve for largest air con units. Pool was unpopular. Bathrooms ask you to mop the floor after your shower, because there is poor drainage and the floor floods. Receptionist was nice. In the flight path to the airport. Noisy from about 8am, though this was exacerbated by current military training exercise.

Good sized rooms, nice air con. Bathroom for our cabin was separate, but it was just outside and locked for privacy and security. Only issue, for us, is its distance from the CBD, about 10kms away, so not easily walked.

Another great holiday at Hidden Valley Great Cafe, clean amenities, friendly staff. Love that we can store the van here as well when we visit Bali or Kakadu. Big shout out to Kim who was very helpful when we first arrived late one afternoon. Best park in Darwin.

We arrived after hours and a maintenance man on a bike booked us in for 1 night on an unpowered site. It was $50, which is way overpriced. We were woken up at about 6am by construction directly next to our site. When I gave them feedback as leaving the lady at the counter was quick to interrupt me and say, 'you were told about the construction'. Actually no, we weren't and that doesn't take away from the fact $50 per night for an unpowered site is a complete rip off, let alone when you are right next to a massive construction site and woken up by machinery at 6am

Our second stay at this lovely park on a powered ensuite site. The pool was a welcome part of each day to cool off and the Cafe (seasonal opening) provided great food and coffee and had wonderful staff.

Great time had at the park, we stayed in the Palm Cabin and had a very enjoyable time overlooking the pool area and surrounded by palms. Rooms very clean and air con worked, a must if visiting Darwin. Midgees are a pest in Darwin so bring your repellant, they'll be there. Pleasant and helpful service at the front desk with an easy check in and checkout.

We were anxious about staying here due to the negative reviews! Well, all I can say is if you choose to stay near an airport…. Don’t piss and moan about the planes! The park was nice, clean amenities and good coffee food van. Two pools, what more could you ask for. Close to the city and attractions, give this place a go. 👍🏻

Alot of sand flies about. Bring ya repellent Reception is quick and easy. Didn't have any issues at the park. The pool needs a clean tho they have no problem running the leaf blower around even when there is people swimming.

Big group of us stayed 3 nights across a number of cabins. The staff were amazing - greeting us with smiles and accomodating every request. Great facilities. Clean, tidy and the middle pub is up the road, serving awesome meals. Also cafe on site, serving coffee, bacon and egg rolls etc. Some cabins are next to a secondary arterial road, so some minor road noise.

Lovely park with great amenities and wonderful staff! We stayed here for two weeks on an ensuite site and really enjoyed it. The park is well located with quick access to either Darwin and the Northern Suburbs or Palmerston and the Rural Area. Highly recommended!

Hi Dan, my recent holiday with you was aweful: you failed to warn me you were booking us next to an active construction site. You neglected to warn me to cover up and use repellent, but clearly had an established biting midge( sandfly) problem on site. During my stay with you, I suffered 70+ bites to my legs with allergic reaction. Twice-when I booked, and upon arrival, there was no mention of the construction going on! So we were subjected to horrible industrial noise for 12 hours from 630am daily, it's dust gusting over our campsite, and midge (sandfly) attacks day in, day out. Then, criticised for putting up with it for so long when we'd had enough! A far cry from your misleading and glossy advertising, coupled with dubious commentary that's it all not your fault. Well, it is your responsibility.

Good caravan park. Clean amenities. Good pool. Great Cafe. Nice pub, just up the road. Reception staff were great and managed to fit us in for a fortnight.

We stayed at the Big4 Berrimah in early August and it was one worst caravan sites I have been too. First up we were next to a construction site which was working from Monday to Saturday from 0630 until 1900. The noise was horrendous and you could not escape from it unless you left to go out. Secondly there was a huge amount of dust coming from the construction site which got into everything. Thirdly the sandflies was huge nuisance. Staff at the Big 4 should have informed of the sandfly problem so we could have protected ourselves. Finally we wanted to move to elsewhere but we had to fight tooth and nail to get a refund because of ther 14day cancellation rule

Came in just to have a browse around the shop as I’m working on the new overpass. Was hoping to find a crossword book and had exhausted all the fuel stations in the vicinity. The man that served me went out of his way to find me one. Great service. Many thanks

Not only are the rooms excellent quality, it is a bargain price at this time of year ! Excellent location for me in between Darwin and Palmerston but what makes the best impression for me is the manager Dani, so warm and welcoming ! Thank you, will recommend !

I cannot even being to express how accommodating and incredible Mel and Dani were! We had originally book another accomodation which was awful and had to make a last minute change. They set us up without a hick and let us have an early check in. We stay for 2 weeks with them and wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else. The rooms were perfect and the aircon was an amazing break from the hot NT air, the pool was amazing too. On several occasions Dani helped to sort us out with things to do and was more than generous with what she gave us. Couldn’t asked for a better place to spend 2 weeks. Hidden Valley made our stay in the NT 1000% better. Would definitely stay here every time and recommend it to anyone going and looking for a family fun, welcoming place to stay. Massive thumbs up from me and an even bigger thank you the staff at Hidden Valley for making us feel so at home.

Very helpful crew, love the ambiance, hopefully they can allow pet owner to stay for a bit more longer however they’re still in trial-basis of how long pet owner and pet can stay in the caravan park. Good area near the Darwin city. Thank you for extending our stay in the park as we’ve just moved from Perth to Darwin and still looking for a decent rental/house place. I know they are too busy however the ammenities at the lower ground area seem to be forgotten maintain with cleanliness and supplies, it needs TLC though it has a modern ammenities. There was no warning of midges attacks however they were helpful to spray on our van area but you cannot stop them from biting you. I wish they will put a bigger pool at the bottom caravan sites, upgrade their laundry with more washing machines and dryer. Need to upgrade their play area it was not really for engaging kids when you have one, good for couple without kids or retirees.

Very happy with the unit, the staff went out of their way to make our stay here a great one, much appreciated, the facilities here are fantastic, as is the location, the whole site is a well maintained park, we very much hope to come back here again on our future journeys.

Big powered site - ours had ample afternoon shade opposite the facilities block with camp kitchen - facilities modern and clean - large roomy showers - pool a short walk - plenty of green grass

I don't normally do reviews until after I've left, but I love my massive grass site and had the most amazeballs ribs from the cage for dinner. Top job guys!

Park itself is ok but location is a nightmare. Between two highways and within approach lane of Darwin airport it is very loud, especially during the night.

A busy caravan park during this June to August peak period so you must book well in advance. Have a full range of sites, catering for a range of vehicle sizes, with many Ensuites. Have a number of cabins. Has a Cafe serving breakfast and dinner, providing a good feed. Location is quite handy to Darwin city and key surrounding places of interest, including shops.

Stayed here for a family funeral - absolutely loved it. The cabin we stayed in was cozy and tidy. Customer service was at its absolute best and totally loved the help we got from Danni when we needed to extend and then had to change our booking back! Thank you for making a sad time bearable.

Booked in on campside. Unfortunately it was beside the dump point. Nobody told before. 66$ /Night for an extremely stinking place.. Thanks for that! By the way: if people leave until 10am, don't close the showers/toilets at 9am for cleaning.

Due to a site mix up we were moved to a dust bowl site with zero shade and earth moving trucks only metres from our motorhome. We were still charged the same rate. So disgusted we cut our stay short by several days. The management should fully disclose the details of how poor the sites (in and around 442) are and discount them heavily. Our neighbours all agreed we had the worst spots in the park.

My second stay at this park. Love the peaceful surroundings. The staff are wonderful. Great restaurant. Best breakfast I had in any accommodation. I will definitely book on my next visit.

Book in for just the one night, with a late check in and a early check out, so no contact with Staff except by phone and email, Happy to say all went smoothly, and the facilities were great, room was clean and fresh over all good, thank you and I'm sure I will use the Hidden Valley again, oh!! And the prices very reasonable , it it a little out of the town center.

Unfortunately the noise from what possibly appears to be a Speedway is preventing me from sleeping again. Had very interrupted sleep last night and wish we haven't already paid for a 3rd. Otherwise I've got no complaints but wish I'd known for the price

Had two nights at the hidden valley. The staff was amazing and especially out of season it’s not that busy. We called after hours and we received help to check in within a couple of minutes. Bathroom and toilets were clean as well as the kitchen. Furthermore the staff helped us putting more air in one of the wheels on our car! Highly recommend this place above all other big4 that we have been visited on the east coast.

Best and safe location to stay in Darwin and drive just 10 mins to enjoy all attractions or watch the huge sunsets from the beaches. All staff are so helpful. A big thanks to the groundsmen who are sprinkling continuously to keep the grass spot on underfoot on the many sites. Thanks guys!
