If you're an animal lover you'll love what they're trying to do here. It's no San Diego Zoo but, the animals here are being cared for beautifully. The care takers truly love what they do and it shows, they understand each animal's personality and they try to enrich and rehabilitate to make sure each one is healthy. They do allow and encourage breeding and handling. The property is well kept and you'll see animals being taken on walks out of their enclosure which to me made me extremely happy. You'll learn so much about animals and realize they're just like our pets, loving and adorable if they're treated with love and respect. Highly recommend for families and love the fact that all ticket costs goes to helping these animals.

April, 17 with the child were in your Zoo, we all really enjoyed it! Everything was great! There was a 40% discount on the site. But the office took full payment from us, they did not offer us a discount. Check the site! They are not interested in giving you a discount and leaving good impressions for you. I feel cheated. I wrote them a letter to the office, but they did not respond to it ((

We purchased ticket but didn't know we had to book a visit which they were very nice and made it happen regardless. Our "tour guide" Michael was awesome, he was very knowledgeable and fun. We got to touch a snakes and a lemur and I got to play with a tiger! They have way more felines than it seems like and you can see them from way closer than any zoo. They have different encounter offers with felines, slots and more. Absolutely worth it!!

What an amazing experience! My husband surprised me for my birthday by booking us an encounter with otters and a monkey. The lady who worked with us was so sweet. She was very knowledgeable of the animals and made for sure we had a great experience. The place is also gorgeous and has so many other animals to see. Thank you for having such a beautiful place for us to learn and interact with these amazing creatures. ❤️

Never knew this place existed and I'm so happy I got to spend my birthday here! What an amazing place they have running in almost the middle of nowhere Redlands. They have so many exotic animals from little armadillos all the way to giant ligers and tigers and jaguars. We did the two hour tour with Caro (she was amazing) we got to see some of the facility and where most of the animals are housed. We learned most of the residents names, where they are native to and how they came to be at ZWF usually via rescue or donation from other places. At the end of our tour we sat in a very nice pavilion where we had a personal one on one interaction with multiple animals and got to feed them and hold them and take lots of pictures. I believe the owners names were Mario and Maria? They have a STUNNING place and I think everyone would love to check it out. Had an exceptional time here. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable and it was clean and well maintained and you can tell the animals have been raised here with love.

One star, because I found out there’s 40% discount on their website - Nobody said a word about it and charged us full price. I feel frustrated that stuff treated us like that. Not nice of them. Everybody allowed to touch an owl. Owls hate then their feathers touched. Their owl looked miserable. Also was sad to see a jaguar in a cage. It’s the fastest animal in the world and in wild he runs a lot of miles. Running is his nature. They should never be kept in such cages. Tickets were almost $100 per person to let pet little monkey for one minute. Save your money and go to Lion Country Safari for way better experience and cheaper price, where animals roaming free in tremendous territory

Mario and his staff have created the most welcoming, educational, safe, and friendly experience at ZWF. Been several times now and I’m continue to be amazed by how incredibly well-kept the exhibits are. Mario and his staff go above and beyond to take care of these animals and treat them as their family. Thanks to Sanjana for one of the best wildlife tours we have ever experienced!!

This was the best animal tour we have ever taken! We felt like we were on the set of Jurrasic Park! The site was clean, beautiful ( lush gardens). Our tour guide, Megan, led us to the sloth enclosure, and was warm, knowledgeable, inviting, friendly, and very funny and loving with the sloth, and my kids. They also have 1/2 price specials often, making it affordable to book more than once! We can’t wait to go back!

The most wonderful birthday experience. We did the private tour (I have been asking for a year) and I just had the time of my life. I love animals so much and this touched my heart. Our guide was so knowledgeable and nice. Learned a lot!

The wildlife encounters that are offered here are unlike any other experience I've ever had. Very different from visiting a zoo. Call before booking if you want to see a very specific animal to make sure they currently have one for your visit. When I called to inquire about a tour, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and I ended up being able to book on a day that was not available on their website, which is extremely helpful if you're traveling from afar and only have limited days in the area. Because I went in December, my admission fee was discounted because I agreed to bring a toy for their toy drive, and I love this idea that they contribute to the community. I was able to get all the pictures I wanted and did not feel rushed along. The tour guide (Madison, I think) was really great and made the whole trip unforgettable.

I have visited here 4 times now and every time was a great and unique experience that is not something you find anywhere! I have visited 3 times in 2019, and once again very recently last week. There was a small complication with one encounter, but the tour guide was amazing and accommodated us with two extra experiences to make up for the inconvenience! There aren’t places in Florida that have close up and personal encounters with animals like the ones at this sanctuary. It is also very private and NOTHING like an overcrowded zoo experience. They offer discounts throughout the year which makes it easier to do multiple experiences. I recommend it as a fun activity with friends, family, or a date with a partner!

We had the most wonderful experience on our tour and got to pet and feed many animals. The zoo has a great variety of animals that are not typical of regular zoos. I recommend doing the ZWF Wildlife Presentation (two-hours); it is well worth the money if you are an animal lover.

We had such a great adventure and learned so much while there and having our magnificent animal encounters today. It was worth every penny and more. Once in a lifetime experience!! The animals are well loved and cared for, the place is clean and very inviting.

A very informative experience, my kids got to not only interact with cool animals but also ask questions to learn more about them. In the middle homestead away from everything, so expect heat and bugs, I recommend coming during Florida Winter months because I am certain during the summer it would be a bit unbearable in terms of heat.

Honestly this sanctuary is amazing. All the beautiful smart animals you can interact with so closely was nothing I’ve ever experienced before. To do this personal tour it was a little expensive but it was worth it. We had such a great time visiting in September 2019.

This was such a cool and fun experience, our tour guide showed us everything. She also gave us facts about the animals! We were able to hold and pet most animals p.s Michael Jacksons flamingos were sent here after his passing which was so cool! Also, the animals were lively and very well taken care of and most were very playful (excluding sloths, etc 🦥 ) the workers were clearly passionate with what they did too!

This may be a nice "petting zoo", but it should not be allowed. Wild animals should not be encouraged to interact with humans, nor should they be handled by people who do not know what they are doing. Add: After a quick search, I found that this place is involved in wildlife trafficking. Please do not support this place!

Overall the experience was nice, however, the poor customer service seems to be its biggest dissatisfied portion for me. I was quoted one price over the phone, however, charge a much different one. This place is pricey for what you are given. The animals are nice, the experience in the customer service office, not so much. For me, I would not do it again solely based on the customer service piece itself. The trainers are spectacular. The park and it’s cost not so much. Buyer beware, the cost doubled for me when it was all said and done. The agents need better training in relation to its costs. For me, it was a one trip visit and I live close and would advise against it for others when my friends come to visit.

WOW! What an experience. If your an animal lover this an out of the world experience to attend. Private animals showing on some animals you don’t see too often. The up close experience as well as it being a private tour makes everything more intimate, as if it is just you and the animals. Our tour guide Madison was very informative and great with our young kids. This is truly a rare experience and must do if you love animals!

This place is highly recommended for kids who love animals! I went with my 8 year old daughter and did the arctic wolf and singing dog encounter. We were a bit skeptical if we could actually touch wolves since I don't think the website clearly says you can, but we actually could and it was the most amazing experience we've ever had! Our tour guide, Melissa was very knowledgable, kind, and friendly. All the staff in the zoo were very polite, friendly and professional! I would come again for another encounter and tour.

I thought that it was a little pricey, but I enjoyed the experience. You can pet some of the wild animals, but they wouldn't let me get in the cage with the lions to pet them. 🤔

This is truly a once in a lifetime experience that my wife and I will never forget. We did the Feline experience which was absolutely a dream come true. Getting to pet a baby Lion cub-- Zuri was so exciting. We loved every second of the time we spent at ZWF and cannot recommend it enough.

Very nice place and very clean. The staff is adorable. We took the feline encounter and it is really worth it. We had a tour of the park and 10 minutes with a tiger, a white Bengal tiger and a linkx one to one. The animals are very well kept and you see that the staff is treating the animals with lot of love and respect. The cages are super clean. The whole park is amazing you can see the animals really close. And there are a lot of different species. The guide gave us plenty information and answered all of our questions.

Buyer beware. ZWF will STEAL your money even if they cannot provide the service you purchased. Will not give a refund even if they are at fault and do not disclose ending attractions before you pay. Scam artists. Choose another zoo.

The place is nice but they were very behind schedule. Our guide was really good but other guides and employees were"hanging around" in one of the enclosures.. also in the office lots of folks in there socializing but when we waited and waited for my husband's encounter they said there was only one guide and one group at a time... I reserved at 4 pm with the one hour tour... It was 6:30 and we were still waiting with another group ahead of us. We got there early and should have been the first to go. We arrived at 3:30 for the 4pm tour and we're the first ones there. Anyway, finally I told them I just want to cancel my husband was fustrated and hungry.. It was supposed to be a birthday gift all the time waiting he just wanted to leave.. they wouldn't let me cancel but said he can reschedule. For a five min encounter it's a shame to have to reschedule when we live over an hour away... It was also unprofessional to keep hearing there was only one guide with so many of them in the office and laying around in the enclosure with the Cubs while we were on our tour... I read so many good reviews and was really disappointed.

The zoo is really huge and plan to be there for at least 6 hours to see everything. I went around 3pm, and the zoo had extended hours until 7pm. I still missed few sections, and almost all the animals were ready to go in by 5pm. Overall it was a okay experience, lot of walking.

We had a wonderful time at the zoo today! The animals were all very active and seemed to be well-cared for. The enclosures were clean and spacious, and the zoo itself was very clean and well-maintained. We were particularly impressed with the variety of animals at the zoo. We saw everything from lions and tigers to monkeys . We also saw some more unusual animals, such as sloths and armadillos. It was great to see so many different animals from all over the world. One of our favorite things about the zoo was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and knowledgeable. They were happy to answer our questions and share information about the animals. We could tell that they were passionate about their jobs and the animals they cared for. We also enjoyed the variety of educational exhibits at the zoo. We learned a lot about different animal species and their habitats. We also learned about the zoo's conservation efforts. It was great to see that the zoo is more than just a place to see animals - it's also a place to learn about them and how to protect them. Overall, we had a fantastic time at the zoo. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience. Here are some specific things that we liked about our zoo experience: The animals were all very active and seemed to be well-cared for. The enclosures were spacious. The zoo itself was very clean and well-maintained. There was a wide variety of animals to see, from common animals to more unusual ones. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. There were a variety of educational exhibits. We would definitely recommend this zoo to others

Jabari and Michaela were nothing short of incredible to us. They made sure we enjoyed every second of our tour and experiences. What a great thing to receive the care and customer service those 2 provided. Jabari took the time to educate us with a variety of things we had no idea about. He doesn’t only care about the animals (all animals love him back) he cares about us being comfortable, enjoying and also knowing what is behind the life/habits of each animal and their uniqueness. Absolute best decision to visit this location, and blessed for the 2 great team members that made it that worthwhile.

The Zoological Foundation in Miami is a small piece of nature's paradise, and we also added the wolf experience (photos attached). Tamyra led our tour (she's AMAZING, by the way). The diverse range of species and a solid commitment to conservation make it a must-visit. Tamyra's expertise and passion elevated the experience and left us wanting to adopt her 😍. Highly recommend. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with all the rare animals, their unique personalities, and Tamara before she studies spiders in Australia!

Horrible place with sad, dirty enclosures. No accreditations (all were pulled). I have been an animal keeper in the palm beach area for three years now and i am appalled by the conditions. I was gifted the tour as a christmas present and i gritted my teeth and went. I could write an essay on what I felt was wrong and the god-awful exploitation of the animals that i witnessed. Do your research before giving your money to places like this. Look for animal facilities accredited by the AZA or ZAA

This place is a must go. You get an up close and guided tour. Your tour guide will tell you about each animal and where they came from. During the tour you will be allowed to interact with and hold some of the smaller animals. The animal enclosures are kept clean and the grounds that the zoo sits on is landscaped beautifully. You must sign up for a tour time.

We did the general wildlife experience on top of the feline experience. The general wildlife is something everyone should do, on top of whatever else, as you get a tour of the whole facility! Our tour guide Janra was awesome she did both tours with us and helped gather a ton of photos and gave us lots of info on all the animals. She even brought her favorite baby monkey along with us! We had a great time and would definitely tell people to go check this place out, they take pride in there animals and try to give them the best life they can possibly have.

We went to ZWF Miami for the first time this past week. It was an amazing experience I will never forget. Our tour guide was Megan and she did a fantastic job! She was very knowledgeable about the animals and was able to answer all of my questions. ZWF Miami is incredible because it allows you to get closer than at a zoo. I love all animals so it was great they have a "Special Wildlife Experience" so I could see them all! I got to hand feed a sloth, monkeys, and anteaters to name a few! My favorite part was petting the Liger cub! This is definitely something all animal lovers should do and worth the cost!

Visiting this was an awesome experience. The tour itself was great, our volunteer tour guide Jose was great and knowledgeable. The entire facility was very clean and the animals seem healthy and clean. We spent an a great deal of time in the tiki hut interacting with numerous animals. We held and played with a monkey, parrots, an owl, baby alligators, a large boa constrictor a Komodo dragon and other animals. The staff was friendly and accommodating. If you are visiting Miami, I highly encourage you to take the trip down to ZWF and see if there is a Groupon that can save you some $$$. Parking in the grass is a bit awkward outside the gates, but not a major issue at all. All in all we are very happy we visited. This place is great for kids, teens, adults and anyone in between!

This facility is awesome! My husband and I recently did the Feline Experience and were able to feed lions, tigers, a liger, and hand feed servals. We were able to interact and play with a baby bob cat, juvenile serval, and an adult clouded leopard. Unfortunately, we were unable to do the tug of war, but our awesome keeper/guide Jay allowed us to feed more of the big cats. Jay was great and we appreciate her showing us all that ZWF does! This facility is pricey, but the money goes towards all of the amazing animals and those who care for them. In the past, I have visited to do multiple animal interactions including lion, jaguar, and tiger cubs (please note the cub photos were from 2015), as well as lemurs, gibbons, and more. Not many places offer these experiences, so if you want to see exotic animals up close, go to ZWF! The animals are definitely well cared for and it does not go unnoticed by how loved they are.

It’s a well kept place for the most part, animals seemed sad. You would have to see for yourself by taking a tour. Fun interactions with 6 different animals for the general wildlife tour. Hopefully you get a better tour guide than the one I had. Melissa was very condescending to the kids, acts like they are her own. You can tell she does not like her job, I don’t know anyone who has such an easy job but is still so rude.

My family loved the general tour at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation. I was worried that our GPS was leading us astray, but sure enough, this place is a little off the beaten path (watch for potholes on the short dirt road!). The property is beautiful! So lush and vibrant, even in January, and you know it's healthy when even the native birds, reptiles, and small mammals choose to make it their home. The animals residing in enclosures here seemed well cared for and content. The enclosures are smaller than what you might see in a larger zoo, but knowing that this organization doesn't qualify for grant funding in the ways that larger zoos often do, it's apparent that they are still putting in so much effort to care for the critters here. Our guide, Jay, was incredibly knowledgable of each animal and answered all of our questions! Her intelligence and passion were clear, and she made my children feel at ease during the short animal encounters at the end of the tour. The gift shop is a little bare. We would have love to see more options in there! We for sure would have purchased a plushie of our favorite animals had they been available. All in all, this exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend this!
