For the price per night & 4 star rating we expected so much more. The bed is tiny , the bathroom small, the amenities tired and not that clean. The couch was super uncomfortable and dining chairs not much better. The toilet paper 1 ply!! Service only once every 3 days and only included new towels, no cleaning! On the plus side the pool is lovely and the roof top bar was a bonus with great views

We loved all aspects of the Zen Quarter. The rooms were large and clean with a great view over the Harbour. The staff were very friendly from reception to the cleaners and cafe/bar staff. The Rooftop Bar was amazing as was the pool and we will certainly spread the word. In fact, some family members are staying at your hotel in July.

Loved our time here. Staff very friendly and very helpful. It was a great stay. Free bus was operating to take us to the Waterfront precinct where there was a public swimming area with some good shopping with plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms were suites with cooking facilities, dishwasher and washing machine and lovely large balcony. Good sized pool on the 3rd floor along with the breakfast room. Breakfast (included) was terrific with choices of hot food including eggs Benny, big brekky as well as vegetarian and cold options. One of the best bits was the rooftop bar with amazing views and a great place to enjoy a drink with free snacks and watch Darwin’s great sunsets. We’ll definitely be back.

Welcoming and comfortable apartment with all facilities .., and a harbour view … fantastic! The cafe, pool and the inviting rooftop bar (with 360 deg views) aware the icing on the top of a great stay. Watching the sunset from the rooftop was beautiful. The staff are all helpful. Well done to all at Zen Quarter!

Was a 5 minute walk to town and 10 minute walk to the waterfront. Great views from rooftop bar, free nibbles after 3pm. Great coffee from Cafe on level 3, near to pool. Apartments had dishwasher, washing machine, iron etc.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We stayed in a Harborview room and were not disappointed with the view from the room. The kitchen is clean and well supplied with everything needed and there is also a washer/dryer in the room. Small two seater comfy lounge and the bed was also very comfortable. We both slept well. We ventured up to Level 16 - the Rooftop Bar. The view is spectacular, the atmosphere was friendly and there was live entertainment on a couple of nights. We enjoyed the peace and quiet at night after touring/sightseeing during the day. Highly recommend a stay here!!

Excellent stay here at the Zen. The room had everything we needed to make our own food. The rooftop bar is a real treat with views over the ocean. Close to town and clean, this accomodation was perfect. The pool was lovely- so nice to lie out on deck chairs in the sun. The night porter was super friendly and welcomed us when we arrived in the middle of the night.

My wife and I stayed at the Ramada Suites Zen Quarter and were both pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed our stay. The location was fantastic, very close to both the waterfront and the city. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and the hotel facilities were outstanding. The gym is decked out with everything you need to get a good cardio or full body workout. Right outside you can slip into the 28-meter infinity pool which is always perfect temperature. Breakfast at the Horizen Cafe was lovely and we sat outside and enjoyed it in the beautiful Darwin morning sun before starting our day. The highlight for us had to be the rooftop bar. Watching the Darwin sunset from the rooftop bar became a ritual. We met some wonderful people including the staff who were all so friendly and attentive. This was our second time to Darwin and the first at Ramada Zen, they really did make us feel like family and that is a credit to the owners, management and staff. We really could not have asked for anything more and are already planning a trip back next year.

Great staff, great breakfast and very good (free) snacks available at Rooftop Bar each afternoon and evening. Must mention Lily, who manages the breakfast kitchen. Her very friendly and smiling disposition is very 'warming' and enhances the experience. Zen is well situated to town centre and Stokes Wharf facilities....short walk to both. Good facities and very clean, well presented rooms.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any special requests. The room was clean with a great view. The rooftop bar had amazing views and was definitely value for money having a variety of free snacks available. The location was ideal being so close to the city. I would recommend the place to anyone and would definately come back.

We love staying at the Zen Ramada appartments. The staff are great, the breakfast is delicious and with so many choices. The views from the rooms are wonderful from sunsets/sunrises to tropical storms and the roof top bar is a must to start the evening. The rooms are very well equipped and the beds super comfy. Location is ideal. Nothing is missing!!!

Fantastic hotel. We stayed for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is a great base for tours etc. While not in the centre of things it was easy to get to where you wanted to go. The hotel itself had a great rooftop bar including complimentary snacks and a cafe for breakfast - which was outstanding. Staff were so friendly and happy to assist you in any way. If I’m ever back in Darwin I will definitely stay here again.

Great location and good large clean rooms! Any issues found were promptly resolved! Fire alarms at 3.30 am wasn’t fun but hey that’s life! Breakfast was well done! Rooftop bar has great views and cold beer! Would stay here again! Easy walking distance to waterfront and rest of city!

This is an amazing place to stay at in Darwin and probably the best. The night porter was super friendly and very welcoming and seemed to love his job which was so nice to see. The rooms are perfectly equipped with everything needed and were clean and comfortable. The breakfast restaurant was excellent for both food and service. The roof top bar provides the best 360 degrees view of Darwin and is a must see. Being based at the Ramada Zen helped to make our stay in Darwin even more memorable. Thanks for letting us stay at your terrific hotel. We will be back for sure.

Over the past 4 years We have travelled to Darwin regularly. We have stayed at many different motels during this period including the Zen Quarter. From this experience we can compare service, quality, convenience and comfort. We do highly recommend Zen Quarter in all aspects for accommodation in Darwin. Management and staff are friendly, respectful and considerate. The rooms are spacious, excellent set out, clean and comfortable. The facilities, cafe, pool, gym, car park and of course roof top bar at 16th floor are excellent Enjoy your stay as our friends have the same opinion

We are staying here in a one bedroom apartment for approximately 8 weeks until we can move into our house. So far this is our experience: Location is fantastic. Short walk to Darwin Waterfront or you can hire a scooter - there are plenty. Feels secure. Car parking within the building - so far always a park available. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Upon check in there is a fridge where you can help yourself to a welcome drink or snack. If you require any assistance, they arrive promptly. The apartment has a great view. Spacious living area with desk, lounge and dining table. Kitchen is stocked with plates/cups/utensils;pots/pans; kettle;toaster;full size fridge;washing machine;dishwasher (needs a proper clean inside); microwave. Small bedroom with cupboard storage, shelves; comfortable bed. Good aircon (filters were clean) and fans. Unable to sit outside on balcony unless the aircon is turned off due to the heat coming from the unit. WIFI is reasonably fast. Cleanliness: the general building and grounds are well kept. The Unit is surface clean but requires a deep clean. Staying here for so long it grosses me out to see the grime on and in the kitchen cupboards and bathroom and splatters on the walls throughout. I had to put all the cutlery and plates through the dishwasher as they weren’t clean. There are questionable stains on the futon - so we don’t want to sit on it. Bathroom: The toilet seat is smaller than the bowl which is uncomfortable and hard to keep clean. We did ask for it to be replaced but they only adjusted it so there wasn’t a gap - that’s right there was a gap between the seat and the bowl 🤦‍♀️ Housekeeping do come to replace towels regularly but in the 12 days we have been here, the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned by them (just me). There is a lot of dust, so I sweep everyday but it really needs a vacuum. I was hoping for a break from cleaning but I can’t go that long! If you require dishwasher tabs etc you can obtain these free from reception. There is a cupboard next to the lifts where you can place recycling and a garbage chute so you don’t have to wait for housekeeping to empty the bin. There is a laundry clothes rack and pegs provided for you to hang clothes. The safe was locked when we arrived and when they came to fix it the battery blew up in her face. She said it would have to be replaced but we are still waiting. Breakfast at Horizen cafe: the staff are excellent, friendly and efficient. The meals arrive very promptly. Coffee is excellent. We have utilized the $22 a day pp included everyday bar one. This was because the menu had Lunch on the back so we thought to use that. We discovered that they do not in fact do lunch, so should change their menu’s! Overall, the food options are good - We have tried almost every option. The poached eggs are done like flat little saucers, ok but not like proper poached eggs. Most items appear to be pre prepared. The avocado stack with mushrooms- the mushrooms were from a can. Apart from that it was tasty. Pool is nice, in the AM it is in sun, arvo it is in shade. Variety of pool lounges, pool noodles available. Towels are obtained on check in for the length of your stay. Very quiet in morning when tourists are out on tours etc. Gym is very small - one treadmill and a few weights. Rooftop Bar has a Fantastic view with seating options on all sides of the building. They have a free Selection of snacks- I wouldn’t call them Canapés haha: fried rice, little red sausages, chips, crackers, dip etc. A nice touch. Summary: I recommend and happy with our choice. It’s great value for money with the inclusions and very family friendly. For Management: For long stays, I would recommend Housekeeping clean the rooms more thoroughly and organize a time/schedule with the occupant to ensure the room is serviced regularly. (And we can then make ourselves scarce)

It was pleasant full stay for me and staffs are friendly. I liked their breakfast menu and parking facility is the good one. The local guide book and city map is really helpful, I never seen this kind of guide map in other hotels. Value for money.

This hotel has a very good management. Everything runs like clockwork. The staff are very friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble, and the guests are very satisfied. Very well located, a very short walk to the city or Darwin Waterfront Park with it's fantastic wave pool. The rooms are large and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The breakfast room has excellent choice and quality and reasonable prices. The rooftop bar in the evenings is the place to go. Wonderful 360 degree views, great bar with reasonably priced drinks and free nibbles. Large TV screens and on some nights, live music. We spent five most enjoyable nights, only wish it was longer. We will return.

I stayed 1 night prior to boarding a cruise to the Kimberley. Staff were efficient, courteous and polite. The rooms and public areas were spotlessly clean. I was disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open for dinner particularly given that other restaurants were quite a distance walk away and they were downhill (which meant a walk uphill on the return!). I did have a couple of issues which were dealt with very quickly and professionally by the manager for which I was extremely grateful.

The spacious apartment was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my 6 night stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place. It was so good having a washing machine and from the 12th floor I got to witness Darwin's gorgeous sunset. The breakfast was yummy, made to order and staff very cheerful and friendly. Will stay here again

We were welcomed by friendly staff. Check in was quick and easy, we were even offered a complimentary drink on arrival. Rooms were spacious with excellent facilities including cooking facilities, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Additional toiletries, washing powder, dishwashing tablets etc were complementary on request. The happy hour with complementary snacks every day was a special touch. Staff and owner Michael were all very friendly and approachable. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here when they come to Darwin. I would certainly return when we next go to Darwin.

One of our favourite places when staying in Darwin. Rooms are lovely, a short 5 minute walk into town. Gym, awesome pool and one amazing roof top bar. Go make yourself known to the owner Michael, he is a fantastic host, turned valued friend

We have just spent 7 days at the Ramada Zen and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Good service from the front desk, restaurant and rooftop bar, all staff were always friendly & helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, with a great view of the pool and wharf area. A special thanks to Michael who made us feel at home the minute we checked in until the day we left. Also Lily at breakfast with a big smile and very clear voice. A special thanks to Natasha, Eiryne and Yabin at the rooftop bar, with always great service and big smiles. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return! Ron and Jackie Hill

Fantastic place to stay with the roof top bar which is lovely to relax in watching the sunset. Cafe on-site for breakfast which has a great variety on offer. The apartment was very clean and spacious with great views. All staff are very friendly and a special mention and massive thanks to Wei Wei who looked after us exceptionally well throughout our stay. I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and well appointed rooms. I loved having a kitchenette and a washing machine in our room. Loads of cupboard space to unpack and not feel cluttered. Breakfasts were fantastic . Loved the rooftop bar which we visited every evening of our 12 day stay. We enjoyed a chat with Michael, the owner who is very hands on in his approach to the running of the hotel and genuinely interested in making his guests feel welcome. The free canapes were delicious. The hotel is within walking distances of loads of restaurants and cafes. We would stay here again .

Our allocated room was very clean and tidy. Great views. Could not fault the facility as you had the choice of self-catering meals or enjoying the many eateries in Darwin. The roof-top bar was great, and a most enjoyable place to visit and unwind after being out and about all day. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Good apartment hotel, just outside of the city centre but conveniently located. Excellent for families and if you want a bit more space than a hotel room and flexibility to cook/cater for yourselves. The rooftop bar is definitely worth a visit to watch the sunset and enjoy some cocktails and some free canapes/nibbles. The pool is nice and relaxing and the staff are friendly and helpful. The cafe/restaurant has great breakfast and also serves food throughout the day.

Just returned from several weeks staying at Ramada Zen Darwin and was a fabulous experience. The staff are great, friendly and obliging. Management were welcoming and engaging, thank you for your hospitality Micheal and Andrew. Best feature was the pool which was just superb and conveniently located near the cafe. And as many said the rooftop bar to view the sunset over a cocktail or two with complimentary snacks is a great feature of the Zen. One of our group was in a wheelchair and the accessibility at the Zen and helpful staff made our trip memorable. Thank you again, would highly recommend!!

My first time here and such a great place! Great sized apartment with kitchen and laundry amenities- the washer/dryer combo in the bathroom was a bonus. Balcony has an awesome view of the port, plus it’s perfect to watch the sunrise or storm clouds. Gym downstairs and the pool has a city view also Fantastic location to enjoy the city plus get in and out of the cbd easily

Zen Darwin is well located within walking distance of the CBD Mall, Information Centre and Waterfront Precinct for entertainment and restaurants. The 15 Storey rooftop entertainment and bar area provides 360 degrees outlook over the city and ocean. The individual suites are spacious with separate bedroom and enclosed balcony. A large comfortable sitting room including a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities. Housekeeping staff are helpful and considerate. Reception staff are polite and friendly, exceptionally attentive to all individual needs including local activities information and bookings. The 3rd floor level includes the breakfast and light luncheon service, also a fully equipped gym room and access to the glorious outdoor pool area. One drawback is the absence of a formal restaurant dining facility on the premises but offset by the easy access to the many Waterfront restaurants.

What a great place to stay, our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast at Horizon Cafe was freshly cooked and delicious and a great to start the day. Going to the roof top bar in the afternoon to watch Darwin's sunsets are a must and a fantastic way to end a day in Darwin.,

Personally run by Mr Charming and his lovely staff. Has the best rooftop bar in Darwin. Very safe and relaxed and fun. Lots of folk of all ages, a really happy place. Rooms and facilities excellent. We came here on recommendation from someone in Gold Coast! They were right. Location excellent too. All round easy stay. Will be back 😁👌

Excellent accommodation. When we arrived there was a delay in getting into our room due to a key issue. The manager Andrew made up for it by including breakfast for our entire stay and sending us a nice bottle of wine. All staff were very helpful. Breakfasts were excellent and good value. Rooftop bar was nice. Drinks were a bit expensive if you didn't take advantage of the free food. All up it was a very nice stay.
